“Seriously, a gem of a hole in the wall local place. My daughter had the "merica burger" and she devoured it. I had a Lucky Charm burger with a rice crispy treat on it... sounds weird as hell, absolutely demolished it and almost ordered a second one. The beer was cold as hell too! 10/10 will stop by this place anytime we are in town, hell, maybe even if we are within 50 miles. Edit: Forgot to add. I had a flight of Bloody Mary's and my 8 year old wanted one. So they brought him a non-alcholic tomato juice in a little cup. He was absolutely delighted. “I honestly didn’t expect to find a spot like this where you get such quality for the price. The burgers here are thick, juicy, and totally satisfying—way better than I was expecting for what you pay. They’re cooked just right, with a nice crispy edge on the outside and tender on the inside. The service here is great. The staff is super friendly, and even though the space is a little tight, they make it work. The cook is really down-to-earth and more than happy to chat while they’re getting everything prepped. There’s a good amount of seating outside, and the A/C inside is a nice touch when it’s hot out. They accept both cash and credit.

The drink menu isn’t huge—just water, lemonade, limeade, and tea—but honestly, you’re not coming here for the drinks, you’re here for the food. And the food? Definitely worth the wait. It takes a little longer to cook, but it’s all made fresh right in front of you.

“We live and work in the Brookland Park Neighborhood and love BPK's accessibility, friendly atmosphere, well balanced menu and service. Not only have we dining multiple times, recently I was in a pinch for a cocktail party and found relief. At the very last minute I was able to place a catering order for three signature dishes and they were all crowd favorites! If you live in the neighborhood do yourself a favor and check them out. “I live in King William and the power went out through out our neighbor hood, and my husband and I haven’t eaten dinner yet. It was around after 10pm and I remember Applebee’s was still open so I called and the server by the name Kim took my order and she was so sweet and patient, and when I got to the resturant the Manager Sherry and another Server Michayla took care of me and made sure I got everything I ordered and then some. Sherry even went to the back and remade my Steak cause it was wrong size of Steak (she’s the best!😊They are all the Best that work there), and they did all of this while there were closing up for the night.

“Delicious pizza and friendly service. I had the Mediterranean pizza but added beef sausage to it. The beef sausage was deliciously spiced and the pizza was cooked just right.

To my knowledge, this is the only pizza place in Richmond where you can request meat toppings that are 100% beef, turkey, or chicken instead of pork. With vegan and vegetarian options as well, there’s something for everyone here. I live nearby, but never knew about their options until a coworker told me. For me, it’s an absolute game changer to have this place in Richmond (I have a pork allergy) and a great bonus that it’s right down the street from me. Additionally, the price is very reasonable. This will definitely be my go-to pizza place from now on.“

“I came in on 9/13 with my speech impaired son who can speak, but is very hard to understand from someone who isn't patient. There was a manager there by the name of Jappelle (I hope I spelled his name right) who took out order. When my son was ordering, Jappelle made and kept eye contact with him, spoke to him DIRECTLY without looking at me for help or answers, was very patient and understanding and provided service that I have never experienced anywhere with my son, EVER. He made sure to listen to understand, spoke to my son like any other customer, had a smile on his face and created a safe place and environment for my son that made tears come to my eyes. I just want to say thank you to that young man for treating my son as a normal human being, and for allowing my son to feel heard, understood and making him feel that he belonged. I will be back because of this and I hope I see you there!“

“If you use the drive-through, I recommend eating your burger before you get home. It's wrapped so tight in aluminum foil that the lettuce looks cooked by the time you go to open it. Overall I recommend this restaurant and definitely the shakes. Just hope they don't turn into McDonald's with the shake machine never being cleaned to the point where you can taste other flavors and (worst of all) you taste sour, rotten ice-cream.“

“I took my mother to the Byrdhouse rooftop bar for her birthday and my experience was amazing, mainly due to the perfect service and personality of the bartender named Aidan. His drinks were amazing and he was very attentive. And that doesn’t even go to mention the amazing view and great food. This place was a complete vibe and I will be coming back with my friends. I got the pimento cheese with pork rinds, hummus, and shrimp tacos. All were amazing. Only suggestion is the salsa on the tacos should be a little thicker and add a little more, but the taste was still really good. I dont understand how this place doesn’t have higher ratings. My experience couldnt be better. Thanks Aidan for making my mothers birthday special!!!“

“I’m fairly new to the area and have only visited Chipotle, Ironclad and Pig and Brew for food. I decided to come here since they are within walking distance from my home and I was not disappointed! The food is great and the guys who run the place are so friendly and welcoming and it honestly makes you want to eat there all the time. The cakes are delicious and moist. So good, I went back twice within the same day just for a second slice! They’re a great group of guys especially Junior who knows how to make people for comfortable and demonstrates, with great patience and enthusiasm, what it means to give great customer service. I can’t recommend their food enough and highly encourage any and everyone to give them a try if you’re in the area and have a sweet tooth for cake or a taste for something hot and filling.“

“I am a DoorDash driver, and I’ve been to this location frequently. Every single time, it is spotless, everyone is so kind, and they are quick to bring out the food. When I was there today, there was an ENTIRE group of people with one singular order (I’d say around 35 people? All on one ticket.) and I had 2 DoorDash orders. Let me tell you, I have never seen ANY restaurant, regardless of if it was fast food or not, bring out such quality food in such a timely fashion. Not to mention they were so patient with the entire group, and me! They were so nice, and such troopers. Good job today, guys!!“
