“We stayed across the street for three nights while in town for a wedding, and we ate breakfast here every morning of the stay. I am from North Dakota, so the fast pace of ordering was new to me, but it added to the experience.

The prices are very reasonable, and I appreciated being able to get a cup of black coffee for a couple bucks. In addition to the great bagel options, they also have fresh fruit.

Seeing the workers operate as efficiently as they did was impressive. They are all very hard working, and I will be back the next time I visit DC.“

“I have been coming to Brooklyn Bagel weekly for over a decade. They have hands down the best bagels in the region, and also the best employees (I call them my bagel heroes)! Even with the recent growth of other bagel spots in the region, Brooklyn Bagel remains the best. Absolutely worth the trip! “We came for a weekday brunch. We ordered a breakfast sandwich and a spinach omelet. The delicious sandwich was on a beautiful grilled bagel, and the egg portion was generous as was the cheese. The omelet was stuffed full of saites spinach, mushrooms, sausage and cheese. It was served with homemade potatoes and toast. We finished the meal with a generous fruit cup that was also delicious. The only thing that would have made it better was eating on a real plate and not paper. However, the food is totally worth making this a regular stop!“

“I got the Hidden Cove for breakfast and it was so good! The staff were all so nice and worked very fast. I placed my order online and it was done 5 minutes later even though the website said 15 minutes. I also got a matcha with almond milk and honey but it tasted somewhat peanut buttery for some reason so I wouldn’t recommend getting almond milk, but the matcha was still good enough. $22 for a bagel and coffee is a lot in my opinion, but I would get the bagel again“

“Best bagels in northern Virginia by far. The smoked salmon, the everything bagels, the vegetarian sandwich are the highlights for me. They’re right on the edge of what I’d be willing to pay for bagels but the quality is very good. The consistency has also improved since they moved from the food truck. Coffee isn’t that great at least for me.“

“We got bagel sandwiches. The service was quick, and they took about 5 minutes to make. They were super messy, but good. There is some seating upstairs and more downstairs but there’s only tables downstairs. Not even napkins which was annoying. The bagel was poorly cut which resulted in half of the bottom bagel being about an inch wide and 1/4 inch thick.“

“TL;DR: solid bagel sandwiches

Finally got to try this place as they continue to expand around the area. We arrived in the late morning/early afternoon and there were still a decent amount of people inside, as well as coming and going. They have seating indoor which is limited, and they have several tables outside.

FOOD:
~Ice americano (3.5/5): solid. On the lighter side for our preference.

~Pastrami Sun City (4.5/5): This sandwich was really good! Complex and non-muddy flavors.

~Jetski (3/5): Personal preference. It had good flavors, but it felt a little one-note for us in terms of texture.

~Pretzel bagel (2.5/5) with garlic and herb cream cheese (4/5): The pretzel bagel was a little too soft/not toasted enough for me. The flavor was okay. The cream cheese was PACKED with flavor though.

Overall, will definitely hit this spot up again.“

“We stumbled upon Baked by Yael when we visited the Old Town Alexandria’s farmers market and David was wonderful and helped us discover their cake pops and that our little guy could eat them! We then had the pleasure of speaking with Yael when we visited the shop in DC. We had a cookie bar, black and white cookie (divine) and more cake pops that our kiddo could have! Finding a place that understands food allergies and has items that we can eat has been amazing! Highly recommend!“

“I'm from Long Island, NY and 100% a bagel snob. I've been to more than a few places here and this place is #1 when it comes to bagels and sandwiches. They used to make egg everything bagels on the daily (my fav) but stopped since I guess not many people bought them, which is the only somewhat negative thing I can say. However, they will make them if you ask for a dozen a day ahead. Either way, their bagels are always fresh and warm and delicious. Their egg sandwiches on bagels are amazing as well! This is the only place that is even slightly comparable to NY and I will stand by that forever!“

“This is my go-to for lunch when I am at the office and I've been going for 5 years. Family run business that makes the best sandwiches in Tysons. It's in the basement of an office building and is a very utilitarian space--you don't come here for the atmosphere. That said, it is always clean and well stocked with non-alcoholic drinks. Breakfast and lunch sandwiches are both great. You can eat there, or grab and take back to your office if you are nearby. My co-workers and I think the prices are on the low side, but that may be the economics of their location. A typical sandwich there is anywhere from $3-$5 cheaper than what you would expect topside in the Boro or Galleria, and the portions are actually bigger.
