“Went to Zaytoun with my family yesterday for an early dinner. We all got the combo platter which included lamb, chicken, rice, fries, and salad. The food had so much flavor! We will be back. My 2 year old loved the rice, chicken and lamb as well.“

The volunteer who took our order was super friendly and you could feel the passion as they spoke about the business and how their mission is to help the less fortunate. “This place is a true local gem. Food is of very high quality, and everything is consistently cooked to perfection. Their consistency is actually really impressive - I’ve never been disappointed by a single thing, and I’ve eaten A LOT of their food. But everything is so good, so I haven’t really made my way outside of the same few items from their menu. “This was my first experience with this type of food, and it was good! Very filling, the single protein platter was more than I could eat in one sitting, and I'm a rather large eater. I would go back. However, I would say The Halal Guys are comparable to the Little Ceasars or Domino's of their place in the industry. If you want to play it safe with a commercialized version of Halal food, then this is it. Please don't take that as a negative, Little Ceasars has its place in the market & it's time for when necessary, and so does The Halal Guys.“

“The best Chinese takeout in the area. Not the place for you if you’re looking for greasy salty saucy food. I’m 50+ and had to stop eating from nearby spots due to health. My lady lets me eat here I do not feel woozy night of or next morning after eating. Keep it up folks!

Dined in with my family and saw they added gelato now. I chuckled seeing a Chinese spot offering artisanal ice cream but thought it was really nice! They have guava, mango, coconut (which I got and was REALLY GOOD) and passionfruit and lucuma. Very densely packed for under $5 a pop. Something about a place having ice cream just brightens everything up.“

“Ate here for the first time today. Loved the lamb platter I had. Large enough it should have been 2 meals, but I liked it enough it was only one.

Service was quick even during lunchtime rush. I usually go to the “Halal guys” down the street, but will definitely swap over to Shah’s.

I can’t wait to go back to try their chicken and waffles!

Parking: If there is no parking immediately around the building, there is usually some just behind the building. This site used to be a Dunkin’ Donuts and the lot was always full. Sometimes disconcerting to maneuver around because it was so tight.
Shah’s did a great job cleaning up some of that parking madness.“

“I love it here. I wish I took pictures. But I was just so happy the entire time I forgot. Everything about Saba is beautiful. The food is amazing. The people are kind and sweet and happy to have you there. Our waiter was Hamza. He was wonderful and helpful and so sweet. Whenever anyone asked me any question all I could say was “I’m so happy”. Because truly, everything was lovely. I cannot wait to come back. I will be telling everyone I know about my very happy experience here.“

“The food is great. Even the mild has a kick so I cannot imagine how hot the hottest one is. Service was fast. The reason I gave this a four is because an employee was on his break and taking up an entire large table with the only cushion bench seats. We had to sit at a two top because he was taking up a large table alone and for the entire 45 min we were there. This was on a Saturday night at 6 pm. So a peak time and it was full, half way through we were able to put two two tops together when someone left. They need to teach their employees to allow paying customers to sit in their seats.“

I highly recommend a delicious appetizer called shafout and the vegetable stew, saltah, which is served still boiling in a clay pot with hot, freshly baked bread. My husband had the beef stew, also very good. And we tried a very delicious, refreshing beverage made with limes and mint. Five stars for Marib!“

I got the super combo, which has a very good portion and a bit of everything. 5/5 for food, though they could clean the dining area bit more thoroughly.“

“A home-y “hole in the wall” place with good food and sweets. Don’t let this place’s looks throw you off. The AYCE/buffet is $13.99 and you serve yourself then pay after. The honesty system is strong! During our meal, the workers let us try different sauces and explained the options.

I don’t know the names very well but I had: rice with chickpeas, the “stewed” chicken, tandoori chicken, chickpeas, and eggplant. The eggplant and stewed chicken were my favorite! The meats are all SOOOO tender. We also ordered the Naan and it was the freshest we’ve had!

We ended with dessert from the buffet. It was Gulab and soooo good! It was sweet and perfect to end the meal.

Afterwards, one of the workers was so kind as to explain what each dessert was and the flavors. He let us try one of them for free. And then when I ended up picking 2 other desserts, he gifted them because we were new to the place!!!

“I love the food at Mezeh and have always done so but they have recently been making decisions that have left me baffled and the staff seem to be trained inconsistently. What leaves me baffled: 1) No spinach! What? We were just told last week that our local Mezeh has “taken spinach off the menu.” What a weird decision when spinach is probably everyone’s go to salad base. Baffled and inconsistent training: No same staff member keeps it consistent on the meat/protein portion. I feel like over the last year it has become less and less. We even have to ask them now several times to give us more meat and not charge us. When you give us a lazy half spoon that is not cool. Why do you skimp on the portion?! Again the food always tastes great but the service leaves something to be desired.“

The chicken kabob boneless platter is tender and full of flavor. Our favorite kabob was the chicken with green chili skewer. The rice pudding was so on point we ordered an extra side to go.“
