“Prices are good at about $10 per person and with good size portions. Food is cooked to order, no reheated food here.
The atmosphere is very basic cafeteria style - you come here for the food, not the atmosphere.
The fries are the best seasoned fries I've ever had. Not too salty, not too plain. That's a lot of details on fries, but when you finally find good fries, it's worth mentioning :-)
We had the Gyro (lamb) & Italian sub. The food was absolutely delicious and I would definitely recommend coming here - even if you just want your food to go.“

“I went to lunch at sals on Sunday afternoon, right as you walk in the restaurant is clean and visually appealing. The staff greeted us warmly and sat us almost immediately. Our waitress was a woman named Chey and she was so incredibly sweet. Very helpful with our questions, very kind and very quick to take care of us. “It’s become almost a Friday tradition that after my son’s karate we get him and his sister little Caesar’s pizza and breadsticks. The staff has always been friendly too us. Even when they are behind with orders they don’t show frustration to the customers. ?“

“Had lunch here for the first time today. Met a group of old friends. The wait staff was very attentive and accommodating to all of us. Everyone in our group really enjoyed their selections and most of us had enough that we had to take some home. One even ordered more food to go. We will definitely go back. “We were on vacation and wanted to try some local places. We stumbled onto this place and it was a great decision. Even our picky teen loved it. The pizza is one of the best I have ever had. The food sizes are big and delicious! The prices are very good to and worth every penny. I highly recommend this place. Our group have the fried mozzarella, chicken wings, 2 pizzas, chicken parmigiana, tortellini and it was all so good. The service was also quick and our cups were never empty.

“This is literally the only Pizza Hut in Newport News that I would go to! The rest of them I have no clue why they're so nasty or the food tastes gross... But this Pizza Hut is literally the only Pizza Hut that cooks the orders right... And they are nice and the food is always fresh and delicious. These days, good customer service is a rarity so we are very thankful when he brings our order. “We do delivery only. The food never disappoints, but the drivers never pay attention to the instructions in the app. We ask them to leave the food at our door, and they always stand there until we answer. That will always be my only complaint. Everything else is good.“

Overall a solid place but food could use a lil more seasoning, well at least the chicken parm can. “I would've given 5 stars, but 4 is more reasonable. Came in to get food for pickup. When we pull up, lobby is BARE! 1 folding chair and that's it. We ordered our food, lady was nice about it. Food is reasonably priced. Fiance ordered a pizza with ham, black olive, pepperoni. Instead of black olive, he got mushroom. He called the restaurant to fix it. Since it was a pickup, they wanted us to come back to pick it up. Mind you, we live about 6 miles away. So instead, we got a $15 store credit. We will come back as it is good. Check your food before leaving though“

“Best S'barro slice I've had in a good long while. I've stopped going to S'barro because of the disappointing slices but went back for one and it was great. The ziti was still sad, but you can't have everything.

They use a heating oven, that's good.
