“As my friends and family know, I owned a pizza place in a past life that had some pretty great reviews. I’m not a review guy typically, but this pizza was one of the best, if not the best, I’ve EVER had anywhere. 17/10 would recommend and will eat again.“

“The food is amazing at this spot. I had a job down the road from them over 4 weeks and with many options available around the area I found myself eating lunch at Mikes 3 out of the 5 days I work. The subs, wings,pasta dishes, meatballs everything I mean everything was absolutely delicious. The girls who run the store are great people super friendly and even with a packed restaurant they get my food to me in a decent time. As for prices I believe they are more then reasonable and you get your moneys worth.“

“Attended the wine dinner last evening and was underwhelmed. I had called to ask if they would accommodate dietary requests such as vegetarian/pescatarian and was told no however last evening they had several people that they accomadated for dietary requests. It was disappointing to learn that too late. It was a rainy cold evening and the seating for the event was in their inclosed outside seating area. Throughout the evening you got burst of cold air in spite of the heaters it was cold. Going into the colder months I definitely would not attend if they don’t change the location of the dinner in their restaurant. The food and wine were good but nothing overly impressive. The last wine was Federalist which is a very inexpensive everyday wine that you can get at total wine for under $20. I guess I was expecting more from the wine dinner which is why I say I was underwhelmed.“

“This place is fairly new, located in the heart of Ocean View. It can easily be accessed by bike, walk, or by driving. The staff is super nice and welcoming. The pizza is delicious! We ordered a large pepperoni abd cheese and had only a few slices left. You will not be disappointed.“

“I had just had a horrible experience with the customer service with the dominos next door with them not even delivering my pizza.
The stark difference as soon as I called and a friendly gentleman took my order and delivered it was a complete 180!

“While visiting Virginia Beach for my birthday celebration, we ate at MOD pizza near Sleep Inn Lake Wright hotel. The customer service was excellent. The manager Emari was friendly and attentive to all her customers. The pizza was delicious and created by Azaria as we placed our orders to design our own pizza. You should definitely visit location if you are in the area...you won't be disappointed 👍“

“Wow I was sitting here in Ghana Africa and a thaught came to me. I asked my wife what was the name of that sub place we use to always order from when I was stationed in Norfolk. I was stationed at NOB on the USS Iwo Jima in 1992 until decommissioned in 1993 then to the USS WASP 93 to 96. We used to always order from Cals Pizza and subs. I used to get the cheese steak sub and suicide wings. This place was the best. Good to see they are still in business serving Virginia and the Navy. It brings back good memories for me as a young kid in the Navy.“

“The lunch box special is amazing. Two slices of spicy or regular pepperoni AND garlic knots.
Not a thing crust and not a deep dish pizza. Just a perfect crispy bottom crust pizza for a working man.
Portions were what a blue collar man needs for his lunch break.
I recommend this pizza for your family or just those 420 days.“

“Ordering was super easy on Calz website, delivery was super fast, food was hot and fresh upon arrival. One item was missing but had a pretty big order but a simple call to the store and the item was delivered within 15mins. Great customer service from phone to door. Great job!! Will continue to support this locally owned and operated pizzeria.“

“It’s a dive bar. I LOVE a good dive bar. A 5 star dive bar would be weird, so 4 stars haha. Pool tables, cheap drinks, random music, smoking inside (I didn’t even know this existed in America anymore, but who doesn’t love to smoke a drunk cigarette every now and then), outside patio with fans. Didn’t try the food. It’s probably not very good, but probably amazing when you’re drunk and need something to soak up the booze. Went in on a weeknight because it’s within walking distance and I wanted to scope it out because we just moved in. Bartender was friendly, got us drinks quick. Definitely will be back!“

Would definitely recommend if you find yourselves in Norfolk and want the perfect slice of NY pizza to satisfy your tastes. The pizza I ordered was 1 slice of four cheese and 1 slice of pepperoni, both were very tasty and hot. The cheese was melty, the slices are enormous like NY pizza should be, the pepperoni was crispy, and the cheese on both pizzas were delicious. Taste of the pizzas are not too sweet either, but they’re the perfect amount savory!“

“Stopped in tonight around 7:30. There were about 12 tables occupied. We waited about 5 minutes for someone to come over to seat us. And that basically set the pace for the rest of the experience… server was very nice but the service was extremely slow. Drinks took about 10 minutes, bread and salad took about 20. Dinner was served quickly after we got our salad. To-go boxes took awhile too. We were never asked if we wanted more wine. Like I said server was very nice but I feel like she had a lot more going on than taking care of her tables. The food on the other hand was absolutely amazing. We will be back again just because of the food!“
