“H Mart on Elden Street in Herndon is a fantastic destination for anyone looking for a wide variety of fresh, diverse, and authentic food options. The selection is truly impressive, from fresh produce and quality meats to a vast array of international grocery items. Their food court also offers delicious, freshly made meals that highlight the best of Korean and other Asian cuisines.
The store is consistently clean, well-organized, and stocked with everything you could possibly need, making it easy to shop. Prices are reasonable for the quality and variety offered, and the staff is friendly and helpful.
Whether you’re shopping for unique ingredients or just looking to explore something new, H Mart is definitely worth visiting. Highly recommend!"“

“Came for dessert after dinner at the plaza next door, and we got the Red Bean Bingsoo. Love that they use shaved milk, and not shaved ice 🥹 it is on the pricier end for the amount of bingsoo you get (the V-shaped bowl is slightly deceptive), but every bite was worth it.
Saw that there was a self-serve ramen bar, so I’d definitely come back here with friends next time!“

“Gom Soon Ah is a hidden gem in Chantilly, located inside the Lotte Plaza Market food court. My family loves coming here! Their tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork) is my absolute favorite—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and perfectly balanced between sweet and tangy flavors. All their dishes are packed with bold flavors and come with generous portions, ensuring we always leave satisfied. The service is quick, and despite being in a food court, the quality of the food is fantastic. If you’re a fan of Korean cuisine, this spot is a must-try!“

“I came here with some friends for dinner and had a great time. This is definitely one of the best authentic Korean restaurants in the area. At the time that we visited, there were a lot of people there. Be ready to wait a few minutes during the dinner rush and stay because the food is so worth it.
We ordered the homemade kalguksoo noodles with broth (100% I’ll be back to try the spicy version too), cheese donkatsu (crispy and good blend of cheese, the macaroni salad was perfect, salad and rice a great balance), stir fry octopus (newer item that was cooked perfectly, very tender and delicious), and seafood soondubu (spicy tofu soup with a unique broth different from the other soondubu restaurants in the area). This was definitely more than enough for four people to share. I really enjoyed each entrée that we ordered. They have several different signature dishes, including bossam, and also new items not yet listed on the menu. I’ll be back to try more food here! We were so excited about the food that we didn’t have a chance to take pictures of everything.
Parking was easy and free. Great service and kind staff who spoke to us in Korean and English.“

“Andrew worked super hard providing superb service for our table of 8 people tonight. He hustled big time. He stayed on top of removing finished plates from our table and changing our grills to clean ones. He replenished our orders quickly and offered ice-cream at the end of our meal. He returned to our table often asking if we needed anything. Fantastic customer service!“

“It was delicious!! Definitely recommend the Cup bap and the spicy crispy chicken.
The cup bap came with fried rice, spicy fried chicken , peppers, lettuce and onions! It all tasted wonderfully together.
The crispy chicken sandwich was topped with a cabbage mix salad, pickles, red onion and your choice of sauce. I picked the coleslaw as my side and it was delicious!
They gave us a side of free fries while we waited!
Can’t wait to come back and try more items from the menu!“

“Amazing!! Not only was the service impecable, but the food was absolutely delicious! This will be our next go-to spot! You have to try the spicy fried potstickers 🥟 , don katsu, and Jjajangmyeon, with a cold Hite beer. 🍺 Hands down one of the friendliest restaurant owners I’ve ever met. I can’t wait to go back!!!“

“A Familiar Taste That Never Changes.
It had been about a year since my last visit to Kohyang Jip, and nothing much has changed — the same small dining space, the worn-out interior, and a modest selection of Korean dishes. But there's something comforting about that consistency.
This time, I tried the nakji (octopus) dish for the first time.
The seasoning wasn’t overpowering, but it had depth — just the kind of flavor that makes you want another bite of rice. The food here always hits a solid middle ground — nothing flashy, but always reliable and satisfying.
Thank you, Kohyang Jip. I’ll be back again.“

“Man oh man.. where do I begin? The food? The hospitality? The atmosphere? Everything was a 100/10! They kept bringing my lady and I samples of fresh food. We had their Bulgogi buns, their sweet Korean ribs, the wing combo, and they sampled us both their kimchi coleslaw and in-house made fresh mozerella sticks.. ooooh weee these were to die for. The mozerella sticks are not ordinary in any sense!! They’re amazingly spiced and flavorful. The coleslaw too was the perfect addition to everything. The softness of the fresh steamed white rice was the perfect add-on to everything since everything was crunchy and crispy fresh. This experience knocked out the 100s of experiences I’ve had with both Bon Chon AND Choong Man, and I LOVE Choong Man. Can’t wait to come back here more often!! Much love!“

“Delicious! My daughter and I had hotpot bibimbap (steak and chicken) and my husband had shrimp yakisoba. Everything was perfection — and surprisingly inexpensive. Loved the decor and music. This is going to become a regular hangout. Highly recommend
Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian dishes clearly marked and a lot of options
Parking: Tons of free parking
Kid-friendliness: It’s a clean, well lit place, but not too fancy, with big screen TVs playing Kpop on mute and fun music playing (to drown out your neighbors) — perfect for kids.“

“This place is a fun Korean restaurant, featuring meats (seasoned as you like, spicy or not) and seafood cooked at your table on a gas BBQ. Sides come with it and other dishes like japchae and soups are also available. Feed a group very well and be out in an hour! Only complaint is that it's very noisy, not the best for conversations. We had to wait for them to assemble a table for 7 people (no reservation), otherwise there would have been no wait.“

“Dduk Dabang in the H-Mart food court offers a variety of Korean and Asian dishes. Both the ramen and nasi goreng come in generous portions with plenty of toppings, making for a satisfying meal. However, the taste may vary depending on personal preferences. The ramen is filling and offers a rich flavor with its toppings, but some may find the noodles a bit too soft, and the cheese a bit overwhelming. As for the nasi goreng, while some enjoyed it, others felt that the rice was a bit too soggy and the seasoning could have been stronger.“

“TLDR: One of the few places in the DMV serving Korean raw crabs. Come for both the spicy and soy marinaded crabs as well as the gukbop.
. Located in a small shopping center in Centerville, Hwangbooja has a simple layout. With around 10 4-top tables, the dining room is a single area with the kitchen in the back. The restaurant is clean and has English translations throughout the restaurant for those that do not speak Korean. 4 tops can be pushed together, making it suitable for large groups. The entire restaurant only had Korean diners at lunch, which is always a good sign for the food authenticity.
. My party of 2 came on a Thursday for lunch when the place was empty. The lone server mostly spoke Korean, but the menu is conveniently written with both Korean and English translations together so point to order is an option. Food came out exceptionally fast and the same with settling up on the bill when complete.
. Finding quality raw Korean crab in the DMV is a challenge, but fortunately Hwangbooja delivers. They offer both spicy and soy varieties, with each order coming with approximately 5-6 cut up crabs. The flavors of both the spicy and soy marinaded crabs are robust and bursting with the taste of garlic. The sweetness of the raw crab meat plays nicely with the savory flavors of both preparations. The idea of consuming raw crab meat may scare even the most seafood friendly folk, but squishy texture makes the eating experience enjoyable, as you must slurp the meat out of the shell while using your teeth to press the meat out of the shells. The crustaceans come at a cost, with a single order coming in at $28, but it's well worth the cost of admission . The gukbop was also noteworthy, with heavy notes of garlic and a beyond soul warming pork broth that is perfect for a cold day. We recently traveled to Busan and had gukbop several times and having it at Hwangbooja brought me back. Overall, if you are in the mood for some tasty crabs and traditional Korean food, this is the place.“

“**Evergreen Korean Cuisine**
On a chilly, rain-soaked evening, I sought the comforting warmth of Evergreen Korean Cuisine—a place I’ve visited several times for its authentic offerings. This visit proved no exception, delivering satisfying flavors that truly hit the spot.
The seafood pancake, while not the absolute best I’ve encountered, held its own with a generous scattering of green onions and a crisp texture. A respectable choice, though not necessarily a standout.
What took me by surprise were the soups, which far exceeded expectations. The short rib beef soup arrived with an understated appearance but revealed layers of rich, savory depth. The beef was impeccably tender, practically melting with each bite—a dish worthy of two enthusiastic thumbs up.
The cod stew followed a similar trajectory, its humble presentation belying a broth brimming with flavor and perfectly cooked fish.
Every dish ordered tonight brought genuine comfort and satisfaction. I’m eager to return and explore more of Evergreen’s menu—it’s a spot that consistently delivers warmth and authenticity.“

“This one of my go-to places in Centerville. Today, Kimbop has changed a bit. Carrots were uncooked, normally they were stir-fried. Hope it's fixed next time.
It tastes better to make kimbap with stir-fried carrots, but I don't know if it was a mistake, but I was a little disappointed that the carrots in today's kimbap were not cooked at all. Still, I gave it 5 stars because it's a place I go to often.“

“Literally EVERYTHING on their menu is DELICIOUS! I Love the teriyaki chicken, the beef bulgogi, and their chicken pesto panini 🤤 They are also very very generous with the amount of food you get. For example their chicken panini has a HUGE piece of Chicken breast in it and the mozzarella cheese are HUGE and thick fresh slices. The word "skimpy" is unknown here 🤤 They have an AMAZING drink selection as well. Really love how many different types of Green Tea they have. If you have a chance to stop by or you're close by, I highly recommend you give it a try. They have outdoor seating with umbrellas.“

“This place is the best for soft tofu soup but I was craving some cold noodles, which were not in season yet. But they made a custom cold noodle dish for me with buckwheat noodles (bibim guksu)
and it was AMAZING. Unfortunately I was too excited to take a photo before eating it but if you love cold spicy noodles, please ask for this as it’s not on menu. It even had frozen watermelon balls in it, which was such a nice subtle sweet surprise. With fresh lettuce, cucumbers and boiled egg, it was like a home cooked Korean dish my mom would make.“

“Korean fried chicken is no stranger to the food scene in the American diet. This chain is doing us all a great favor by serving a superb alternative to Popeyes or simple southern fried chicken joints. The biggest issue I'd have is the bibimbap that doesn't come with traditional Korean pickled vegetable sides - what gives! Hey Bonchon, don't settle and don't cave using Americanized ingredients on your Korean iconic dish!
I stand hesitant in even submitting this review for rather peculiar reason.
Bonchon South Riding is hidden..... so hidden that for the first time in my life, I got to eat at a restaurant like the entire space is reserved just for me. Is this how the obscenely-powerful or uber-famous people dine and how it feels? It's not a dining option actually offered by Bonchon as it's a side-effect of doing tremendous takeout business. I think we saw 10-20 takeout orders during my entire time dining in.
Ok back to the chicken. It's delicious, I need not say anything more and remember not to compromise on the bibimbap or any other iconic dish.“

“First off the service was great! We got the small room which was on par with other similar karaoke bars.
Maybe because it’s been a while since I’ve been to a karaoke spot but the prices were a bit steep (maybe it’s the area?).
All in all we had an amazing time, the rooms were clean, sound system was great, song selections on point, karaoke system didn’t have a lag like some places, and bathrooms were clean!
Small room fits 6 adults comfortably. 8 would fit but would be a tight fit.
Parking: Part of a strip mall with plenty of free parking.
Wheelchair accessibility: All one level. Doors have enough clearance, rooms could easily accommodate a wheelchair, and while the bathroom is plenty big to maneuver, I don’t remember seeing a grab bar in the single person bathroom.“

“This place was a pride of Koreans in the DMV area, a place that’s comparable to NJ or LA where all the good Korean restaurants are located; however, can’t say that anymore. Every menu here became ordinary. They are not bad but it doesn’t give me goosebumps like it used to. Especially Soondaetang became so average that I can’t even call this place Soondae specialty place. Again, still pretty good compared to other restaurants selling soondaetang, but would not give more than 4 stars here.“
