It was my first time visiting your establishment and my first impression was the waitress Tabbi Englehart greeting me at the table, she had a smile and was very helpful and offered suggestions we should try. Service and timing were absolute perfect. Food was amazing as well. Pretty much they treat you like kings and queens. 100% would return. I would give this restaurant 10 stars if I could.“

“I ate here with a good friend of mine and the atmosphere was very nice, we got a wonderful booth next to the window and they work on a reservation system so heads up on that! The food overall was pretty good, my friend is a big fan of their broccoli but for me nothing stood out to me. Its a very Richmond hipster restaurant with taking elements from different cultures but with their own twist. The dessert however was great and the staff is wonderful so it makes me sad to see disrespectful costumers.“

Menu was a bit confusing in the sense that you weren't sure how to pair things up (i.e. you want more than fondue but then other choices might be cheese-heavy too) Also, some of the items listed as "small plates" are things that are usually quite heavy or filling like rissotto or tartiflette, so you aaren't sure if they're "small" and how to pair them up“
“Quaint spot with a huge vibe!!!! Make your reservations early! My friend and I are black women entrepreneurs, so we loved supporting another Black woman owned establishment!! The food, drinks, and service were fire! Our reservations were at 530pm and we pretty much stayed until closing! I need the DJ's Playlist for real. “Patrick's is a longstanding pillar of Southside, a smoky dive bar atmosphere packed with heart and soul. We tried three flavors of wings and all thought the gochujang was the most outstanding. The pinto beans, pickles, slaw, and chicken quesadilla were all flavorful and solid. “I thought I was going to have a unique review of this place because I attended a wedding reception here but it seems all the other reviewers have similar reviews. So because I was here for a reception, I can’t speak on any normal day to day but I’ll write about what I can. This is a really neat place in a popular nightlife area location next to a train station. The elevated train passes through every now and then and can be noisy but is still neat to watch. The building is beautiful. It was an interesting set up for a reception in that people were kind of spread out but it was still a good experience. Whenever you go, regardless of time of year, I would recommend eating outside. The food was excellent. The drinks were good as was the service. This was definitely a cool place.“

We fit nicely into a corner booth. The food was SO GOOD. It took an appropriate amount of time for what it was - made-to-order burgers, salads, and sandwiches. My dad said it was the best burger he’d ever had. I had the cowboy sandwich, one of the specials, and it was incredibly delicious. I would love to go back for brunch.“

“Such a fun atmosphere but it's awkward. The beer place sharing the lot and a wall with the vodka place doesn't allow a mix of beverages on each of their properties. I get it, it's the liquor license. We found a wall shared by both properties. Beer on one side of the wall, vodka on the other. And, yes. We were told we couldn't sit together. Awkward. Ok if your companions agree to one type of alcahol. Know this before you arrive. Awkward.“
“I've been here two times and both were really fun. The bartender and other staff are friendly, funny, and helpful. On New Years they gave out complimentary champagne at midnight. The drinks are cheaper than most places. The pool table is coin operated and they have darts. The food is what you would expect from a dive bar and is extremely affordable. “Had a great evening at The Taphouse. The beer selection was great with lots of local brews to choose from. We had the Sloggy Pants juicy IPA, the barrel aged cream ale and the Belgian Strong ale. All were good. For our meals we had the fish n chips, Mississippi roast panini and the old bay wings. All were good. The panini should have more meat in it to make it amazing. The service was great. Jess was bartending and waiting tables. She did an amazing job and was very personable. All together a relaxed chill vibe with good food and good beer. We were traveling through from DC back to Louisiana. Will definitely look to come back when passing through.“
“I really enjoyed my visit here today! This was my third time here! My server Kei was great and showed me great customer service. I had just got my mixed drank and was moving a chair for another guest and knock my cup over and broke it. Kei and her bartender had me another drink within 5 minutes and assisted me with cleaning. My onlyIssue today would be the bathroom. Right now it’s unisex and when I went in, it was piled up with toliet paper, but clean. I’m glad I walked in before all those women so they didn’t have to see that, but I touched it up (the OCD in me). All seriousness, with a place last this and the business you guys get, you definitely wsnt to get that other bathroom back in working order. I have appointments every 3 weeks for a while and will be coming by every single visit! Thanks again for everything today!!!Parking: So you have to know the area to understand the parking. “I was here visiting from Colorado and my son told me about this bar. Being a huge Rob Zombie fan, as soon as my son mentioned Captain Spaulding, I had to see this place. I LOVE this bar!! Met the owner briefly, and he was a super nice guy. I told him I was here from Colorado, but he had already figured I was from out of town. Guess walking around the whole place running live videos was a dead giveaway, LOL. Anyway, if you enjoy local bars with good music and great people, make sure to stop here when in Richmond. “Arrived at about 5:30 so I was able to park in front of the restaurant. The wife and I ordered the fried chicken wings with the sweet teriyaki sauce they were very good but my wife wish they would have had six flats and six wings. We also ordered shrimp and grits. That entree was creamy and a little bit of heat spice on the shrimp. And if you want to good stiff drink I recommend the wrecking ball. Our waitress was very helpful and charming, as was the bartender. The music in the venue kept you moving in your seat and it was audible but not overbearing. Overall, a very good experience.“

The chorizo dip stood out most to me as it included lots of chorizo, Pico de Gallo, and cheese. Very different and welcome take on that. Also had the chorizo and potato enchiladas. “The food was great. We ate the spring rolls appetizer and ribs entree. The bowl of rice was insufficient for the amount of meat. The five spice ribs tasted great and I think more veggies would have made for a filling meal. The hostess warned us about the slanted table, but at check out, my water glass fell off and cracked on the floor. It is upsetting to know that the elderly around us or our child could get seriously hurt if a glass falls off at the wrong moment. Please, manager or owner reading this, replace the table or fix it for the sake of guest safety. We really hope you toss it because it’s necessary and beneficial. Thank you.“
“The Hive is definitely a gem in RVA and their staff are down to earth. I had the shrimp burger w/fries (natural fresh cut) which were so delicious ?... I tried the lamb chops, Mac and cheese, and asparagus and I really enjoyed that meal as well. Bartender did her thing on the drinks!! In summary, the food, drinks, and vibes were excellent. It will definitely be my new spot!!“
