“Its been years since i ate here, and i didnt like it at the time, so when a Friend of mines suggested i was like naa im good, but he talked me into it.... Glad i went, and went back again today hahaha. The ladies in there are doin a great job. its been remodeled since i was last there, looks real nice with that back area opened up selling wines pasta etc. i brought some hotsauce while i was there. the first day i got the Gyro its was hot fresh and good, not typical one im used too but u enjoyed it, and today i went back for the philly cheese steak, it was well seasoned nice and toasted melted cheese onions peppers you get the picture. This place will be added to my regular lunch spots“

“I I have been going since the late 60's with my dad. I have always thought they have the best pizza til recently. My husband and I made our regular trip and ordered out favorite Orapax special, and didn't finish but a slice.....just not the same, not good. Hearing the same from many others. FIX IT“

“1st time ever eating here, and I gotta say I was pleasantly surprised. What's better than pizza? Pizza, you have control over lol it's literally like Subway but for Pizza. My wife and I stopped here one day for lunch, and we figured we'd try something different. Staff was friendly and helpful. We ordered to personal pizzas made how we like and loved it. Surprisingly the crust is great as well as the toppings. We can't wait until we go back. Highly reccomended.
Stopped again today (10/17/24) Same good pizza and service.

“Its a little loud for me personally, but the food and staff are incredible! 10/10 service!

Dietary restrictions: I have Celiac, first time I went, pizza was amazing didn't get glutened. Second time amazing experience but unfortunately got glutened, waitress did warn before hand they couldn't guarantee gluten contamination so it was on me for taking the risk ?. So far 50/50 on getting glutened however it's one of the best gluten-free pizzas I've had.“

“I've been ordering Salz Pizza for all over 10 years. I can't remember who recommended their pizza but I can tell you why I'm a repeat customer. Great pizza everytime. Other menu items I've ordered and loved were the salad, zeppoli,boneless and bone in wings. Be sure to give them a try if you're in the area!“

But I recently moved back and decided to try Cal’z and see if they were still as delicious and amazing as they were before, and fortunately, they did not disappoint! The food was great, and I must say the service that Jade, the girl at the front counter, gave me was above and beyond! She was so nice, friendly, professional, and she even helped me have a wonderful experience back after all these years! Excellent work Jade, and excellent job to the other two employees whose names I didn’t get who were also working hard!

“I come here about 3 times a week lately. They're open late, which is great for me since I work till 11pm, and I've never had anything from here I didn't like. On top of that, every time I order, my food is ready in 10 minutes or less.“

“Wow I was sitting here in Ghana Africa and a thaught came to me. I asked my wife what was the name of that sub place we use to always order from when I was stationed in Norfolk. I was stationed at NOB on the USS Iwo Jima in 1992 until decommissioned in 1993 then to the USS WASP 93 to 96. We used to always order from Cals Pizza and subs. I used to get the cheese steak sub and suicide wings. This place was the best. Good to see they are still in business serving Virginia and the Navy. It brings back good memories for me as a young kid in the Navy.“

“Great pizza, great beer. Cogan's has been around foooooorever. It's a classic Ghent eatery with great beer, pool and music. Try the spicy sauce, it's my favorite. There's outside covered seating by the sidewalk, too. Also consider their larger location on Cooley Ave near ODU.“

I ordered something from On Ice beside them for a late pick-up, and the two businesses coordinated so I could get something from On Ice after they’d closed, I’d just need to pick it up from Little Caesars. “Stopped in tonight around 7:30. There were about 12 tables occupied. We waited about 5 minutes for someone to come over to seat us. And that basically set the pace for the rest of the experience… server was very nice but the service was extremely slow. Drinks took about 10 minutes, bread and salad took about 20. Dinner was served quickly after we got our salad. To-go boxes took awhile too. We were never asked if we wanted more wine. Like I said server was very nice but I feel like she had a lot more going on than taking care of her tables. The food on the other hand was absolutely amazing. We will be back again just because of the food!“

Would definitely recommend if you find yourselves in Norfolk and want the perfect slice of NY pizza to satisfy your tastes. The pizza I ordered was 1 slice of four cheese and 1 slice of pepperoni, both were very tasty and hot. The cheese was melty, the slices are enormous like NY pizza should be, the pepperoni was crispy, and the cheese on both pizzas were delicious. Taste of the pizzas are not too sweet either, but they’re the perfect amount savory!“
