Its old fashioned design is perfect for downtown complete with inside counter and outdoor seating. The service is friendly and the food is good! You won’t be disappointed… well maybe if you realize how much time you wasted not knowing about this place. It’s wonderful!“

“we found Merks on a fluke last week, what a fantastic find! Everyone, guests and staff both were so very friendly to out of towners. The food was great, service was great! if we ever get a chance to get by there again, we'll be in!“

“I think anyone else that had arrived when I did and experienced what I had would more than likely have given a lower review. However, I found the evening quite fun and amusing. Stopped in here from a bike ride that's right on the trail for their beer and food. Unfortunately no food trucks were available and the manager informed me or I should say warned me that they had just gotten in a pizza oven the day before and he had not used it. I decided to go ahead and order the pizza anyway which was also the managers first time ever making pizza and using the oven. I have to say he gave it his best although the pizza look like it had seen better days, it was delicious. I will not post pictures here for fear of people may turn their nose up at it but I have to say he had all the correct amount of toppings and it was quite good. Also really enjoyed his fun attitude and the pleasant attitude of the bartender as well. Had a great time and would definitely recommend and visit this place again if I'm in the area.“
