“In my solo travels I passed The Great Machipongo Clam Shack. It looked really cute and I remembered my son and his dad mentioned they went there and said they loved it. So I decided to stop. As soon as I entered I loved the vibe. Behind the counter, there was a bumper sticker that said practice forgiveness. They had pictures of the Dalai Lama on the wall. They had peace, love, and clams painted on another wall along with Imagine. The staff was kind and attentive and made me immediately feel at home. I chatted with one of the employees named Lisa and appreciated the “love is the answer” bumper sticker she gave me as I left and will proudly display it on my car along with my other “hippie” bumper stickers. As I sat waiting for my food I enjoyed listening to music from the 60s and 70s. My food was brought to me by a woman that greeted me with a big smile. I was checked on a few times by the various friendly employees. If you are in the area I highly recommend stopping by this restaurant. The food was great and I left feeling I had a wonderful experience.”

“Great breakfast in the Eastern Shore. The price quality ratio is impressive. Coffee is good, but I recommend getting straight up americano, poured coffee or espresso, not lattes not cappuccinos.”

“Definitely nothing fancy about this vineyard. Driving into you might think the children of the corn will greet you, but keep going and you'll end up at the little building. Mostly an outdoor venue, the room inside is not very big, you may be able have space for 1 small group to do one, but its a no frill indoors. The wine definitely is the reason to come though. My wife generally enjoys them all on her sampler. The staff were very friendly and helpful.”

“Vegan restaurant, bakery, and café in a cute little town off of 13. There was indoor and outdoor seating available. They offered all styles of coffee/drinks, baked goods such as cookies, sticky buns, and breads! As well as a full food menu of made-from-scratch items.

Their food menu was unique and everything we tried was amazing! We had the Feta Moon bagel pizza, The Wrap, the Chesapeake Bay Biscuit, chocolate chip cookies, and drinks. Everything was delicious and uniquely amazing! We loved the bagel pizza dough, biscuit spices and flavor in the wrap.
We visited during a town fall festival, so we couldn’t try the sticky buns… but we’ll definitely return to try more! Highly recommend for anyone.”

“Amanda the manager was wonderful. I have a gluten sensitivity and there’s no where else quick to grab food in the area on a roadtrip. Navigating fast food restaurants with any sort of food sensitivity or allergy is so difficult, but Amanda was really helpful and patient. She even brought the food out to me when it was ready even though it was a to go order. Excellent customer service!”
