“I’ve been coming to this location pretty much every weekend for the last 3 years and realized I’ve never actually left a review! They have another location that is bigger than this one, but honestly, this one is the better spot for food, service, and the overall vibe. I actually live closer to the Falls Church location but still make the drive here because the staff are always super friendly and the experience is consistently good. On Fridays and Saturday, it can get a little busy a hectic but the wait usually isn’t too bad, maybe around like 10–15 minutes. My order has always come out right and the food tastes fresh and delicious every time I’ve been here.

The place itself is clean, condiments are always stocked, and there’s a really nice mural on the wall that gives it a cozy feel. Nice music playing most of the time I come and seating is a little tight but it’s comfortable. Every time I come in,I’m greeted right away and the staff have been the same since I first started coming so they know what they’re doing. If there ever is an issue, they’re quick to fix it. If you have any allergies or food restrictions, they are pretty accommodating to requests so that is something to consider.
Overall, this has been one of my go-to spots for Greek food for years! Consistently good food, good prices, and really great service.“

“I grew up in Chicago and frequently visited Greek Town while growing up where I learned to love Greek food and culture. It was amazing!!! Then I left in 1982 only to find that there were no real excellent Greek restaurants in the immediate Herndon area. How disappointing...we even traveled to Greece to get our fix. Then we stumbled into your Sterling, VA restaurant last week. We LOVE your restaurant, staff, and the food is better than anything we have ever had before. We have eaten at your restaurant two times now in a week and carry out tonight and it was always OUTSTANDING! The gyro, chicken souvlaki roasted potatoes, and string beans are the real deal. Can't wait to continue try other items on the menu! Kudos to you all and truly 5 Stars!!!! Keep it up and don't leave.“

“In recent years there seems to be a proliferation of small-plate Mediterranean restaurants. But Yayla remains as one of the best, reasonably priced originals in northern Virginia. There is a pleasing range of mezzes, salads, entrees hot and cold, flat breads, spreads, etc . I had a Yayla mule, 3 spreads, lemony rice soup and superb shrimp. Friends chose a range of other dishes. I can guarantee whatever you choose, you won’t be disappointed. Everything is flavorful, fresh and beautifully presented. “This Greek restaurant in Potomac, MD is a hidden gem. The lobster spaghetti was rich and perfectly balanced, and the dessert—simple, elegant, unforgettable. The menu is carefully curated, and it shows. This is their second restaurant—the first has been around for over 30 years. They know what they’re doing. Small space, so definitely make a reservation—but bar seating is just as good (we sat there and loved it). Carlos the bartender and the whole staff were amazing. We were the only Black/brown folks there, and felt completely welcomed. Don’t miss this spot—real food, real hospitality, real experience.“

Their steak and cheese subs hit the mark, the pizza is solid, and the crab cakes are surprisingly good for a casual grill. “The food here is amazing. I had to check myself a few times because I was sitting there devouring my dinner like an animal, lol. The chicken was crispy outside and juicy inside. The plantains and green beans stood out on their own even without rhe chicken. At any other restaurant, green beans are just a filler side item, but here they are standout delicious. Possibly the best I have ever eaten. They cleaned tables as soon as customers left. Service was great. We were totally impressed with this place. We looked at other places for dinner, and left here convinced that there is no other restaurant within nearby that would have been more satisfying.“
