“First time here. Based on reviews it appeared this is a great place for Vietnamese good. We came in on a Saturday there was only one other table. We were seated but service started out a little slow. We waited to place orders and food was a little slow to come out. The food tasted good. I had the beef stew with egg noodles teh overall flavor was good with good selection of meat and vegtables. Overall the portion size was a little small compared to many other resturants we have been to. The appetizers were ok. The sauces that came with the rolls were ok. Not great but ok. Cafe Suda, I have had better. The folks there were very friendly. The ambiance was very nice. We loved the flowers and this resturant appears to have a full bar. We will have to come back to try other things.“

“I've always been a fan and a regular customer for years at this little neighborhood place esp when they run a much loved lunch buffet. I went back a few days ago to revisit their food and service. The service is as good as ever; however, I was surprised at how much they have increased on their prices. I guess expansion and growth (they opened another branch in Arlingnton several years ago) is inevitable and capitalizing on this popularity has its own upside and downside. I ordered their Paa Tad fish dish which did not disappoint but a simple fried fish and for its size, the price was a bit exorbitant for me. I would still visit the place but would be more careful about my choices next time.“

“I ordered the Pho Eye Round Steak & Well Done Brisket and it was so delicious! It was accompanied by a large amount of fresh bean sprouts, basil leaves, chopped onions, cilantro and jalapeños. The portion size is more than plenty for 1 person, so I saved half to eat the next day and it tasted just as good. Will return again for more soon! 😋“

The owners are so lovely, and they took such great care of my friends and me. The food was so delicious, I have never had such fresh crawfishes before. Pricing for portions and quality was very valid. “I can’t say enough great things about this tiny family owned and run business, first we were greeted with a huge smile, seated immediately and watered within a min, this from our 60/70 year old server. He was very helpful and went out of his way to make sure we had a memorable meal. The food is amazing , really really amazing. The freshest ingredients is all they serve and holy smokes the serving sizes are amazing. We ordered a lot of food and ate every single thing. I will be back allot. Thank you“

Highlights include their pastel de queso, the sonso de yucca, the empanada arroz and the sopa de mani but there's so much more including delicious Saltenas and if you're really hungry their Majadito. The staff is super friendly and attentive and they are easy to find with good parking. This will definitely be one of my first stops anytime I am in this area.“

“Always an amazing experience. My favorite is the Bo Luc Lac in either salad or hot stone bowl. Pictured you will see both ways. The crispy rolls are great, summer rolls with both shrimp/pork version or bbq pork version. The pho is amazing. Fried rice is a generous portion of seafood/meat. By far the best Bo Luc Lac in the area; tried close to 10 others. Always room to sit down but busy. Love walking the hallways in Eden Center, it's like you're in Vietnam. The staff is very welcoming and nice, you'll see the same three ladies every visit.“

“This is the kind of place that you go to as a single person trying to get a quality meal without breaking the bank- you then take take someone there for a brunch date- further down the line you make it a regular place for you two. Flash forward you now have a family and introduce the kids to and they also love it. My point is this is the kind of place you will always go to and at every point in your life it will be there for you. I went with my girlfriend and now she's my wife and we still love it. When my Grandmother had severe dementia and didnt enjoy much she still loved going here and the staff and atmosphere gave her the feeling of being somewhere familiar and welcoming. New places opening up wont be like this which is why its so important to keep supporting City Diner- lets not make this a place that we only appreciate once its gone- its a place beyond the food- its a true family restaurant that has been there through multiple generations of my family.“

Initially, the restaurant didn't handle crowd control well in their early months. There was no waitlist system, making it hard to justify waiting a couple of hours just for a bowl of ramen. But now that the curious crowd has dispersed, I've come back a few times to check the consistency of the flavor and to see if it might become my go-to spot for ramen. For this visit, we ordered the Classic Omurice Combo with curry sauce and the Spicy Kyushu Tonkotsu. The Omurice Combo really stood out. We chose curry sauce over demi glace, which was a great decision – the curry sauce seemed to have more depth and paired better with the dish, in our opinion. The egg was cooked to perfection, not too thick and not too runny. The Amazing Lemonade drink with cucumber added to the experience, being refreshing and elevating the taste to another level. The Spicy Kyushu Tonkotsu was also impressive. It featured thin slices of pork chashu, similar to my favorite ramen place in NYC. The smoky flavor of the chashu was excellent, adding aroma and depth to the dish. The slightly salty seaweed, along with the soft, sweet bamboo shoots, made for a good combination, enhancing the dish's flavor. The marinated egg, with its balanced taste and just-right cooking, was another highlight. Overall, Kyuramen delivered a memorable meal, with each element of the dishes complementing one another beautifully. The flavor has remained consistent during my recent visits, really standing out. This makes it not only the top spot on my ramen list in VA but also probably my second favorite spot overall in the East Coast. What sets Kyuramen apart is that it's the only ramen place in Northern Virginia that gives you the authentic feel of a ramen store. Sitting at the bar and watching the ramen-making process is a unique experience that adds to the charm. It’s definitely worth visiting for anyone who enjoys a mix of well-prepared flavors and dishes.“

“Finally an Indian restaurant who can really impress with their taste. Tried jackfruit biryani, panee lababdar, daal maharani and achari gobi. All of the dishes were outstanding. Paneer had a very enjoyable smoky flavor. This is a must try, will be coming back.“
