“We had a pretty big party for the small building on New Year’s Eve, we have gone to big chain restaurants every year on New Year’s Eve for my sisters birthday and it was always terrible service. Everyone’s food would come out cold, they would make portions smaller cause a lot of us order the same, I want to definitely give you guys a HUGGGGE shoutout, everyone was HAPPY everyone’s food was perfect and hot and the server was awesome. She’s always there every time we go and she’s great. We really appreciate you guys making the space for our large group. And as ALWAYS THANK YALL FOR THE AMAZING FOOD! Definition of supporting local. “SO many great flavors to choose from; roasted strawberry will spoil you on regular strawberry ice cream forever! The cannoli ice cream(with mini cannoli shell) was excellent. “We have been here twice now, both times we were passing through on our way home from vacation. Their cheddar bay biscuits are AMAZING. I wish I had ordered extras to take home with me. My husband got the buffalo chik’n sliders from the refrigerated case and said it was SO good. My son got a huge piece of coffee cake and loved it. We also each got cheddar bay biscuit, and I also got a chocolate croissant and an iced chai. Everything was amazing! They also have a mini store front with lots of awesome vegan products. Candy bars, seasonal items, stickers, jewelry and lots more.“

“My friends and I had a fantastic time indulging in multiple rounds of Lemon Drop Martinis, along with delicious appetizers like cornbread and wings, followed by a delightful dinner. Our server was exceptional, making the evening even more special as we celebrated my friend's birthday. To our surprise, they treated my friend to a complimentary glass of Prosecco adorned with a birthday candle. We couldn't resist sharing our entrees, which included smoked brisket meatballs, pan-roasted shrimp, and fried catfish, all of which were incredibly tasty. The portions were generous enough for sharing, and the fried catfish was simply the best we've ever tasted, prompting us to order some to take home. I wholeheartedly recommend this place for a cozy evening with friends or family!“

“First impressions always wins. We were seated immediately. We chose outside seating because 80 degrees in October you have to show out. We were greeted within minutes. Our waitress (Storm) was top tier with energy like that i should have felt some connection(CAT MOM) she was awesome. My cousin always eat here so she ordered her regular (General tso cauliflower) which were bomb. I ordered the (Bread service) appetizer & baby .... The bread , the butter , the oil, & olives pure freshness & delicious. For the entree i went with the Veggie burger which indeed is the kind i prefer (handcrafted with rice & other ingredients) and sweet potato fries which were excellent at taste. My cousin ordered the parmesan truffle fries which were fresh and full of flavor. For my drink we scope over the menu but something about the Orchard Sangria pulled me into the right direction, the cinnamon/ sugar rim combo was exquisite and rich in taste as it clashed with the sangria. Yummy
I am assure I will be returning for the Bread service alone i can eat at least 3 orders it was so good!!“

“We ate at La Grotta for the first time last night. It will be the first of many! The service, food, and ambiance were spectacular. We were a party of 3 and each of us cleaned our plates. Our friend with Celiac could choose from almost the entire menu which is unheard of, especially at an Italian restaurant. Today my husband brought a bagel Sammy home to me from you guys. The sandwich had havarti cheese, which you had let get a little crispy and bubbly and wonderful. I noticed and appreciated it so much. I don't even care if I never happens again. The beautiful instance of it happening once will ensure that I return over and over again, delighted at the possibility of my sandwich having a crispy little cheese edge. “When I moved to Richmond from Charlottesville, I was SO HAPPY to discover a Sticks in Willow Lawn! I loved Sticks in Charlottesville and the one in Willow Lawn is equally excellent. Best. Hummus. EVER“

Please go back to original set up. let us sit where we want. order a beer when we want. If we want full service we will go to the restaurant side. This may work at the other locations, but Richmond isn't Charlottesville. This was our goto brewery, today's has us thinking differently now“

“After this place has been on “RVA Restaurants to Try” list for about 3 years, this was our first time eating at Fat Dragon, but it certainly not be our last! The wonton soup was the best my mother has ever tasted…keep in mind, she’s traveled all over the world. The ginger dressing was so delicious, I asked the server if they sold it in bottles. The garlic chicken and basil beef were both so tender and flavorful, I would highly recommend them both. And last but not least, our server was great! Do not wait to try this place like I did!!!!
