“Dining at The Little Inn at Washington was an extraordinary experience, one that was so remarkable, I almost struggled to put it into words. Even though the menu may have changed since our visit in Nov 2020, I feel compelled to share the wonderful memories from our meal. This visit, especially compared to other Michelin-starred experiences at places like Nakazawa, Jean-Georges, and Ai Fiori, was truly special. The dish that has etched itself in my memory was the appetizer, a Foie Gras soup. The name of the dish escapes me now, but the flavor was unforgettable. It elevated our entire dining experience, setting an incredibly high standard right from the start.Another standout was the can of tuna. Initially, its simple appearance in such a refined setting was surprising, but the taste was a revelation. It went beyond any preconceived notions, proving that sometimes, the simplest things can be the most extraordinary. This dish, along with the Foie Gras soup, marked high points in a meal where each course was exceptional in its own right. The meal concluded with a dessert featuring a delightful blend of dark chocolate and orange peels. It was the perfect end to our culinary journey, with a wonderful balance of rich and zesty flavors. The Little Inn at Washington not only met but exceeded our expectations, making it a standout experience among many notable dining adventures.“
“While the presentation of the tasting menu was impeccable, the flavors were lacking. The room and bed were cozy, but the toiletries provided were basic, which was disappointing considering the high price per night. The limited breakfast options of oatmeal and yogurt were also underwhelming, especially considering the inn's attached tasting menu restaurant. However, the front staff was friendly and accommodating. Overall, the experience at the Blue Rock Inn had some positives, but there were also areas that fell short, particularly considering the high price. For this kind of price point a walk in shower, better toiletries, and more amenities are expected.“
“We had a wonderful stay. Klaus provided good, detailed instructions from how to enter as well as the WiFi code. The breakfast was spectacular with excellent coffee, ginger scones, the ginger fruit salad, homemade sausage and quiche finished with a mini-cheesecake. Klaus made us feel right at home. It’s also walking distance from the Inn at Little Washington.“

“I came by for lunch with my friends after Luray upon a recommendation and had a good experience! I ordered the jumbo pork sandwich with green beans and apples as a side. The food came out quickly and was wonderful! It definitely wasn’t the cheapest, but you do get what you pay for. The apple cider donuts are also delicious and I’d recommend trying some. One gripe I do have is that they almost make you tip even though there aren’t any servers. The payment interface makes it tough to not put a tip.“

“It is the best ice cream place in Front Royal(and in USA in general). The workers are very helpful and friendly. Ice cream flavors are amazing. My favorite is coconut ice cream. My kids enjoy this place for a cute entertainments inside as well.“
“First timer here. After hearing many glowing remarks about the Apple cider donuts at this establishment, I made the 1.5 hour drive out to Linden, VA. Walking in, it reminded me of your classic general store on steroids. There was a little bit of everything from signs with cute sayings to a variety of hard ciders from across the state. There are two areas where you can order food. Head to the right where it is less crowded and sit at the bar. I went with the staff's suggestion and ordered the Grilled Cheese sandwich with Brie, bacon & apricot jam with a balsamic glaze that came with French fries. That bacon jam was so good that I ended up walking away with two jars. The apple donuts lived up to the glowing reviews and I could see why people make the drive for these treats.“

“The place is very welcoming and clean, staff is very friendly. They have a dog patio which is fantastic. The food was delicious and while our service with a tad slow, it was still a great experience. The pork fries were amazing, the Frickles were so crispy and they snapped when you bit them. The burger was juicy and flavorful and the fries were bomb. 10/10 on the food flavors!“

“This place is amazing. The new location is great the servers are so cool. Joy is awesome. And the gentleman we had tonight is great as well. I forget his name. Works part time in the kitchen but tonight was severing and did amazing. We will continue to come back here. The host was sweet too!! Didn't catch her name though.“
“This place was renamed years ago The Blue Door. I dont know why Google hasn't kept up. It's a lovely old building, once one of the county's neighborhood schools before all the county schools were incorporated into one location. It has since been turned into a restaurant and inn. I've not stayed there, as I live in the area, but I have eaten there and recently threw a party there in one of the dining rooms. The decor is modern and serene. The service is friendly but non-intrusive. The menu features local and seasonal fare, so it changes from time to time. Everything runs well under the watchful eye of its gracious owner Reem.“

“The food, service and atmosphere were great as always. Unfortunately it took an hour to get our food due to miscommunication with a server. We dine at different Cracker Barrel locations and over the past few years and this as happened on multiple occasions.“

“Me and the wife were able to visit yesterday. Food was beautiful and tasted amazing. Staff was friendly and the restaurant was spotless. Seating was a little cramped, but that is minuscule compared to such amazing food. We’ll definitely come back again.“

“Went twice one in the evening for cocktails and once in the morning for coffee/breakfast. We had espresso martinis in the evening which were amazing the bar tender was great and the entire vibe of the place is chill. In the morning our service was great the ambiance was still good I think the only real issue is that they only had one barista working, who had to take orders and make both the food and drinks which take time, understandably so. I think they would benefit with having one or two more people work in the mornings at least during peak hours.“

“Not bad. It’s a basic small town diner. What do you expect? They don’t pretend to be anything else. It’s cash only (something I respect). It’s not locals only but if you act like a jack-hole, they will treat you like one! I go in every once in awhile when I make it into FroRo.“

“I got takeout recently while visiting the Front Royal area. I got grilled chicken, mashed potatoes and green beans. The chicken was okay. I asked for no Swiss cheese on it and it was still on there. The mashed potatoes and green beans were good. Takeout service was quick and easy.“

“I went here on accident. I was looking for an event. These guys bent over backwards to help me out and get me to the place I was looking for. Being from way out of town I'm sorry I didn't have more time to stay. I love the concept and the grounds are impeccable. Food smelled wonderful and the hospitality is top notch.“
