“We just had an excellent dinning experience for our family Christmas dinner. Staunton was a greet meeting spot for our family to all gather. It was all perfectly done. Even though we had some guests show up late the staff was super accommodating and attentive. The food was excellent. I had the best short rib dish I have ever had. The salmon was cooked perfectly with a very delightful cream sauce. The mushroom ravioli was also excellent. All portions were generous but also balanced. The service was great all the staff was so pleasant and everyone seems to enjoy what they were doing. The wine was excellent and the bar made excellent classic cocktails including a manhattan. Everyone should try Queen City bistro! I can’t wait to come back!”

“Our first time visiting the depot grille. We loved it. Food was spot on and my wife could not even eat all her meal. We arrived soon as it opened and the staff was smiling and greeted soon as we arrived. We got seated right away we loved the decor. It reminds us of our area in pa of Jim Thorpe. Our service was amazing from our bubbly personality and knowledge was awesome to share things to do. Anna M thank you for all you did and taking the time to talk to us. “I was skeptical, considering this is a seafood restaurant hundreds of miles from the coast. As a homegrown girl from Delmarva, I was pleasantly surprised. Flavors were balanced and not drowning in Old Bay. One of the best crab dips I've had in a while! It was slightly aggravating getting seated, as nothing was announced prior of a big party and no reservations were taken. If we're in the area again, will definitely be stopping again!”

Parking: Lots of parking spaces even though it was crowded.

“Just finished a great lunch here. We settled in outside, Calvin took our order and shortly brought it to the table. A warm summer drizzle added to the ambiance under the wide table umbrella. After the second bite, the torrent hit and Calvin appeared to hustle us and our meals indoors to dryer accomodations. Thank you, Calvin for great service!!! And the chef is appreciated too as the food was first rate.”

“I hadn't had much Salvadoran cuisine before and this was an amazing intro! Everything was very well-prepared and clearly homemade. The pupusas were really flavorful and the horchata was authentic. The waiter was also super polite and friendly and the prices were quite reasonable. Wish it was closer to where I live because I'd go back!”

“10 out of 10 the best pastries!!! Came across this business on FB a few days before a field trip to Staunton, VA for my daughter. Field trip day was Thursday and Giancarlo is only open for retail hours on Friday’s and Saturday’s. I was so bummed, but I sent a message to see if they would let me make a special order for Thursday pick up, and they did!!! We ordered three tarts. A chocolate raspberry, a chocolate espresso and a lemon. AMAZING!!! Giancarlo uses the most delicious chocolate I have ever tasted! And the lemon was the perfect balance of sweet and tangy. This bakery is a MUST visit!”

My husband, who is incredibly picky and hates trying new things loved his Italian sandwich so much he got one to go. Our server was able to suggest a wine that was also delicious. He offered to comp a salad to make up for it, which I gladly accepted since I was starving. Honestly, if he hadn’t mentioned it, I probably wouldn’t have noticed the delay. Highly recommend if you’re in the mood for good pizza and friendly service!”

“My husband and I ate at Hometown tonight. It was like sitting down to dinner at home but better. Comfortable, welcoming, genuinely friendly. We opted for the buffet and were not disappointed. The salad bar was fresh with any option I could think of. The entree meats and vegetables on the buffet were superbly seasoned And HOT. Every dish was as if it had just come off the stove, crispy for the things that should be crispy and likewise creamy where it should. The fried chicken and fish were fantastic. The fruits were sweet and tasty. And the peanut butter pie was piled high with yumminess. The entire staff had a great sense of humor. We left wishing we lived close by so we could come more often. You really don’t want to miss eating at this jewel of a restaurant.”

“My first visit to Marino’s since the renovation! Boy was I surprised! The owners have done a fantastic job with the decor ! The bar area is very inviting and the outdoor seating area is spacious with comfortable chairs and couches . I was there for a Friday night jam session and I wasn’t disappointed. A wonderful feeling to relax to live bluegrass music enjoying Marino’s signature hamburger with sweet potato fries! I also ordered the pimento cheese spread as an appetizer….which was the best! The staff were very personable and made me feel welcomed . I would definitely stop by Marino’s for the food and entertainment .. you will not be disappointed.”

“Stopped here after a good day in Lexington, VA. We were seated promptly and our waitress was very attentive. We ordered the fried plantains, street tacos, Pupusas and finished with an order or churros.

Everything we had was delicious. I would highly recommend the chorizo and cheese Pupusas, as well as the steak street tacos. Be aware the sauces that come with the tacos have some spice to them.

Definitely worth stopping and checking out if you are in the area.”

“Ubon never disappoints ❤️ This is place is one of my favorite restaurants in Staunton and I recommend it to people all the time. The food is absolutely delicious and Ubon, the owner/chef and her husband are so nice. They make my favorite pad thai, I am typically a noodle person but their rice items are good too! We went today for the Thanksgiving Buffet since we celebrated with family on Sunday and it was the BEST turkey I have ever had. Seriously, I will come back every year for as long as I am able so I can keep eating that turkey. I have also recently discovered I am allergic to gluten and this place is very safe to eat at. She said that she makes sure to have as much variety as possible for gluten free customers because they visit just for that reason. Eating here feels like eating at your friend’s family’s house :)

The icing was amazing, the cake tasty and moist, and the mousse filling divine. Everyone at the party complimented me on how good it was. My GF intolerant guests loved the cupcakes. Highly recommend.”

“We ordered 150 mini cupcakes for my MIL's 90th bday party and they were a HIT!!! Everyone raved at the flavor combinations. No one could agree on their favorite: the red velvet, the mint chocolate, the raspberry, the cookies n cream, lemon, and more! What people loved most is that the icing wasn't too sweet so people could try multiple flavors. We picked up friday for a the saturday party and they were fresh and delicious. Highly recommend!”

“I absolutely loved this place! Great selection of original hand crafted brews. You absolutely must have a flight (or share a couple of flights among friends) to experience the variety they have.

The barkeep was friendly and knowledgeable. The warehouse space had a lot of ambiance with hand painted murals on the walls.

I love the area, the history and the museums, but I’ll return just to visit Redbeard Brewing. Loved every single brew I tried. The brew meister(s) are true artisans.”

“To be in the middle of a truck stop, this place is delicious! The food was fresh and delicious. Service was quick and friendly. We had never been there before and the employee answered all our questions without rushing us through. She even cooked the falafel when I ordered it so it would be hot. I tried a variety of things and we loved them all. I highly recommend a falafel bowl with couscous and my husband enjoyed two types of hummus with chicken shawarma and steak. *the harissa sauce IS very spicy, like described. The sit down area needed some attention but we still managed to find a clean table. We will be back.”

“My lifelong friend/sister introduced me to her friend, Sarah, who owns Baja Bean Co. Before getting into the wonderful dining experience that I had at Baja let me just say a few words about this beautiful lady of joy. As she walked towards me, the light and energy around her was so bright I felt that the sun itself was coming to meet me. She greeted me with a warm hug and a smile that lit up the neighborhood! As a soulpreneur/seelsorger I have been with many healing people in many healing spaces and I can promise you that you will have a calming, healing experience in her presence in this space. This seemed to be known by all of the occupants as each person that entered was welcomed unconditionally as family and the atmosphere felt like a loving home. Now to the food...OMG...the food!!! Every single bite was perfection! It is all made from scratch with fresh local ingredients and unique tweaks that cannot be found anywhere else. The flavors are beautifully balanced and decadent. This is not your average Mexican fare. I could eat the homemade guacamole at every meal. I had the falafel tacos...mouthwatering!!! Then...yes...then...even though I was stuffed...I had to try the fish taco...and yes I ate the whole thing because it too delicious! (AND THEY OFFER LIVE MUSIC!!!!) If you are in the Staunton area do not miss a visit to Baja Bean Co and if you are not in the Staunton area....get there! The experience will soothe your soul, calm your spirit, bring joy to your heart and bliss to your belly!”

“Just left Long John Silver’s in Staunton Virginia and it was the best meal I’ve ever had from long John silvers in my life. It was a fish, shrimp chicken, and they had everything right the hush puppies were crispy on the outside, soft in the middle big thick pieces of fish and the breading big fat shrimp it was so good I mean they have their their act together and whoever is working, there really does care about their job because you can taste in the food. Everything was fabulous and people should go check it out because I’ve been going there a long time and this is the best meal I’ve ever had from there”
