“Stepping into the Tous Les Jours tucked away inside the Lotte Plaza Market is usually a peaceful little trip. You grab some light, fluffy French-Korean pastries, maybe an Ube latte, and enjoy the clean storefront. But my last mission there was for a somber occasion: a funeral.

The staff was incredibly helpful, and while I was waiting, there was a nice kid sitting right there doing intensive accounting work in the corner of the shop, crunching numbers like a little Wall Street prodigy amid the smell of fresh taro bread.

Then I got the cake. Let me tell you, that cake was an absolute masterpiece—light cream, perfectly balanced fruit, the kind of dessert that makes you forget your own name. That was the fatal flaw. We took it back to the gathering, sliced it open, and a family debate instantly erupted over who deserved the last piece of strawberry-infused perfection. One thing led to another, words were exchanged, and a full-blown physical altercation broke out right next to the floral arrangements. Brawling over a grocery store bakery sponge cake is definitely a new low for our family tree, but honestly? It is hard to stay mad when the pastry game is that elite.

She is, without a doubt, the best barista I have ever spoken to. She isn't just a good worker; she is a genuinely kind and magnetic person. We had a fantastic conversation at the window she was super friendly, authentic, and so easy to talk to. I love getting to know the staff when I get my drink, but chatting with Mari was a standout experience that I haven't had before. She is a gem of a person and a huge asset to this Starbucks team!“

“The coffee and food are great here! I have yet to have something I didn’t like. The atmosphere is also great, with a good balance of noise where you can still talk comfortably but it isn’t too loud to work in. The major downside is the terrible Wi-Fi. It never works and service isn’t always good enough inside to rely on a hotspot. With Wi-Fi and outlets being offered, it seems that this place would be great for remote work, but it ends up being quite frustrating.“

Everything tastes fresh and not rushed or overly sugary like a lot of other coffee shops. They don’t have massive chain style menu, it’s more curated a quality focused.

Their specialty lattes and nitro cold brew stand out, and I love that they rotate seasonal options. My favorite coffees so far have been Honey Cardemom latte, Banana latte, and tiramisu latte.

Overall, if you’re someone who actually appreciates good coffee (not just caffeine), Loud’n Roasted is definitely worth the stop.“

“Stopped by Pitango Gelato at Reston Town Center. The gelato is pretty decent, and the strawberry flavor was actually quite good. The atmosphere inside is nice, quiet, clean, and well-organized. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but overall it’s a solid spot if you're looking for a chill place to grab a quick treat.“

“This coffee shop is really unique in DMV. I have had Chai Teas but never heard of Cardamom Coffee. You can get it here under the name Mufawaar Coffee. It's brewed in big kettles that they will just pour over after you order. There are so many other coffee types I have to come back for.

The honeycomb dessert is a must try. There's cheese inside and honey drizzle on top. It's really a new taste for me and I loved it.

The staff was very friendly. They are not all from Yemen though. I don't know why I assumed so lol There's plenty of parking space.

The set up is also very nice for friends to hangout and talk. You can also go upstairs to work with a bit more peace. It's a good cafe I'd come back for!“

“Best espresso in Fairfax county period. Food quality is excellent and the service is great too. Some of the furniture feels a bit cheap, they use those millennial metal chairs you get at a brewery or an axe throwing place or those $30 burger places which feels very 2014 and out of place. When the furniture is eventually updated to match Reston's broader MCM style it will be the perfect coffee shop. Reston needs more places like this!“

Staff seemed genuinely attentive to customers instead of just rushing orders out. Definitely somewhere I’d choose again for casual meetups.“

After living in three states and metro areas the last few years, I can easily say that Weird Bros is spectacular and incomparable. And they are active in the community. And the owner likes Pantera. “Oh my gosh! I love this place! We were visiting from Texas and this was our everyday morning stop (and it may or may not have been an evening snack or two also ). All the different pastries were awesome (my son had a mango cream bun every time). You HAVE to try the Tiramisu latte. Oh! Oh! And the Black Forest Cake was the friggin bomb! More than how great the food was, the ownership and staff were spectacular! We felt like we were popping in and seeing old friends. If I am ever anywhere near here, I will definitely come by for more delicious treats!! If you live nearby, support this locally owned shop. They deserve all the success possible.“

I liked the convenience of going through the Starbucks drive thru but was disappointed when the same drink order tasted different each time.
