“My husband works retail in Short Pump and went he gets a lunch we like to come to this Tace Bell in Goochland because the service is fast and the food is always made well. The older gentleman is always so helpful, making sure get your cup for your beverage before your meal is ready. We stopped going to the Taco Bell in Short Pump near the Walmart because the staff in there only make your order on their time and the food is sloppy. Nowadays eating out is a luxury.“

“I'm just here to add another 5 stars! Hands down probably the best Mexican I've had, either this or Chociloco in Scott's Addition. I got the Burrito Macho Esteban and it's spicy! Full of flavor and I will go back. The prices aren't bad to begin with but the huge portion size I got made it even better! I was referred here by three friends and today was the day. You'll never see the restaurant from the road and probably pass by it a million times and not notice. I feel bad for them, if they were in a more visible spot they would probably be slammed with business all the time. However, don't let this detour you, the restaurant itself is not difficult to access. I will be back!!“

“This place was a beacon of hope during covid. Other than not being able to go inside at first, it was like nothing had changed. They made sure of that. And this was after it was already my favorite restaurant. Good prices, great food, best atmosphere.“

“Oh it's incredible. The sides, the tacos, amazing. I ordered the chicken tacos and they came piled high with radishes, as they should be! The potatoes were crisp and flavorful, and the grilled corn was so creamy and tangy.

It's a little pricey, but you get an exceptional meal out of it.“

“Aside from my family’s cooking, Mi Jalisco is the best Mexican food I’ve ever had! I was shocked to have such authentic Mexican food so far east in the US, but sure enough, it was delicious. Today was our last night living here so we had to enjoy it with Mi Jalisco one last time. Not only is the food delicious.. their portions are so big and the staff is the absolute best. The service is incredible. We became regulars and saw how much other regulars enjoyed their food, the atmosphere and the staff. We frequented the Ridgefield location(?) off of John Rolfe Parkway. Thank you to Martin, Jesus., Modesto, and the rest of the crew for making us feel at home when we were so far away from family. Mi Jalisco is so rich in the Mexican culture that it almost seems like it’s Mexico! Muchas gracias por habernos cuidado durante este año. Esperamos verlos en el futuro. “First time here. The staff were so friendly and inviting. The atmosphere was beautiful and clean. When looking at the menu, there were so many options. It took forever to make a choice. We ended up with steak chimichangas and baja shrimp quesadilla. The food was so fresh and so good, we can't wait to go back!“

“4/7/24 I observed a worker while getting a propane refill at (Quioccasin and Pemberton) walk out the trailer to the store (gloved hands on the door and other store fixtures, handling money) and back out of the store, back into the trailer and straight to the grill (it was that close) with no change of gloves. I walked over because I couldn't believe what I saw and asked the guy why didn't he change his gloves. Apparently there was a language barrier so a coworker step in i then repeated....why didn't he change his gloves. He then said..."He didn't touch anything" I'm like really!!! If they are that careless and trifling the way sickness is spread nowadays with a "nothing was wrong attitude" towards a question why weren't gloves changed do you really want them making your food? I know it smells good around that trailer but BE CAREFUL!!! folks.“

“Excellent service at this location (11621 w broad st)!! We walked in at 8:54 not realizing they closed at 9. The man at the hostess stand was super nice and pleasant. Even with them closing so soon he was willing to seat us and allow us to enjoy our meal. The waiter was super nice as well. He brought us chips and salsa and took our order quickly. The food was prepared in a timely fashion as well. Would definitely come back to this location for a meal!“

“One of my favorite food spots would highly recommend the best tacos in town the pupusas are delicious also I've tried a number of different dishes here and haven't been disappointed yet. prices are very reasonable too I got 3 carna asada tacos a bean and cheese pupuasa and a drink for 13$ they don't skimp on the meat either it's authentic Latino food“

“Habanero Mexican Grill has been my go-to spot for authentic Mexican food for several years now, and it consistently delivers when it comes to bold, flavorful dishes. The food here is absolutely delicious, with rich, vibrant flavors that make each meal feel like a true taste of Mexico. Whether it’s their tacos, burritos, or one of their specialty plates, you can always expect a meal that’s bursting with authentic taste. The fresh ingredients and traditional recipes have always been a huge draw for me.

However, over time, I’ve noticed a few changes that have slightly impacted my overall experience. One issue is that there can sometimes be a language barrier when placing orders, as not all of the staff are fluent in English. This has led to a few mix-ups with my order on occasion. Additionally, I’ve observed a subtle decline in the quality of the food lately. While it’s still good, it’s not quite at the same exceptional level it once was.

Despite these minor issues, I continue to frequent Habanero Mexican Grill because the food remains some of the best Mexican in town. I hope they address these concerns so that they can restore the consistently high quality that originally won me over.“
