“Deeply flavorful food! The salsa and chips, alone, are fantastic. I had the Birria Tacos. The meat was so tender and delicious, the dip for them was amazing, like nothing I've eaten before. Also, the Salvadoran tamales, served with a unique slaw, were something special. I went early on a Monday afternoon and it was just a perfect experience.“

“Finally visited Sal's for the first time. They had a few large parties but the servers and food still came quickly and was delicious. We had to order some more food for a picky child almost all the way through the meal and it came super fast without any complaints. There seemed to be a lot of repeat business, with customers knowing everyone's names and it was a very pleasant atmosphere with everyone being happy sounding which was a very pleasant way to spend a lunch! We are already planning to go back soon.“

“Have to love a hometown cafe that gets the coffee and the biscuits done right! The location is small, friendly and old fashion. I had the bacon, egg, and cheese biscuits ... great value at two for under $7. I had to break off a piece of the biscuit first to see what I was in for .. soft inside, good texture outside, butter flavor with a hint of salt. Yep .. this breakfast was not going to disappoint. I have to add that the bacon was thick and cooked perfectly as the fat was crispy and flavorful but not burnt. The coffee was strong and not bitter. The service was friendly and fast. You can tell the locals frequent this place from the conversations the staff has with the customers.“

“Very good lunch specials and food at Sal's. The 2 big slices of pizza with my choice of two toppings was very filling. My partner got a calzone which is enough for two. While on a strip mall, the interior looks very Italian and more than expected. Service was very good too.“

“Returned to my old stomping grounds, Radford University, for an impromptu visit. Had to stop in for lunch at BT's, which has been a staple of the community for decades. Food was great, Service was Great, and the atmosphere was great as it always has been. Highly recommend!“

“By far the best Chinese food I've had in years. Lin House is always my go to Chinese Restaurant, but my meal tonight was the best! I had the Garlic Chicken (no peppers, no corns) and Pork Fried Rice, no pork. The Garlic Chicken was delicious and just spicy enough and the fried rice was full of onions, peas and carrots. The staff are always pleasant and make sure to get my order correct every time. A++ Restaurant“

“Sharky’s in Radford was recommended by a friend, so we gave it a try. We arrived around 4pm, so only a few customers were in. We ordered from the lunch menu, which had surprisingly reasonable prices. The photos show most of what we ordered except the Ahi tuna salad was ordered with the chili option. The cup of chili was exceptional and had just a perfect tinge of heat. The Ahi tuna salad with the ginger scallion dressing was just as delicious. A beer from a local brewery was ordered with this meal. The Chipotle Chicken Philly sub was very good and was served with unseasoned waffle fries, which were fresh and had lots of potato flavor.Service was spot on, with constant refresh of water and tea.Total bill without tip was $30, including the entrees, side dishes, and beer. We will return to Sharky’s even though it is 45 minutes away.Don’t let the unassuming storefront mislead you… there’s a lot of good inside.“

“I haven't been here before, but had heard a lot about it. I was not disappointed at all. The food is very fair priced and you get a large portion. It was made fresh and didn't take long at all. This will definitely be on my rotation for meals.“

“This is a local mom and pop shop that just hits the homey feeling spot! Went with a group of about 10 on a Saturday around 5:00 pm and were served rather quickly! Also, we were checked on multiple times to ensure we were having a good time and enjoyed the food. A friend and I shared the: Panag curry w/chicken: 10/10 would get again Spicy pork bowl w/ a jalepeno cilantro cream: 10/10 would get again Thai Tea was also solid With tip, 2 bowls, and drinks with plenty to go were under $40 They also have Pad Thai Fridays, a rotating menu, and something for everyone(including vegetarians) Don't let it being connected to a gas station fool you, it is 1000% worth going and Brian the owner is literally the sweetest and most hospitable person I have ever met! 11/10 will be back again!“
