“First time here. All the staff greeted with a smile and was so nice. We got the Jerk egg rolls, chicken Philly egg rolls and the parmesan chicken eggrolls to eat some there and take with us. I was a little hesitant to get the Parmesan chicken rolls but I have to say they were my favorite. Oh and we got the Mac and cheese stuffed wings and they were delicious as well. “We just had a large birthday party there last night are waitress. Kasey was awesome. There was 20 of us girls and she did not miss a beat. All the food was wonderful. It was my first time there as well as majority of the girls and everything was wonderful from the drinks to the food we will be back.👍“

“High quality dining experience with great food and fantastic service! A very popular spot in VB town center, perfect for small groups. Came on Monday evening and it was full, we had to wait for a table, but could sit at the bar while we waited. Highly recommend Chang's Lettuce wraps appetizer, came with so much extra filling. The entree portions were large, we all had enough leftovers to make another meal. Our server was very kind and even boxed all of our leftovers for us. All in all, for the service, portions and quality of food, and ambience of the restaurant, it's well worth it.“

“We were first time visitors to Park Lane Tavern. Service was truly amazing as the waitress was very informative . I ordered the London Broil with bordlaise sauce. The food was phenomenal. The steak was very tender and juicy. Do not pass on the bread pudding.“

“We generally stay near there and once we found it, and sampled their pancakes, we never quite going back, anything else disappoints us. \nEven when busy, as it was on our most recent visit, we were seated quickly, had our orders taken in a reasonable time and had our food in front of us soon. \nAlways delicious, always courteous, always a pleasure.“

“The food redeemed the initial impression of this place. Five 20-something females were gathered around the hostess stand chatting and finally acknowledged us, only to dismiss us with a proposed 15+minute wait because of "reservations." I defy anyone to find "reservations" on the website, FB, etc. for this restaurant on Pleasure House Road. The unfriendly attitude surprised me as VB is a tourist town and not just down on the strip. Because we had another engagement, we opted for dinner service at the bar; which is a bit too tall for comfort. The bartender was busy and we waited. We were finally able to order and had very good crab cakes and seafood Alfredo (a little watery). The surprise was the succotash ; which I would never ordinarily eat because lima beans are a hard NO. This succotash was made with edamame; very creative and tasty. Throughout the meal we watched several tables remain empty and the group of girls continue to cluster at the hostess stand. Management might want to eliminate some payroll overages. One last thing was a slovenly and surly looking young man with more hair hanging in his face than seemed hygienic; so glad he didn't serve us! As the start to our date night this was not a great success, but we had a good meal. This restaurant is recommended with "reservation".“

“My girlfriend and I went out for some fine dining last night at Terrapin, and it did not disappoint!! Our server Allie was a consummate professional, and the GM/sommelier was very friendly and knowledgeable. It’s a well-known fact that fine dining is not cheap, but not only were the prices not all that bad here, but the food quality was exceptional. They also have a special on Tuesdays: 50% off for service industry workers. I found that awesome, remembering where they started from, and making it available to those individuals. We are planning on making this a monthly thing for us. Shrimp tagliatelle for me, black squid ink linguine for her. Our entrees were chicken piccata for me, and she indulged in the roasted duck. For dessert, she selected a seasonal dessert special called It’s The Great Pumpkin, whereas I kept it simple with an affogato w/ French vanilla bean ice cream. 10/10 - would definitely recommend!!“

She’d been before, last summer, and had been talking for almost that long about the Greek Burger. We made a trip over for dinner on Monday night—and went back for lunch on Tuesday. Everything was good—from the atmosphere and very professional wait staff, to the hummus, stuffed grape leaves (some of the best I’ve ever had) served with real tzatziki, the burgers, the bread, the tabouli salad, the lamb, the beef shwarma wrap…absolutely 4 star experiences! Will definitely see you next summer—several times.“

“Aldo’s is my absolute favorite restaurant! I am a very picky eater. My husband, (boyfriend at the time) , took me to Aldo’s on one of our first dates in 1990. If he was trying to impress me..it worked! Jim, the owner, has been there since the beginning and he is amazing! He has treated us like gold for 34 years now! He has sent wine and dessert over on our anniversary, compliments of the restaurant! He always asks us how everything was and of course, it’s always perfect! I have never had an issue. The atmosphere is incredible, very romantic and relaxing. There is live piano and the wait staff are top notch. Jim only hires the best! They have authentic Italian food that has so much flavor and there is nothing like it! I highly recommend Aldo’s for fine dining and just an overall fabulous experience!“

“We really enjoyed our late breakfast at Another Broken Egg Cafe in Virginia Beach. Our server, Aston, actually seated us and was so friendly and professional. He was an outstanding server answering all of our questions and was very attentive. He suggested a couple of his favorite entrees and we were not disappointed. An unexpected gem after spending a little time at Chick‘s Beach with the family… Was not expecting the excellence we got from the moment we walked in. The staff was quick to greet, and very friendly. The atmosphere was really lovely, nice low, but perfectly sufficient lighting, a lovely patio with hanging lights and the back of the restaurant overlooks the water and a lovely little walking bridge, beautiful stonework bar, with a superb whiskey selection, though I was in the mood for beer last night… Our server, Natalie, was incredibly warm and helpful, offered to let me to taste some of the beer on tap, which led to me purchasing a pint of one of the most deliciously creamy raspberry wheat beers I’ve ever had. She recommended the pizza rustica, and I, as a chef of 13 years, was skeptical that it would be as good as it was, but yet again, perfection. There was literally nothing wrong, I tried a bite of each of my family members’ food as well because I do that... It was all excellent, the “avocado and IPA bacon grilled cheese” my daughter ordered was my second favorite after the pizza. Just a fantastic spot. Worth a trip out to Virginia Beach for dinner from anywhere else in Hampton Rose, even without a prerequisite beach trip.“
