“Absolute amazing place to eat traditional fried American food done right by Americans! The prices are fair and there’s a good variety of drinks and sides. The mac & cheese is amazing no matter what that other guy says. To the guy that said it’s not American owned anymore, it most certainly is I guess you just got a problem on what kind of Americans they are. Also, pretty sure they are Korean. Or at least that’s what my Chinese Buddy tells me! But since it is Asian American owned now we are forced to eat with chopsticks.“

“I was there last. night (Thursday) and the Octopus was delightful as was my 'ordinary' salmon plate with their delicious veggies....The home sparking pink wine served in an unusual goblet was ample and perfect (a substitute for the more expensive Brut when they didn't have theirs cooled._ The alternative was just as good. I'm no connoisseur but I know a good meal when I'm finished. Food ample and the less expensive dishes looked just as appetizing as the more expensive ones. I want to try almost everything once....“

Being the Southern inspired menu, we opted for the fried green tomato appetizer, panko breaded deviled eggs were an unexpected and unusual offering that was phenomenally delicious. “Delicious soup and side dishes. Their pork hansang rice dish is superb. I don't know what seasoning they put on it, but it's so flavorful. “Great place to get together with family or friends, food variety is good and the service is great.
All the meats we tried were really good.
The steak, the beef bogoly, the thin sliced pork and the thin sliced brisket, all good.
The shrimp ... Not so much..we ordered it twice, the 2nd time it was not good, I Mean it was going bad, we didn't eat it.
The waiter was very apologetic.

“This spot is a family favorite of my husband and his family. I've been here about 10-15 times now and each time we leave happy, well fed and normally with a little snack/to go box with our leftovers. The fried rice is delicious, they cook everything in front of you (of course) and I'm always satisfied. I will say the prices have increased and the meat quality isn't amazing but it's always a good meal.“

“I have been coming to this restaurant for 5 years now and I would highly recommend the lo mein. The shrimp lo mein is me and my wife's favorite. They don't use tiny cocktail shrimp that is typical of most places. They use the jumbo shrimp you would find at a fancy seafood restaurant. Other dishes I have tried were good too.“

“On the surface this is a throwback old school American Chinese takeout complete with Moo Goo Gai Pan which btw is an underrated classic. I mean it just tastes very simple but also has flavor. But ever notice those wood tile tags in Chinese on the wall posing as decor to the unbeknownst. That’s the “secret” “hidden” menu. Asking about it unlocks a photo book of what “they” would eat. More greens and veggie choices, fried fish. One of the workers is also the stereotype service giver meaning they are not “friendly”, not helpful or generous. They are all business and give you what you ask for and add the up charges versus the comps. The other worker sees off menu interest, presents the book AND circles a menu of favorites typically ordered by [your people] after confirming your people. lol. So go there and unlock that menu if you want to venture beyond General Tsos or mix and match.“

“We brought a group of 18 family members to El Estribo this past Saturday for the first time, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. I called ahead to make a reservation, and they were kind enough to fit us in that same day. When we arrived, we only waited about 15 minutes before being seated.

The service was great, the restaurant was very clean, and the food was absolutely amazing — every single person in our family loved their meal. While the food took a little time to come out, it was well worth the wait.

A special shout-out to the staff and chef for accommodating my wife’s dietary needs. She usually can only eat homemade ceviche due to restrictions, but they went above and beyond to prepare a shrimp-only ceviche with no milk — and she loved it!

This place may be tucked away in a small shopping center, but it’s a true hidden gem. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious, authentic food and great service.“
