“Metroplace Cafe in Vienna is one of those under-the-radar spots that delivers. When I say under-the-radar, I mean it. I have lived in the area and commuted past this office building for 30 years and never knew it had a cafe. If it wasn't for the recommendation of a friend, I still wouldn't know about it.

It’s a no-frills deli that kinda reminds me of a school cafeteria but with a surprisingly wide menu and seriously good prices. They even have some Korean dishes. We tried the reuben, the cheesesteak, and the California chicken panini — all freshly made and really solid. Nothing fancy, just honest, tasty food.

What really sets the place apart is Ben, the owner. He’s incredibly friendly and welcoming, and you can tell he cares about every customer who walks in. He also happens to specialize randomly in espresso drinks that would make James Hoffmann proud. Ben gave us latte, cappuccino, chai, espresso, and I forgot the rest to sample, all good. It’s rare to find that kind of coffee in a casual spot like this.

“Fosters Grille is truly the hidden gem of Vienna. It holds the best atmosphere for sport team parties. It has tasty burgers, chicken sandwiches, and Philly chicken subs. I love this establishment and have been a customer since maybe 2009. The arcade is a great spot for kids and adults who just want to feel nostalgic with a nice claw game to win a prize. I love coming here on my days off and will continue to divulge in the fabulous Monday through Friday specials. The customer service impressed me when I showed up 30 minutes before the opened on accident and they gladly took my order and didn’t bat an eye. Great restaurant!“

“When I first walked in I was greeted by an extremely warm and professional man who I assume was the manager. Good first impression already. The food was brought to me where I sat by an equally kind employee. The burger was fantastic. Easily the best burger I've had in a fast casual setting. The quality of every ingredient and topping stood out as exceptional. The bun was divine. The fries were good, but not the star of the show. I finished my food and the same employee that brought me my food offered to take my tray away and wished me a nice day.
