The manager always wearing those raggedy shirts and really making it look like firehouse didn’t care. Today when I came in I was greeted with a “welcome to fire house” for the first time in awhile and it just made me smile. Staff is super friendly and they got my food out in great time. “My friend and I went for lunch today at Lulabelles, the food was delicious. We had a $20 gift certificate to put towards a $36 bill and gave our server a $20 tip which seemed to be quite generous. Barely offend you that she whisked what was left on our table away, then returned a couple of minutes later to rather abruptly tell us that they had reservations coming in on the next half hour, the implication being that we had best get out of there. I have worked with the public all of my life, and I know there is a way to communicate, she needs to learn it. I only wish we had our $20 back!“

There's outside seating and parking in the back. It's all kind of close though, so it might not be accessible to all. The restrooms definitely are not.“

“My favorite bahn mi in RVA! $5 is a very fair price for a good sandwich. I’ve seen plenty of places sell “gourmet” bahn mi for $12-15, and they’re no better than the simple delicious sandwich you’ll find here. “poor customer service. unclean. multiple people working at least 5. no one can clean or wipe the drink station or the soda machine. Hardly anyone dining in. No one in line. yet im refused the deal i drove all the way there for just to be told " No". The policy's in place just to use a deal are for buffet restaurants because there u cannot take food to go. But, when did Firehouse subs turn into a buffet? because i cant take any of my food home? To demand someone to eat their food in house for a sandwich is absolutely insane. maybe the staff does this for kicks when they are bored.
