“Chopathi generously donated 50 Bondas and Vadas for the Marshall High School World Heritage Night on March 1st. The Marshall community enjoyed the bondas and vadas with three different chutneys (peanut, coconut, and mint). The food was a hit among students and parents. The World Heritage Night committee is grateful for your donation and for representing India.“
“Super service coupled with fantastic authentic food. Easily the best Indian place in this area that we've had.Edit - if anyone is particularly craving a very spicy curry, go for the Vindaloo. We just went again today, March 10, 2024 and had that for the first time and it is phenomenal!“
“It’s a lovely and beautiful place and the food is good too. However , I asked for more of the green chatni with my chicken tandoori and it came later . I’d almost finished my chicken .Also the innovation you guys are making in some traditional Indian cuisine are really not nice . The rasmalai looked and even tasted bizarre. I mean I can understand that you are trying to be different and sophisticated but it was not a rasmalai anymore !! It was something else“
“We wanted to visit this place from a long time after hearing about it from friends but since we live 45 minutes away, we never got a chance. Luckily, today we were in the area and finally got to try their pizza. I have had fusion pizzas at a few other places in the past but this was the best so far! Thin crust, well done, and perfect taste! We had a large Kadhai Paneer and a medium chicken tikka between our family of three which was more than enough. We have some left overs for lunch now! The owner Manoj was really nice and gave us recommendations for choosing pizza, (out of the so many options they have) since it was our 1st time. The kind of customer service he provides is rare to find these days. Would love to eat this pizza more often if we lived close by.“
“Craving a delicious and authentic Indian dining experience? Look no further than The Bombay Club in Washington DC. Stepping into the restaurant is like entering a world of sophisticated elegance. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a touch of old-world charm. Live piano music fills the air, adding a touch of romance and enhancing the overall ambiance. But the true star of the show is the food. They boasts a menu that delivers a delightful journey through the diverse flavors of India. From perfectly spiced curries to melt-in-your-mouth tandoori meats, every dish is bursting with authenticity. The menu caters to a variety of palates, offering both familiar favorites and more adventurous options.“
“We love authentic Indian food and this place delivered it with style. Linda, our waitress, could not have been nice or more helpful. The food was as good as any we have had on our many trips to Asia. The atmosphere is welcoming and drained with Indian hospitality.“
“The service was impeccable. The staff were all extremely friendly, kind, and professional. The food came out in a very timely manner and every interaction with the staff displayed the restaurant’s deep interest in ensuring the best experience for all of its customers. We will be coming back again for the amazing dining experience.“
“My family and I ate here twice, this past week, while on vacation. Our server, Jasmine was incredibly nice and attentive on both occasions. On top of that, almost everything we ordered was very delicious! The restaurant also has a kid’s menu (e.g. Mac & Cheese, chicken nuggets, etc.) that comes in very handy if your kids aren’t partial to Indian food yet :)“
“We live nearby, and this was our first time visiting Spice Kraft. This will DEFINITELY be added to our roster of regular stops. The food was delicious, the portions were large, and the service was great. AND they have happy hour on the weekends! The only ‘complaint’ I have is that I asked for one of the dishes to be extra spicy, and it simply wasn’t. They brought me more hot sauce, and that didn’t get to the level I’m used to either. This is absolutely a ‘me’ thing as I like my food intolerably spicy, and I will know for next time to specify that I want it “extra spicy as if I were in India” to get the right spice level!Dietary restrictions: We are both vegan, and one of us is gluten free as well, and there were plenty of options to choose from! Love that this place is so close!“
“The interior is very cool, sever was courteous. Service is quick. When it comes to the food itself: I'm on the fence. We ordered several appetizers and main dishes; we liked some and not others. Because it's an Indian Mexican fusion place, the Indian flavors over power any Mexican ones. So, it's up to the customer's taste.“
“Some of the most delicious food in DC. As a vegan they had so many incredible options that you can’t always find at regular Indian restaurants. The dosa with potato filling and idly were incredible and the server was so quick to provide her recommendation for her favorite vegan curry. My friend was gluten free too and we had so many options to enjoy - it was a feast! All vegans in the area need to run over here right away! Veganesha is the bestVegetarian options: Vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options available“
“Was taken there for my birthday. My cocktail was superb and some of the best samosas I've had. They weren't too oily and mostly flaky and crispy. For Dinner, thw wife had Chicken Tikka Masala which tasted amazing and the chicken was very tender. It tasted "simple" and I do mean that in the nicest way considering I've had this dish at other restaurants and the flavors and spices are too overpowing. I had the Miz tandoori platter with a delicious lamb and chicken tikka. As good as they were, the star of the dish is the salmon. Cooked and seasoned perfectly. Many restaurants don't get salmon right and it's usually overcooked and to my delight that was not the case here. Accompanied by the basket of naan that includes regular, onion, and garlic flavors and rice were a great combination. Raj and his staff deliver high quality of service and friendliness to the customer to go along with the delectable cuisine. Bravo Raj, bravo. I Can't wait to go back“
“Had a good time here on a Sunday afternoon. For an appetizer i had, the Samosa, which was good, came with two dipping sauces, one sweet and one spicy. I did the create your on curry bowl. It came with curry (meat choice) with vindaloo sauce, basmathi rice, curried chickpeas, seasonal veggies, and Naan bread. To drink, I had the pretty in pink, which was just ok. The food alone was Def worth making this place a go-to restaurant anytime I'm in the area“
“This was BY FAR the best dosas and Idli we have had in years! Chef Paul is amazing and he told me he doesn’t believe in catering or delivery because South Indian food is best served hot and fresh and I couldn’t agree more! The Idlis melted in my mouth. The dosas were just perfect - the masala and chutney and sambhar -10/10! Go - no run to this place!“
“I come here all the time but I’ve never posted a review. The staff is very friendly, and the service is phenomenal. I feel comfortable here and the facility is clean and modern. Good selection of beer, and the best Indian food in northern Virginia. Don’t skip out on it just because it’s a gas station. You’d be missing out on a real local gem.“
“I usually don't write reviews on Google. But, Bollywood Bistro is by far the best Indian restaurant in the northern Virginia area. The food is amazing, basically the same taste as food in India. The service is amazing and the ambience is very nice. You need to try their Malai Kofta, it is simply perfect. The prices are so affordable as well. I order 3 starters, 2 mango lassi, 2 curries, garlic naan, and 2 desserts, and the total was only $100. Best place if you are looking for high quality Indian food.“
“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Virraaj, and I must say, it was an absolute delight from start to finish. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality that set the tone for a truly memorable evening. The menu at Virraaj is a culinary masterpiece, offering a diverse selection of dishes that cater to every palate. Each dish is expertly crafted with precision and care, using only the freshest and finest ingredients. From the appetizers to the desserts, every bite was a revelation, bursting with flavor and creativity. What truly sets Virraaj apart, however, is the impeccable service. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about providing an exceptional dining experience. From the moment we were seated to the final goodbye, we felt welcomed and cared for every step of the way.The ambiance at Virraaj is also worth noting. The restaurant's elegant decor and inviting atmosphere create the perfect setting for any occasion, whether it's a romantic dinner for two or a celebratory gathering with friends and family. It's clear that the team behind this establishment is committed to excellence in every aspect, from the cuisine to the service to the ambiance. If you're looking for a truly unforgettable dining experience, look no further that Virraaj. It's a five-star experience all around.“
“Outstanding. Great attention to detail in decor, cutlery, and fine dining. Not a stain on knives, plates and glasses. Super nice staff who go out of their way to make u comfortable. We ordered Malabari chicken. And it did not disappoint. Creamy and spicy. Thank u, we will return“
“The Tandoori Chicken at Mumbai Darbar is a true culinary gem! The chicken is juicy and flavorful, with just the right amount of char from the tandoor. It's served with fresh mint chutney and onions, adding a refreshing contrast to the bold flavors. Definitely one of the best I've ever tasted!“
“We had a wonderful dinner tonight! The Chicken Tikka Masala Pizza was absolutely delicious. We also ordered the Butter Chicken and it did not disappoint. Loved the cozy atmosphere and the service was great! We will be going back for sure!“
“This place is an awesome place. But I noticed one thing about one of the Indian customer that they are being so rude about the service. Customer service was awesome. But the lady was rude. It’s my personal opinion about not being so rude with them. You don’t know how people eating in Gaza. Allah can take you same position within a short time period that you can’t imagine. Please be honest about your reviews.“
“Enjoyed RASA opening day in Crystal City, Arlington, National Landing location. Many dining options with classic bowls and DIY selections. Food is superb and inexpensive, staff is fast, efficient and friendly. Start off with cocktails, blended with masala, cardamom, tamarind. Try the masala chai soft serve. Look forward to return visits, best wishes for continued success.“
“Exquisite food . I tried goat karahi and chicken rolla masla and they were really really awesome !!! Gajar ka halwa was really really delicious!!! And the manager Haseeb the owner of the restaurant served us the whole time and we didn’t know that. That is so humble and professional on his part !!! Would really recommend everyone to eat here!!!“
“I ordered delivery and we were pleasantly surprised at the large portions. I ordered pakoras, a curry and the aloo gobi. My husband and I could only eat half of it, so we will have another meal out of it. The pakoras were really hot even though I ordered mild, and vice versa for the chicken curry, but it was so good, I'm still giving them five stars.“
“DON’T GET THE HONEY SHRIMP.We considered leaving after being served four small, tail-on shrimp that were shamefully overcooked for $10.Very glad we stayed and enjoyed the non-veg thali. The selection was fun, the food was delicious; and we were very satisfied with it. Service was extremely slow, but our server did apologize. We’re definitely going to try it again.“
“Easily one of the top Indian restaurants in the DMV region. Easy to find the place. There’s paid street parking, a free parking lot behind the restaurant. They do accommodate walk-ins but the wait times can sometimes be more than expected. Seating is limited and it gets busy during dinner time. Bar seating available.Ambiance is okay, atmosphere is slightly noisy and music is acceptable. But you can easily have conversations in the loudest setting. Staff and service is good. Really efficient and knowledgeable.Everything on the menu is worth a shot. My favorites are - Chicken chili, Paneer chili, Schezwan chicken, Chole Bhature, Hakka noodles, chicken biryani, rajasthani Laal maas, Kashmiri goat curry. There are regular desert options, nothing that will wow you but is of really good quality. Not a fan of their butter chicken and Naan. Chat items have room for improvement. You can place order online through gruhub, Uber eats, DoorDash, etc. There isn’t a price difference between ordering on these apps and their restaurant menu which makes me believe they have marked up the cost to accommodate additional platform surcharges. Other places will have discounted restaurant rates.Good place for family and friends get-together. Will definitely recommend and return for more.“
“Whilst I was on a trip to the area I stumbled upon Masala Express. In search for gluten free and vegan friendly options I decided to give it a try. I ordered the Aloo Gobi which comes with a large side of rice. This was truly the best Indian food I have ever had. The service was phenomenal. The waiters as well as the owners were very kind and appreciative of the tip I left at the end of my meal. Masala Express is a fairly small restaurant with only two tables, so if you have a large party I recommend taking out your order. Overall, Masala Express is an amazing place to spend your evening when visiting Arlington, VA.“
“They do a great job of reflecting India's regional cuisines in authentic flavors. The service is excellent, and the desserts are delicious. For mains, loved the Coorgi Murg, the Chicken Malai, and the Fish Vendiam. For dessert, loved the Mango Shreekhand and the Kesari Rasmalai. Looking forward to trying the new mains and desserts on the menu!“
“Went here for the first time and was pretty impressed. The tandoori chicken and biryani were both some of the best I've ever tasted! The environment was nice and the design was fitting of the quality of food, though the lack of windows felt a bit claustrophobic. Everyone there was very nice and helpful! The only real negative was that it took nearly an hour for the food to arrive. They weren't especially busy, but it was pretty early (around 4:30) so that could be why. Still, I wish they would have at least brought out bread as we waited, since my whole party was very hungry. Don't take that as a reason not to come here, though. The food was well worth the wait! The bread assortment was fresh, well portioned and tasted amazing. The mango lassi was probably the best I've had... definitely the best in the area. I'll definitely be returning and if you're craving authentic Indian food, you should try Saffron!“
“I discovered BC by the recommendation of my late spouse. This place has been my go to for quick Indian restaurant. Generous portions, the dishes are very tasty, the staff are very hospitable and friendly. You can't beat the price. Highly highly “
“Awesome food and great service. It took a while for us to get the food but the chef did an amazing job. Very fresh chili garlic naan and the lamb vindaloo was sweet and savory without being too spicy. The chef even personally packed our leftovers for us in those takeout boxes. On the menu, they have many vegetarian and vegan options too.Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian options on the menuParking: Free parking lot and there's parking enforcement (toll truck would come around and ask for people's cars)“
“In a quaint town, a hidden gem does rest,An authentic Nepalese culinary quest.Terrific flavors, a feast so divine,With prices so low, it feels like a find.Quality so high, yet the cost stays slight,Service prompt and friendly, every bite a delight.Always accommodating, a staff so keen,Guiding new palates to tastes unseen. If Nepalese cuisine is what you seek,This place offers a peak.A journey of flavors, a guide so true,A dining experience that feels brand new.“
“During my trip from NYC to Washington DC, I stumbled upon a fantastic Indian restaurant. I ordered the Gosht Biryani and Lassi, and both were delicious. The prices were reasonable, and the service was quick and friendly. The food was served hot and fresh, making mine meal even more enjoyable. If you're in DC and craving Indian cuisine, this restaurant is a must-visit.“
“One of the tastiest Indian restaurants in the area!!! The owner Bokech (I really hope I spelled his name right if not I am so sorry!) is so kind and really cares about his customers and giving them great food! Every dish I’ve tried here is fantastic and I highly recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for a good late night bite :)“
“Went here for my Valentine's because my boyfriend knew that this was a spot on my list, food and service is amazing. The atmosphere is perfect for a night of romance. My fish was cooked perfectly and the drinks were made well. Would definitely come here again!“
“The menu at Bollywood Bistro is a testament to the rich tapestry of Indian cuisine, offering a wide array of dishes from various regions of the country. Whether you're a fan of fiery curries, aromatic biryanis, or delicate tandoori specialties, there's something to tantalize every palate.“
“This is a really straightforward food stop with very tasty options. We order here for takeout, and it's always been a good experience so far. We have enjoyed the yellow dal, lamb vindaloo, and chicken saag. It is very good and portions are good. Can't ask for more. There is a little bit of parking right in front of the store front, as well, which is convenient.Parking: I think 6-8 parking spots, shared by another restaurant.“
“The best and the most authentic Indian restaurant in the DMV area.I don’t think there’s just one single dish I can recommend - the food their chef cooks is excellence, every item on the menu is amazing and executed to perfection. Food is primarily about taste and ingredients and these people seem to have nailed it for sure! Also the staff is very kind and friendly.“
“On those days that I really don't want to make my own meal and I really don't want to spend a couple of Benjamins at Rasika, this is my go-to Indian carryout. I could live off chickpeas and lentils from here. I'd give it another star if parking weren't so challenging. The grocery store really highlights the fact that I need to up my cooking game.“
“Great portion size, flavorful, and prompt service... what more can one ask for?! We came on a rainy Saturday afternoon and was immediately seated. We had the veggie samosas, which was wayyy bigger than we imagined. These were fried perfectly, with a great amount of moistness right in the middle. We then opted to order the garlic basil naan which was absolutely scrumptious. I could definitely eat an order of this all by my lonesome and still crave more! I then had the chicken tikka masala, which gave me about three normal size servings (in my opinion) and was very appetizing.“
