“We came here on a cold windy night and the shabu shabu hit the spot! The staff were very friendly and helpful as they explained and showed us what to do. We ordered prime rib, pork, and shrimp as the proteins. I had a tonkotsu + tomato broth and my husband had the spicy miso + tonkatsu broth. Everything was very fresh and flavorful. We’ll be returning for sure. I recommend California Shabu Shabu!“

“This feels exactly what I want a sushi place to feel like. It is clean with a nice modern feel and the service is professional but kind. The food came out fast and all of the sushi was delicious, my favorite being the maguro nigiri. I do wish the rice to fish ratio was a bit higher, but I will happily come back despite that minor difference in opinion.“

He asked me is it my first time here? So Yes! Then he started recommending all of those signature dishes which I was gonna ask him since the first place but he did a very good job beginning with that! Plus he was genuinely kindhearted and care for his guests. The chef(I guess)also delivered food by himself with A5 Wagyu and other stuffs for you! The music also made it a lot more enjoyable! “I visited a take-out Japanese restaurant at the H-Mart Fairfax Food Court with modest expectations regarding the quality of the food. Surprisingly, the Chirashi Salad Bowl and the Sashimi Combo were fresh and flavorful. Initially, I thought the Chirashi Bowl might be too small for one person, but it was just the right portion. However, considering its price, I found the Sashimi Combo to be relatively small. For those who prefer to dine in, there is a shared seating area in the center of the food court accessible to all the eateries.“
