“All in all, a pretty cool place and unique in downtown Vienna. I want to come back and visit when it's a little less crowded. My daughter and I came here on a Saturday morning to grab a quick cup of coffee before we took on the day. On walking in, I was immediately struck by how small the place is. The space really isn't all that big and there are only about 5-7 tables throughout, so during busy periods (like when we went) it would be really tough to get a seat. There was no line, so we went right up to the counter and placed our order. They don't do pour overs on the weekends, so I got a drip coffee and had it in my hand just a few seconds after ordering. After scanning the room, I realized that there were no tables available, so my daughter and I went outside and sat on a bench out there for a few minutes until the cold got to us. In total, I probably spent less than 3 minutes inside. That's too bad, because I really enjoy getting to enjoy the atmosphere of a coffee shop and having a little time to enjoy and experience the coffee. That said, it was my mistake for coming here at a busy time and honestly, there's only so much you can do about the size of a building. The drip coffee itself was okay, nothing to write home about – but that's drip coffee. I love that this place roasts their own beans and I would love to come back when they're doing pour overs and give it another shot.Overall, this place has some cool potential and I want to try it again and will update my review after the next round.“
“I am always on the lookout for local coffee shops. And this one didn't disappoint. Great coffee, and people were also too nice. cafe was nicely decorated and has good seating space. I was in Arlington for 3 days and came here to get coffee every single day.“
“Wonderful roaster and coffee spot. The staff are full of personality, a little rambunctious and connect with their customers. The coffee is delicious with a full body. I ordered a pour over drip coffee from their selection of different roasts and I was very happy with my selection. The wait wasn't too long and I got to enjoy the dialogue and atmosphere of the little roasting shop. They might only be open on Saturdays, but it's worth the visit if you're in the area and timing works out.“
“I did my school work here, and needed to grab breakfast and lunch while I am in their cafe. The shawarma is amazing. The owner are friendly and accommodating. Their internet is fast, and the atmosphere is laid back. Their prices are also reasonable. I highly recommend this business <3Vegetarian options: Have selections for vegetarian mealsKid-friendliness: yes.“
“The ambiance of this coffee shop is soooo stellar and cute!! Service was great and fast, even with a line. I tried the horchata coffee which I wasn't the biggest fan of - I'm not exactly sure why to be honest. I will definitely return to try something else! Another wish I had - it is not great for a gluten free person - I would suggest that La Coop consider gluten free bread and/or pastry options!“
“I almost walked by this place but I hadn't had my jolt for the morning. I am amazed at how good this coffee is; no additions needed or desired. I don't live anywhere close but I'll have to make up excuses to visit the neighborhood.“
“I absolutely adore this coffee shop! It's pricey, about a dollar more than another competitor (which is already expensive mind you), but I don't mind because I think this particular coffee shop has the best coffee out of all of the places I've been both domestic and abroad. So why did I take a star off if they're so good?Simply put I never know if this place is going to be open or not! Nestled just a hop skip and a jump from the White House, I forgo Peet's, Starbucks, and all the other usuals, only to find a note posted on the door that they're not open! Now, mind you, I've already got a bone to pick with how early coffee shops close in DC and the lack of good diners, but the fact that I keep running into a closed sign is frustrating. It already feels like they're behind the curve being open 7am-4pm, but dragging my feet so I get there after 7am only to find them closed is worse considering there aren't any other good options when I keep on my journey to my next destination. This coffee shop really truly is the best, I recommend it to everyone, but if you work early hours make sure you've got a backup plan!“
“Real Hawaiian coffee (you can ask for 100% Kona for a slight upcharge - otherwise it's Hawaiian blend) served up in a cool laid-back spot with all the good Hawaiian aloha! Had the Kreme de Kona iced and the Caramel Wave hot. All the usual alternative milks are offered. Guys - this is legit da kine ono coffee! Yes, the coffee is that good! They even offer real coffee ice cubes with their iced drinks so it doesn't get all nasty and watered down at the bottom. We also had the malasadas and a blueberry lemon cream cheese muffin - super tasty! Malasadas were especially delicious- soft and warm and covered in cinnamon sugar (this is what churros can only dream of being)!Servers are friendly and helpful. Service was fast even with a line. They offer an app for order ahead and to get points for future purchases.Parking is on street or in the city center garage. They're right next to the back of the AMC theaters.Wish they were closer but maybe a good thing they aren't because I'd be here every day!“
“I would give it more than 5 stars if I could!Been traveling around the DC area and trying different coffee shops, and I can say this is one of the best, if not the best, coffee in DC. Their coffee is unique and the taste is so good. The owner is so kind and is obviously know what he’s doing!Beans are roasted made to order and onsite if you want to buy their beans. I’ve never experienced anything like it.Everyone needs to try it!“
“I liiiiiike coffee . I heard about new coffee shop open silver spring . That was Adulis coffee roaster . I was stop by recently and I order my favorite latte with extra shot and toasted bagel with regular cream . Overall Everything was perfect . I will come back again“
“I want to give this Coffee spot a big Thank You. My first time here they made me feel so welcome. This space is good to work from and to chit chat with the staff. One of the staff member's let me taste the draft latte and it was sooo yummy! They have a lot of bake goods to pick from. My latte was amazing! This is my once a week or once a month treat to myself since I am trying to be more disciplined. Plus it's around the corner from my job.“
“I’ve been checking out local coffee shops because I just wanted something besides my local Starbucks. Heard about this place from a friend. It’s like a hidden gem. I’ve come to this shopping center so many times and never knew it was here. Great, modern and clean space with lots of tables to work. And a delicious latte! New favorite spot.“
“I was in a training near the 15th Street location of Zeke’s. Found it the first morning and went back every day. Shared my experience with others and we all loved it. A local was amazed at her coffee and will be a regular now. The employees were so kind and remembered my order every single day. Best dirty chai I’ve ever had! Quality coffee. Friendly employees. Great prices.“
“Immaculate vibes, engaging service, and most of all quality coffee.Visited DC during the holiday season, and popped by the place during one of our excursions to Georgetown.Got a peppermint latte, maple latte, a breakfast sandwich, and a chocolate croissant. All of them tasted great! Definitely recommended to anyone in the area in need of a caffeine boost or just wanting to chill and read a book.“
“Located near Downtown Bethesda. This local coffee shop has a headed outdoor patio, so it is pet friendly. My good friend is a coffee snob and coffee aficionado and a dog mom, so this place was on her radar. She usually suggests a new independent coffee shop, when we go on coffee breaks together. I enjoy both their coffee and their pastries. They have created a private feeling to their outdoor patio. You might almost walk by, if you didn't know they were there. The staff were quick and attentive, the coffee was hot and sweet. This might become one of my favorite coffee shops, when I'm in need of java. My 2 friends, the furry one and human one agree, this is a great coffee destination.“
“This was my first time visiting the store and I came in to get a bag of coffee beans for a friend. I don’t speak coffee (lol) so I asked for help on deciding which bag to get and Kajsa at the front was so helpful!! She came from behind the counter to help me and was so patient! She helped me for probably at least 5 minutes. I am so grateful for her time & was happy with her recommendations based on my friends taste. I appreciate great and friendly service so I just wanted to give her a shout out :)“
“I came today. A lady name Ayssia was so helpful. She had greeted me upon arrival and took my order in a timely manner. She was very clear with the menu items. She was sweet and patient. I will definitely be back because of her. Best experience by far. Also, the food was great.“
“I didn't go to this coffee shop very often in the past because I felt that the customer service was cordial, but not super friendly. The employees always seemed to be talking to each other and only working when they had to work (ie when a customer came in). However, during the month of December, I decided to stop in to get my husband a bag of coffee and I was pleasantly surprised by the customer service and my chai latte. I asked for a recommendation similar to French roast and the young lady looked up the information on her computer and gave me the recommendation. She was very helpful. I purchased the bag and my husband really liked it! As for the chai latte, in the past, it was never sweetened, so when I took it to my car to drink--boy, was it bitter! This time, the chai latte was sweetened for me. I appreciated that very much. Some of the reviews on here complain that the quality of the coffee has declined. To be honest, my tastebuds are not as good as they used to be since menopause (TMI!!), so I couldn't attest to quality of drinks. As for the increase in prices, I never went often enough for it to make a dent in my checkbook, but inflation has hit everywhere, hasn't it? I cannot think of any place that has NOT increased prices. The one critique I have is that the new employees probably need more training, not only in how to make drinks, but perhaps in counting back change. The man--who was not young--gave me incorrect change. It was off by 10 cents, but still.....that's a pretty important skill. For everything else, I like the improvements in the decor and also the improvements in customer service. I have actually started going in more often due to the new changes.“
“If you have a Nespresso machine, either the original or the Virtuo model, this place is for you. They have a select set of flavors you can sample in the store. There's almost never a wait when I go there. And they have all the flavors available. You can also buy machines and other accessories. It links up with your rewards account in store as well as online“
“As you may notice I'm usually more about the service than just the product. I like Compass Coffee but I like the vibe and atmosphere just as much. Had a few back to back meetings and people were kind and helpful with everyone even though I did plant myself and take up a big corner. Thanks for being cool!“
“I like it when my coffee shops are abundant in selection and choices. For Five Coffees’ set up is pleasing to the eye and good for the soul in a place that is otherwise a pretty drab metro station. I’ve only been here a handful of times but from what I can gather is a well run establishment that is offering very yummy food and drinks at an elevated cost. Nevertheless when I’m in a pinch, I like to come here and enjoy the daily soup special, or a nice hot drink crafted in a no-nonsense place and plug away on my computer in silence. Lord I can use some chill music to ease the vibes here.“
“This may be my new favorite place to work in Rosslyn. For Five is somewhere between an upscale coffee shop and restaurant so if you're planning on ordering food, expect around a $20 bill. The interior decorator for this location did a fantastic job as there's plenty of space for remote work with the option of sitting in a cozy loft area.I ordered a turkey sandwich and a coffee both of which were fantastic!“
“Rare Bird does not miss with the quality of coffee at all. They have a stylish, well-maintained Strada and a great selection of coffees. Love the naturals every time. Some really great, thoughtfully designed, locally thrown drinkware. It's a serious gem.Parking: Street parking is a bit of a premium here. There's a local public lot just around the block. Perhaps not the best for accessibility, but there are options.“
