The meatball and rice grits (risotto to me) appetizer was perfect. The freshness of the food and sophisticated touches in preparation outshine most places I go to at home, and home is Manhattan so I have lots to compare this to. We LOVED this restaurant.“

Center Street Grill is a hidden gem in Williamsburg that we stumbled on thanks to a post on Neighbor to Neighbor. When I read the post I had to check out and I am so glad my husband and our good friend did. We were not disappointed and ready to go back! We will definitely add Center Street Grill to our go to place for date night and a hang out with friends!! I highly recommend!“

Flank steak was on the menu! My daughter is vegetarian! I quietly inquired of Derrick if a vegetarian plate was possible? As he brought everyone at our table their meat meal, he set a vegetable meal in front of her! She was surprised and delighted! He saved the day!“

For both lunches, I had the Buttered bun Bacon Cheeseburger (medium well) with my choice of Swiss cheese, fries, and drink. I liked it so much that I ordered the same thing the second time. For dinner, the waiter was also friendly and attentive even though he was busy. I had the fish and fries, in which, was super yummy. Also ordered the bacon cheeseburger and fries to go. That way, I'd have it in the room for later. Will have to go back sometime and order both the bacon cheeseburger and fish meals again.

“Yes. They do give you a lot of steak, but the taste is so bland. At least throw some Montreal seasoning on it. Folks think it's good now if you do that it's really gonna do well. I give it a 6.2 out of 10“

“Exceptional dining experience! Historical location, true to history (real candle at the table, pewter cutlery, authentically inspired food). Delicious meal! Presentation by server and roving entertainment put an absolute blue ribbon on the evening!“

“We had a wonderful dining experience from the welcoming greeters at the door to our wonderful server. The food was amazing from pea soup to steak to dessert, and the punch bowl! The Pringle’s ginger beer drink was very good, too. My daughter loved the oysters. It was a wholesome experience with live music and authenticity in the details (even the silverware is made in Williamsburg). It was also a treat to eat somewhere where historical figures dined in colonial times, but also really an art form to serve a menu inspired by recipes from the 1700s (and everything tasted amazing and fresh). The service was pretty impeccable for the whole staff (lots of servers, greeters, and staff).“

He was super sweet and suggested a yummy cheesecake for my birthday desert which was complimentary for my birthday treat from Longhorn!! Service makes or breaks it for me and he won the day with me. He made my visit so pleasant, I felt more than welcome, and the food was DELICIOUS!!! 10/10 I wish service was like that everywhere.
