“My wife and I heard about this restaurant from some friends and we decided to try it out for lunch on a beautiful Friday afternoon. We got there at about 2:30 and the staff were eager to help and serve us. We were the only people in a very nice dining area which did not distract from excellent service. We order a glass of wine and a Draft beer. Full lunch menu and we order the grilled chicken sandwich and the Philly Steak sandwich. Both were excellent and well prepared. Also had some onion rings and fries and they too were great. excellent experience and we will return.”

“Some great food, for a small town area! Maybe in years past, it wasn't always the best, but I have not had a bad taste of food yet. Love the pizza and the stromboli. The Large is literally like 18 inches long and about 4 to 7 inches wide, filling the pizza box. It lasts me 2 days most of the time! Delivery drivers are reliable and make sure to call when they're arriving. I think one time, my food was luke warm, but I realized it was from having multiple deliveries, so I wasn't upset. Overall, I am thankful for them, and the staff that help create delicious meals.”

“Wow! Staff is excellent! Food was really excellent!! We got a second bowl of chips and dips and not even 5 minutes later our food was out. I had Pollo Jalisco. You have already seen what I said about the food, excellent! Flan was the best I’ve ever had! I never got below a half cup of sweet tea. The staff was right there before we needed to even ask for anything. All told we were done eating chips, drinks, and our entrees in 35 minutes. So we decided to get dessert. Still under an hour for a family of 4 and the price was also good for food and dessert in these times! They will be getting more business from us!”

“STB has the best smash burger I have ever eaten. Everything is consistently hot and toppings are fresh. Our grandson loves the hot dogs and both styles of lobster rolls are delicious. Friendly service too. Lobster rolls make me feel like I’m on vacation. You should stop in and give them a try. You won’t be disappointed. Amy Denney Urbanna”

“My family and I tried this gem today, and we were honestly blown away. I’m a restaurant industry veteran, and I can say with confidence: this is easily some of the best food in Urbanna. ​I had the 'Mother Cluckin' chicken sandwich (incredible flavor!), my husband loved his BBQ, and the tenders were a hit with our daughter. A huge shoutout to our waiter—he actually hand-made our lemonade, which was a refreshing touch you just don’t see elsewhere. We couldn't resist grabbing some strawberry ice cream, fresh cinnamon raisin bread, and a few tinctures from their shop up front. ​Everything was top-notch. My only heartbreak? We left our to-go box on the table! We’ll definitely be back for a round two.”

“Driving through Gloucester, VA we came across the Gloucester Brewing Company. Such a quaint establishment where they are brewing the beer your drinking in the same building. We opted to sit outside and enjoy our beer. Such a great selection of beers. There was also a food truck on site should you want to have some snacks.”

“My husband and I spent a wonderful weekend at the Hope & Glory! The accommodations were beautiful and charming. We especially loved the flowers in the garden. The Inn was quiet and peaceful. The pool was perfect. We were walking distance to shops and restaurants. The staff is incredible and we could tell they put a lot of heart into making sure their guests have a welcoming and special stay. They make you feel right at home. We will spread the word and sure hope to be back again! Thank you!!”

“We had a delicious lunch yesterday. I had the broiled flounder with green beans, and my boyfriend had jumbo lump crab cakes. I would totally recommend both. Next time, we will try the milkshakes! I completely recommend Richardson’s Cafe!”

“Wonderful experience! My husband and I were pleasantly surprised by all of the flavors, the wine, and the service. We started waking up our palettes with the Bao buns served with smoked maitake butter and the clams…so yummy (we could have picked it up and drank the whole thing of broth). We then shared a cup of the maitake mushroom soup, another amazing choice. As if we weren’t full on those flavors, we ordered our entrees. My husband had the bratwurst and I had the homemade lamb and gnocchi dish…wow! Our wine selection went great with all of the dishes. I had their wine selection of the day, a sparkling dry German wine with hints of raspberry and strawberry. We highly recommend Adrift for both the food and the service!”

“We love Sandpiper restaurant. The atmosphere, menu and staff are wonderful and knowledgeable. We enjoyed dinner there on a super busy night. My husband ordered the rib eye with sautéed shrimp and the steak was cooked to the perfect ordered temperature and the price was wonderful for all he received (salad, steak, shirmp and asparagus, $55 ish). I ordered what was listed on the menu as the Sanpiper Jumbo Lump crabcakes. They were fine but definitely not jumbo lump. Backfin crabmeat at best. My mistake was only asking if the crabmeat was fresh and not specifically asking if it was indeed jumbo lump. The filler was flavored nicely. Will definitely eat here again but will just order differently.”

“I have to say that hands down Linda's has the absolute best chili dogs and hamburgers/cheeseburgers anywhere in Mathews County. I'd include Gloucester County in that area too. In addition, the service is quick and friendly, and the prices are very reasonable too. This restaurant should be on your must try list.”

Service was phenomenal from the hostess to the waiter and every one else we encountered. Food? 100/10. The Thai brussel sprouts are soooo good, and every entry we’ve tried has been perfect. A great place on Main Street!”
