“Had a coupon from inkind so tried this place out. Staff is very attentive and friendly. Atmosphere is warm and welcoming. They have music playing but it isn’t too loud or overwhelming. Seating is nice because you can choose to sit at the lower (table height) counter or high top level counter. If you aren’t familiar with hot pot or unsure of the best combos, staff will prep your dipping sauce and broth and cook your noodles and other items to ensure it turns out amazing. I had sushi. Seaweed salad and miso soup were delicious. I gave a four for food because the wasabi is not very spicy. And while the sushi was tasty, it wasn’t the best I’ve had. It took a lot to get that subtle but powerful heat I expect from traditional wasabi. If you aren’t a fan of a touch of sinus clearing heat but love wasabi flavor, you’ll find this place is for you. Def worth the visit and will return to try the hot pot next!“

“We tried this place after reading some recommendations on Reddit. The food was quite good and they had a wide selection. I had the flying dragon and my wife really liked the mango tango roll. But the thing that initially had us was how clean the place was. The tempura was also very good because of how clean the oil was. The service was also excellent. It was so good that we came back the next weekend to try out some more dishes despite it being a 30 minute drive from our home. Definitely recommend and would probably be here every week if it wasn’t so far.“

“Umami 😌🤌🏻🤏🏻 every single dishes is great! The sushi was spot on!! 🍣🍜🍱 Plus first time trying “A5 Wagyu” num num num exceptional service from Thai employees!! I’m so proud of them! He asked me is it my first time here? So Yes! Then he started recommending all of those signature dishes which I was gonna ask him since the first place but he did a very good job beginning with that! Plus he was genuinely kindhearted and care for his guests. The chef(I guess)also delivered food by himself with A5 Wagyu and other stuffs for you! The music also made it a lot more enjoyable! “I absolutely love this place. Full stop. There’s always a tempting selection of sushi to choose from, and honestly, it’s hard not to over-order “just one more dish”. The chicken karaage is a personal favourite — crispy, juicy, and dangerously moreish. The mini salad deserves a shout-out too; that dressing? Chef’s kiss. I regularly go for the chicken yaki soba or the beef teriyaki, both beautifully cooked, full of flavour, and consistently spot on. Add gyoza as a starter and you’re winning at life. The staff are warm, friendly, and genuinely attentive — the kind of place where you feel remembered, not processed. Every time I’m back in Fairfax County, this is the place we go. “Tried BBQ21 and had the jumbo katsu, udon, bingsu dessert, and mango cake. Everything was decent overall, and the jumbo katsu was definitely the standout. The main downside was the value, the udon, bingsu, and mango cake felt fairly expensive for their portion sizes and what you actually get. The food was good, but I don’t think those items quite justify their prices. Still a solid place to try, especially for the jumbo katsu.“
