“It’s been two years since I’ve been back here and I ordered the same lovely cranberry salad with warm goat cheese on top. The difference in two years was that the goat cheese was 1/4 of the original size. It made me sad. Servers were great. Outdoor location was wonderful. Food was just so so.“

“First to visit to Mount Vernon and wanted to eat dinner at the restaurant. The restaurant is very quaint. Although the structure was built over 100 years after the original Mount Vernon, according to the host, the structure retains a historical feel. Our waitress was very polite, friendly, and checked in on us frequently. We had the shrimp and grits, turkey pot pie, crab cakes dinner, and fricassee. Everything had a hearty texture to it, bold flavors, and we definitely did not leave hungry. It was a great ending to our first tour at Mount Vernon. Highly recommend combining your visit with lunch or dinner afterwards.“

“The food was good & service was fine until our bills came. They got our meals, appetizers & desserts all mixed up on each couple's bill. We had asked before ordering if they could do this & the answer was yes. Luckily it got straightened out. One other item - a table of 4 people were so loud it was hard to hear. “The best customer service. I was first time in Springfield and wow what a great suprise. I was waiting for car to be fixed for 2 hrs.
I walked in and so feiendly. I ordered rhe carna asada plate. Wow everything fresh from the salad to the black beans. The best black beans I had ever had. So much food and so delicous.

We had a couple minute wait for our outside table. There were 3 of us and we ordered drinks and appetizers to share. Desi was our server. She was attentive and cheerful (not annoyingly so). The Bang Bang Shrimp, Potstickers and my favorite Ahi Tuna Wontons were wonderful! Cocktails as well! We all had been regulars up to about 18 months ago as the service was atrocious. So glad NYAJ is back. This is my 2nd visit in a month. Will be back soon. Kudos to the new manager and staff. Keep it up!“

“I recently moved into this area and found Cherokee Cafe. Their service is impeccable. The prices are cheap for the amount of food you get. The cafe has ample seating and is well organized and clean. Highly recommend. I would get lunch here every day if I could!“

Base access pass is required.
It is a grill restaurant. Table service is not available. Customers order at the counter to takeout but general seating is available. Food is good and prepared fresh. Portion sizes are good. The cost is reasonable. I recommend for quick meal.“

“Usually First Watch is very good. Good food and good service. Kind of a slow wait, if you get there around 10am on Sunday. Unfortunately, Sunday, April 21 wasn't as good. Got there about 7:45am. Hubby and I got sat to the left of the bar area. Sat for about 10 minutes. A guy, by himself, got seated in the same area. He was served his coffee and his order was taken. I said to the server, "Don't forget about us over here." She looked over and then left. We waited a few minutes, then got up and asked to speak to the manager. He said sorry about that, we can seat you in another area if you'd like. I noticed the server starting out, then she turned around and went the other way. Not sure what her problem was that day. So we went to IHOP, got sat and served right away.“

Food was fairly priced…Taste wise, to be expected. Only complaint was I had to ask for refills twice and waited a bit too long for ketchup (there were only about 4 other patrons so I find it unreasonable to wait 5 minutes/have to ask for refills).
