“My experience at the Cavalier was top-tier. I stayed in a deluxe King room, and it was absolutely gorgeous. The staff is courteous and very helpful. Caroline is an absolute gem! Her sincerity and hospitality is above and beyond what is expected. She went the extra mile to make sure I was taken care of during my 4 day stay. I will most definitely be visiting again soon!“

“Park Lane on Fordham Drive in Virginia Beach is a great place for drinks, dinner, parties, meeting friends. I have been a frequent patron of Park Lane at this location for a very long time and at least twice a week. I spoke with manager Jim this evening and complimented him on the way the restaurant and bar is run. The restaurant is well kept and attended to. The wait staff and bar tenders are super efficient, well versed with knowledge of the product and food there. They are fast and very efficient, and honestly all of them have great work ethic and have a wonderful sense of humor. They make you feel like a part of their family and are very professional. They really get to know you (especially if you’re a regular customer), and that’s why it’s such a pleasure to frequent the restaurant. We laugh and kid around with each other and the atmosphere really is light, lively, fun and all around pleasurable. The kitchen staff prepare and present the dishes with absolute care and appeal…. and the food is delicious! I haven’t been disappointed once! The orders come out of the kitchen with care and they are very prompt. The analogy that I would say about this particular restaurant is that “it’s a well-oiled machine”, as it’s run with precision, it’s very efficient, and everyone works well with each other, and honestly they all seem so happy! It’s a wonderful place and I recommend it very highly. You won’t be disappointed, and I might add that the prices are very reasonable. Thanks to Jim, Justin and all the managers at this location, and a great BIG thank you to the wait staff, bar tenders, cooks, kitchen staff, janitors, clean up crews for an outstanding job well done! You ALL really go above and beyond expectations and other like establishments should take a lesson from you all. “My server Andrew was professional, friendly, helpful, and attentive. The chef salad was just as one would hope. But best of all, for me anyway, was the volume (low enough to enjoy conversation) and genre (classical!) of music. Such a very nice change of pace from country (ugh) or loud sportz on a TV.“

“My friends and I had different plans for the night we went here but on a whim decided to switch it up. Place chosen at random except one friend recommended it. We had a blast! Between the karaoke, meeting other people, fun $5 shots wheel/game, and bartender - I’ve never laughed so much. At first the bartender Johnathan wasn’t sure about us haha but we had fun and tipped him extremely well. He was the best! Next time I’ll still ask for a strawberry marg and hope they have syrups lol. And I never got around to trying the zucchini fries but that sounded so good. Other food was good. Marilyn Monroe bathroom was so cool! Really didn’t have to think much about anything I’ve never laughed so much in one night. Definitely local Virginia Beach vibes. We’ll be back for sure!!

Vegetarian options: Potato wedges, fries, fried pickles, zucchini fries, I can’t remember what else but you won’t starve in a pinch if you’re vegetarian/vegan so no worries!

I was told they are getting ready for the Pole and Floor show competition on Saturday, May 18th. I think that's worth going to just from what I saw. The specials were fantastic and the menu was great for either a late night snack or a quick lunch. The music was good, kept everyone upbeat and the security was visible, but not over imposing, and that made everyone comfortable. Can't wait to go back and drag a few more friends out! A DJ had started on our way out the door, and it was starting to get busy so good for late night also!“

With high cost and decline in portion and quality this place has to be the best place in Hampton roads a locally owned restaurant that gives you what you pay for. I've never had a bad dish here. I can't explain how important it is to be consistent and just plain good. I've eaten a lot of food in the 757. And I always try to eat at local not franchise restaurants. But it is what it is and this place is it.“

“Ok, so I would recommend this restaurant but not on a Saturday night and reservations won't help if they're busy. So here's how it went...we arrived dressed up last night Sat. March 29th at 6:30 for a 6:45 reservation and were told they didn't have any tables and we had to wait. The wait was about 30 minutes and during that time we got a chance to listen to the hostesses talk bad about another employee which was at the least unprofessional when they should have been working considering how busy it was and at the most mean girl behavior. So we get to our table and our server comes over, she doesn't tell us her name and nothing about the specials or the menu and we told her it was our first time so there was no effort to help us understand the menu or upsell anything. Moving on we figure out what we want and proceed to wait a solid 20 min for her to come back with our drinks which each had 7 cubes of ice. I guess they were low on ice because my man's sweet tea was hot tea lol. He ordered the ribeye med rare with bone marrow, broccoli, sauteed onions and mushrooms, a loaded baked potato with extra sour cream and I ordered the prime rib med rare with a loaded baked potato, spinach, and sauteed onions. My man asked for a salad and it took 22 min. At this point I am timing everything because our server is struggling. After that time the bread and salad come but our drinks are almost empty so we decide to just wait to mention it to her when the food comes out. The food did not come for 32 min. Finally, the manager comes over to ask what we ordered so he can go find our food. This is where the lies start. Why did our server come out of the kitchen with towels on the plate saying hot, hot, hot and the food and plates were cold?? Lol. I didn't have my spinach or the extra sour cream we asked for. We had a side bar and decided to just eat because we were hungry and had already waited so long. Side note, I don't think our server is well liked because I noticed the other servers helping each other and managers delivering hot food to tables but no one was helping our server and she was drowning. Not sure about that but that's what I observed and I had plenty of time to pay attention. Ok so we also get our drinks refilled and I eventually get my spinach. The food was good. It was cold but the flavor was good. We ate a little and decided we would take it to go and heat it back up at home. The manager comes back over and asks about our experience and we tell him everything you just read. He was nice and apologetic. He offered a free chocolate cake dessert which we accepted. The 20% gratuity was included in the bill which we are used to and is normally not a problem but we were admittedly disappointed with our experience. The bill was $209 including the $30 gratuity. We paid and made our way out. In the end, whoever our server was, we never found out her name, made $30 for poor service and honestly I think that's why she didn't try harder because the tip was guaranteed but it was our anniversary and my man is a generous tipper and would have happily tipped even more for a good experience because in the end that's all that matters to him. The experience and my happiness. Neither expectation was met. Overall I would recommend this place but go during the week. A little clarity, our server was pretty, very short with an accent, not sure where she's from and dark hair. She may need a little more training or some assistance on busy nights and she could make much more than the 20%.“

My server yesterday EMILY WAS ABSOLUTELY THE BEST I'VE EVER HAD AT A RESTAURANT !! John the bartender on Monday 10/21 and the hostess ( I forgot her name black younger woman with a long weave ) . Were absolutely phenomenal ! They offered great suggestions for food and drinks . I wanted to leave and try another restaurant with would food but, those two customer service made me stay . All 3 are a gem that you don't find anymore in customer service . No matter how great the food maybe at a restaurant customer service is the most important part . They exceeded my expectations ! I went into work and told my coworkers that live in Virginia Beach they must try this place out ! The chicken, mac n cheese , and bisque are by the far the best !! Next time I'm in VA I WILL DEFINITELY GO BACK !!“

“It is now called Double D's on Bonney Road..This place is big so even though some people may smoke in there it is not really noticeable..The wait staff is so friendly Toni is a awesome bartender and the others are great too just did not get their names. The owners are on scene and down to Earth Kelly and Mike..And the atmosphere is light with music always going. This place is super clean from the floors to the bathroom..The food is much better than the average bar food..So if you and friends want a great place to have fun and kick back go to Double D's“
