“What an incredible little restaurant. I still can’t believe we happened across it! My boyfriend and I live in DC and eat out quite frequently, and Tavola topped some Michelin star restaurants we’ve tried. We were blown away by the kindness and knowledge of the sommelier and staff, the generosity and talent of the kitchen, and the overall atmosphere and ambiance. Every dish was on point, every service mark was hit, and I could write paragraphs about the wine recommendations. I would rate it more than five stars if I could. Huge thank you to Clay, Caleb, Kendall and everyone else we met for making our night so memorable. If you’re thinking about opening another location I vote DC!“

“01.28.25 The beginning of January we had our Wedding Welcoming Party at Random Row in lieu of a traditional Rehearsal Dinner. The outcome was exactly what we were hoping for. It was a laid back and fun environment where 80 of our guests were able to have great pizza and refreshments in a way that brought all of the different families and friend groups together. Cori and her staff from the planning stages until the end of the night couldn’t have been easier to work with and we had great reviews from everyone that attended. They all commented that it was exactly what they wanted and many of the people that were there that had more traditional Rehearsal Dinners for their weddings wished they had done something like what we did. Random Row allowed us to rent out the entire facility for 4-hours at a cost that was very affordable. There were some negotiations during the planning stages regarding costs and operations and even the few places that Random Row was not able to have much wiggle room there was always an attitude of “lets try to figure this out and make it happen.” With that said, they were amenable to most of our requests and budget limits. Without commenting too much on pricing and expectations because those conversations are always unique to each situation, Random Row afforded us 4-private hours and we paid for 2-hours of pizza, salad, olives, and an open bar with our guests opening tabs for the rest of the night. The cost was affordable for a middle-class couple and the experience was worth every penny. We live around the corner from Random Row and have been visiting them for years for a quick pizza and a beer. It has been one of our go-to neighborhood spots since we moved to Charlottesville. “It has a great and welcoming atmosphere. It is very student friendly with WiFi available for customers and is also not too loud. The drinks itself are very creative with a Wide variety of choices, my favorite one would be the brown sugar boba. Definitely give them a try!!“

“We *love* Guajiros! Particularly their breakfasts. Staff is perfectly friendly and helpful. The art is fun and the food is FANTASTIC! I loved the breakfast tacos until I got the breakfast bowl. Now, I can't seem to order anything else. The new outdoor patio is great! The indoor is nicely decorated with a " Miami, Florida " feel. But the noise dury busy hours is harsh for sound sensitive people like myself. Otherwise, it's our new family favorite. ❤️“

“Wonderful experience! Hubby and I visited the tasting room for Valentine's Day. We shared the Reserve flight and Valentine's Wine & Chocolate flight. We took home bottles of four of the eight wines in the flights. The food, corn chowder and a crimini mushroom flatbread, was excellent too. It's all cooked to order & served at the table. Very attentive service. Beautiful setting with sweeping views. I'm so happy that we chose it to celebrate Valentine's Day. It'll be easy to persuade hubby to take me again for my birthday in the summer.“

“We stopped here on a Saturday evening in early March while traveling. We shared a flight but did not have any food.

Parking was crowded and you have to walk up a trail to get to the building. There’s a drive way you can drive up to drop people off though. The line to order was long but moved at a reasonable pace. The staff were friendly. There was live music performing in the main level. We sat upstairs at a table so it was a little quieter up there but they were pretty full. The cider was good. I liked the strawberry ginger the most of the 4 we had.

There were a few kids running around. I find this to be a bit inconsiderate of parents when the place is jam packed and the kids are on the loose. I’m not saying don’t bring your kids, but have some situational awareness.

It looks like they have some outdoor space. It was too cold and windy to be outside on the night we were there.

Overall this was a good experience.

Parking: Big parking lot

Kid-friendliness: There were a few kids running around in here. My advice would be to keep them in your sight and don’t let them run all over the place. There are plenty of things to trip over or crash into including other people.“

“Limited seating inside but more outdoors - area is covered. Standard small brewer with a limited but diverse selection of beers. Food is available - some items from MarieBette Cafe. Ordering is done at the bar. Bartender was knowledgeable of beers.
Bar adjoins 5th Season Gardening store. Be sure to stop in either before or after Rockfish. It's a great shop with lots of unique items as well as gardening supplies. Large parking lot of side.
We will definitely visit both places again.“

“Excellent restaurant. I would suggest the mahi mahi if it's on special when you go. I absolutely do not like fish but this was made so well I ate several bites of my mom's. I did have the burger and it was made perfectly. Our waitress was very attentive as well.“

“I had such a wonderful experience at Jefferson Vineyards. We did a wine flight and explored the grounds a bit — everything was beautiful, peaceful, and the wines were fantastic.

What really made the visit special was the service. Lisa helped us and she was absolutely amazing — so kind, genuine, and knowledgeable. She really went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and her warmth truly added to the whole experience. The rest of the staff were also friendly and attentive, which made the atmosphere feel even more inviting.

“We had an amazing experience with Red Hub Catering. They provided our cocktail hour food, reception buffet, cutting cake, bartending service, and Sunday brunch. The food and service were impeccable. For bartending service, Red Hub provided the bar set up and mixers, but allowed us to provide our own alcohol which is uncommon among catering vendors. Red Hub generated a custom menu for our reception that consisted of a nacho bar for cocktail hour followed by a taco buffet for dinner. They also baked a beautiful cutting cake and delivered brunch to the lodge we were at the following morning for everyone to enjoy. Overall an incredible vendor who expertly provided us multiple wedding services.“

Service was really good and complimentary chips/salsa were good. They have a few vegetarian options and and willing to help you make things vegetarian. Plates were big. Service was super fast. Prices were cheap. Don’t think I would go back, but it was fun to try. I’d recommend if someone is looking for fast and affordable Mexican near the dt mall.“

“Outdoors today at ABB bc they are finishing renovations after a break in. Everything was delicious and the brisket and pulled pork was seasoned beautifully. But the star of the show is their biscuit. They are made with a perfect pinch of pepper. That biscuit would be amazing with anything - scrambled eggs bacon and strawberry jelly or dukes and fresh tomato or a BLT. OUTSTANDING.“

We did the deluxe tasting, which covered the majority of their offerings. All the wines were delicious, and our server was friendly and informative.
The winery itself is beautiful, plenty of outdoor space to relax and enjoy the wines. There is even a Tesla charging station if you need a charge while you are touring.
