“This is a great find. Such friendly people, fantastic owner and the food and baked goods are outstanding! We will definitely be back!“
“Do not order their food! Their cider is very good. But the food was absolutely horrible.“
“Very nice place and staff. The view is amazing and the beer is great.“
“Children welcomed INSIDE and cherished here!! We loved this winery! There were 8 adults and our 3 month old grandson. We were welcomed and felt at home. The wine is delicious and the food was yummy! They made us feel like family. We even hung out with Beans the cat. Thanks for a fun relaxing afternoon.“
“We had a great time visiting. Really high-quality and slightly unconventional wines. Very friendly people and a beautiful property. Folks who are really into the mainstream of Virginia wines should do themselves a favor and take a very rewarding step off the beaten path with Arterra.“
“Before my husband passed away, he said he wanted me to throw him a party instead of a memorial. I held a Celebration of Life for him Friday evening (his birthday) in the Bear Cave. I cannot speak highly enough of the venue, staff, food, and drinks. My heartfelt thanks to Leslie and Caroline, and kudos to the caterers.💗“
“A perfect place to have a party! Natalie was a wonderful event planner, our server was amazing (I wish I could recall his name), and the food and beer were delicious! The whole establishment was beautifully decorated for the holidays and there was live music throughout the day and night.“
“Yes we are proud to be in Virginia to be one of the first states in America to introduce the wine to other continent the wine was introduced by the settlers migrants from Europe mostly from France Italy and from Germany Eugenia climate it's good for certain kind of wines because it's colder than California however wines are excellent when it comes to taste asset quality in Virginia near to Washington DC also in the beginning of wine making America New York state was one of the prominent ones in 1917 the wine was introduced to California Napa and Sonoma counties after research any visit to the Virginia winery twin oaks winery in Blue Mount Virginia I'm very impressed with the quality of Virginia wines it should be listed in every upscale restaurant in Washington DC metropolitan area from Northern Virginia restaurants Washington DC and Maryland a big potential I see it's to export to new developing countries would be develop a taste for the good quality Virginia wine blackasia Middle East China and South America“

“Stopped for a treat on Sunday. I got the last egg and cheese on a biscuit and hubby had a tuna salad sandwich and a blueberry muffin. Two coffees, fresh brewed. We sat at a table in the window and enjoyed watching folks come and go, inside and out.“
“Stopped in to preview the venue as I wanted to plan a special experience for the upcoming weekend. I was immediately greeted by Christina with cheerfulness and enthusiasm. She took the time to listen and make wonderful suggestions as she educated me about the property and their offerings.
The grounds and building were beautiful and tidy.
Thank you so much and look forward to recommending this venue to others as well.“
“Sunday, April 22, 2024, my wife and I were entertained at Delaplane Cellars tasting room by our old friends Keith & Viqui Dill AKA the Dill Pickers. We had a fantastic time listening to some great Bluegrass and Blues selections while enjoying several glasses of exquisite wine. We are hoping that they will book the Dill Pickers in the future and give us more than one day's notice so we can invite several friends to their venue. The staff were very courteous and attentive to our needs. As a disabled Vietnam veteran, I sometimes am not the most graceful so when I accidentally knocked over my glass of wine the staff were there instantly to clean up the mess and replace my wine. Our visit was exhilarating and the views were beautiful.“

“This is the best restaurant in the area. Yes they’re fancier places, more expensive places, but this is my favorite. El agave is a very small chain. I love all of the food I’ve ever had here. Each time down you receive salsa and chips, and they are so delicious. The salsa is so fresh, and the chips come out hot and crispy.
Service is always excellent, the food comes out quickly and efficiently. I guess my favorite dish is probably fajitas. I got chicken topped with chorizo last time I was there, it was excellent.
I make it a point to stop here every time I’m in the area !!“
“We recently had our wedding at this beautiful location. We had been here a few times before and loved the beautiful scenery, good food, and good drinks. When we decided to get married within 3 weeks, this was the first location that came to mind. It's about an hour outside of DC, so it was convenient for our guests.
Christina answered the inquiry and immediately got to work. She saw our vision and with such short notice, it was executed perfectly. Christina is kind, professional, and damn good at what she does. From helping decorate the cake, manage the 5year old flower girls, and being a DJ, us and our guests were so impressed! Christina, thank you again for making this so special for us.
The rest of the staff was amazing and kind. The grounds are beautifully maintained. The catering was amazing, and the selection of beer and wine is perfect, as there is something for everyone. Thank you again to this wonderful business. We are so happy to have had our special day close to home so we can visit easily and make more memories.

The restaurant list it closes at 9PM. As a courtesy we called at 820p and said we were arriving in 10 to 15 mins as we spoke with Alley the host. We arrive at 833p. The host Alley proceeds to sit us down to eat. The owner yells that they close the kitchen at 830PM. He doesn't look at us as guest or acknowledge us but instead tells Alley the stop at 830pm. I asked if he was the manager he said he was the owner. It really shows n this situation how the owner handles himself. If you could get a zero star he would get it. With over 500 reviews I rarely give a 1 star but this year it goes to the owner of this restaurant. My fair and honest reviews speak for themselves. As a business owner myself in the service industry as well as I use to own 4 food franchises owners should realize their word and communication is the most valuable asset. If a team if a team memmber promises something then the owner should honor it. He didn't care. 0 Food: 1/5 | Service: 1/5 | Atmosphere: 1/5“

“Top notch! is not the first time I have been to the Gold Cup but every time leaves wanting to come back over and over again. The food is exquisit, the service is an A+ and of course the atmosphere is great. We asked about the kitchen staff because the sushi was so good. Javier Alvarado within the chef team had a hand in it so I needed to congratulate him. And Samuel was a great server, so attentive, fast and courteous. I hope to see them again at the Gold Cup.“

“Charming historic home in beautiful Hunt Country. Couples out for a casual night and expected superb food and service. Service was as expected, polite, pleasant and timely. Malbec was perfect. Foods ordered: Pot Pie, Risotto, Seared Trout and Steak Frites. The pot pie was flavorful but the coconut was unexpected - if the description had included coconut, we would have made another choice. The risootto was an ugly, baby-foodish glob on a plate. No discernable risotto could be found and the sensation in the mouth was as bad as the plate looked. Mushy, unappetizing. The blackened trout was well prepared and flavorful. Steak frites were tasty, but meat not trimmed well and some gristle made pieces unedible. The fries that accompanied were end pieces from potatoes, leftover from mashed potatoe prep? The prices were high, common for this area. Servings were plentiful but the food quality left us with "glad we went but won't go back".“
