“This is a special treat for our family, they always deliver fresh food and great service. The restaurant is incredibly clean and per my 6yr old the toilets flush great too (he’s the one that notices cleanliness of restaurants) I always recommend this gem!“

“Hands down best pizza on the peninsula- we were weekly regulars at another local spot but now we make the drive from the south end of Hampton to north Newport News to pick it up at least every other week+. For what it’s worth, my tiny grandmother, who grew up in Queens and traveled from Long Island to visit with us for this past holiday, ate half of one of these huge pizzas. And she never eats anything. All that being said, I must admit, the quality has somewhat declined over the past several months. The customer service has not felt… overly accommodating. But we really weren’t concerned with that as much as our order being accurate and the pizza being fresh and delicious. Going forward, (and as advice to anyone who reads these reviews) I absolutely would not pay for “extra” anything on your pizza because you just will not get it. I thought/hoped that this was a one-off issue, or that it was simply a matter of a new cook working, etc.. but after our last three orders having discrepancies, and paying $80+ for two pizzas and garlic knots, I am having a hard time justifying the price, delicious as it is.I will order and make the drive at-least a time or two again and earnestly hope that Pizza Sam perseveres and becomes a mainstay on the peninsula ❤️“

“Make sure to start with a bowl of Olivia’s homemade seafood chowder (when available); fantastic! Everything is tasty, but I’m not going to say anything more to make sure you have a bowl of seafood chowder. It’s the reason I drive from Williamsburg! So I call ahead to find out what day they’ll have it next. Enjoy!“

“One of the best if not the BEST Italian restaurant in Virginia. My friend and I were in total awe. After living in Italy for 4 years I can say, I felt like I was back. The restaurant is owned by a Sicilian family, and you could taste that with every bite you took of the absolutely scrumptious food. It was so wonderful. The location of the restaurant is in a shopping center but don’t be deceived by that once you walk in your back in Italy. Many little restaurants like this there!!! I can’t wait to go back. You won’t be disappointed. ❤️❤️“

“The cook was very friendly and down to earth. I asked if I could get my bread separate from my Philly steak and cheese so it would not get soggy when I went to eat it later at work and the cook had no issues with that was super cool. Great looking food tasted a little bit because it's my first time here the rest I'm saving for my work lunch and the food is great good size portion too and the bread smells delicious. I've lived in the area my whole life and are just now giving this place a try and I'm mad I didn't years ago. “I ordered food to be delivered. The order was promptly made and quickly arrived. The fries are cooked perfectly, not a fan of the ranch at all. The burger was great with fresh ingredients. I wish there was more of a description of the food in the app because I didn’t know it came with tomatoes. The mozzarella sticks are crispy and fat with cheese! Not a fan of the marina sauce, a bit too watery for me. Next time I will try their pizza.“

“They do not have drive-thru. That is a pick-up window only. I most times want little to no human interaction. I believe you can order online or call in, which is fault. It was my first time going to this establishment. Customer service was nice. They let me order threw the pick-up window even though I was not supposed to. They have a ton of toppings, the wait was 20 minutes for an XL, the XL is an XL to me, a ton of options for all eaters, and it is wheelchair accessible. All around would recommend.Vegetarian options: They have a decent variety of vegetarian options. You can customize what you order.Dietary restrictions: They have a decent variety of options. Do ask because I did not.Parking: Free parking and a lot of it. No one really parking in that area at all throughout the day. I believe there is a parking spot for vehicles that carry these passengers.“

“We both got hamburger steak and I I ordered mine well done.it was rare.the onions were supposed to be sautéed and they were like they never had been heated.they were tough.put in the pan and took right out.the soup was like condensed soup with rice added.the corn the same way.hard as a rock.nasty.i have never been disappointed with nicks as I was this trip“

“Food was so good! We had a large party of 20 people. They accommodated for the number of people. Staff were super friendly and very helpful. They did amazing with getting orders and separating checks. The ladies kept our drinks refilled and always asked if we needed anything else. Food came out a at good rate of time for a large party. Atmosphere was very relaxing and very clean. Will be one of my favorite places to eat in the future.Dietary restrictions: Plenty of options on the menu. Something on the menu for everyone. “Had a couple of pick up orders wrong, sandwiches come standard with chips, so we ordered the fries for an extra charge but still got chips. Said something to the staff but no remedy...guess it was up to me to check . So check your order before you leave...otherwise the food is good and portions are large.“

“This was my first time eating here. I ordered a large Stromboli and was amazed at how big it was. I was thinking around 12 inches but it was way bigger, and loaded with what toppings were ordered. Now i see why people recommend them; I will definitely be going back.“
