“Buttermilk Bake Shop is the best and definitely worth the drive from Chester. We've loved every single thing we've ever tried. Mine and my daughter's favorite is the Chocolate Ganache Cake. My husband's is the cinnamon rolls with loads of icing for sure. I also love the apple fritters and chocolate chip cookies. I could name so much more but these are our absolute favorites. We went this weekend and are ready for another visit soon.“

“A nice place to eat. If you bring more than 5 people with you, expect to pay 18% more than you would because they charge you without telling you or having it posted anywhere in the restaurant. We usually enjoy eating here. We brought family with us and had a poor server, then they threw in the surprise extra fee because we had 7 people... when I asked, they then told me about the fee and where it told about it in the store... they said and I quote "when we 1st opened, we had it posted on our website, but took it off since people know it now..." verbatim what I was told. My wife & I eat there a lot... well- we did. And we definitely won't bring more clientele with us when we do. Food is pretty good. Service tends to be ok... for the most part... hopefully you won't have any complaint because they don't care about them.“

While the tomatillo sauce was delightful, the chicken in the enchiladas seemed to lack the distinctive Mexican flavor profile I typically enjoy. Nevertheless, it was certainly palatable. I was unsure if the additional chips were complimentary or if they were part of my order, as I had specifically ordered chips and white sauce and received two bags. One bag was smaller and included a small white sauce and salsa. Had I been aware that chips were provided with all orders, I would not have placed a separate order for them. Perhaps it would be beneficial to advertise that all orders include a small portion of chips and salsa, but we will certainly be mindful of this for future visits. A gent came around and asked if I had any song requests, but I was vibing with the throwbacks, ACDC era stuff. Really just enjoyed the atmosphere and appreciated the staff's measures to keep me comfortable.

“I ordered the steak quesadilla. It came with salad and rice. The dish was tasty and of course you guys know I was looking for birria tacos😅. They don’t cook that here😫. My only request would be to have had my quesadilla cut in half or something. The top shell was pretty crisp so I wasn’t sure if I should pick it up but instead I just cut it 4 ways. It was nice and cheesy and the steak was nice and tender. Definitely recommend and will revisit“

“Running out of gas on our way to Raleigh, NC, hungry and looking for GOOD food, we found this by 'mistake'. And, a great mistake it was! I was impressed that they offered 6-inch subs (plus fries) on their extensive menu. Awesome option for someone who still had a couple hours of driving left. Their Cheesesteak Special was the best I've had outside of Philly in a long, long time. Our server, Nikki, was 'the bomb' and took great care of us from start to finish during a very busy time of day (she even pronounced my name right on the first try, LoL). Definitely will stop there on next trip back from PA, and you should too, whether heading north or south. You will be glad that you did!“

“Colonial Italian Restaurant in colonial heights: if you have an Italian taste bud it’s great. My husband and I sat at the bar for our first time there. After sitting there for about 10 mins we were finally asked if we were dinning in or carrying out. coming from a past server/bartender the service was HORRIBLE. Food was great. I got the build your own pasta with a soup. Soup came out first, after finishing that the plate and bowl sat there until we left. My plate from my pasta after being boxed sat there until we left as well. Felt like we were just a nuisance to her evening. The bartender was NOT FRIENDLY, and I know from past profession we have our good days and bad days but what an experience. She had more conversation and friendliness towards her “regulars” that came in than anyone that was sitting at the bar. We will definitely sit at a table next time.“
