“This is a remarkable spot for your burger and wrap needs. They offer a variety of burgers, wraps, grilled cheese, loaded tots, and a kid's menu. The establishment is cozy, offers a relaxed and welcoming ambiance, the owner and her family are extremely kind. The service is impeccable, food affordable, and professionals all around. The food is freshly prepared, meticulously crafted and delicious. If you have any dietary restrictions, please let them know and they will accommodate your dietary needs and pair you with a burger that's perfect for you. Overall a fantastic experience and we will be back. We will recommend this place to family and friends it is that good. Come, relax and enjoy your time here you will leave full and with a smile. EDIT: On 25 September we came back and tried two of their wraps and let me tell you this was another homerun. Both are big servings and plenty of goodness on each. They paired very well with their local beers and once again we left full and with a smile. One more thing, this is not fast food so be patient with the preparation I assure you it is well worth it.“

“I live in Maine and heard about Southside Steakhouse from a friend. The service was great. Bruce was right on top of everything. The oysters 🦪 were delicious. I had the prime rib and let me tell you it was over the top delicious. I highly recommend it for service, food and drinks 🍹. I was very disappointed in the place allowing men to wear hats. Call me old fashioned but good manners are not that hard. It just looks disrespectful to your place of business. You are a very good restaurant and asking for men to remove their hat is only going to draw people back.“

“While I didn’t eat here, I enjoyed a few beer while watching the World Cup. The bar staff was very pleasant and the service was on point. The beer was a bit expensive, but it was very comparable to other establishments in the Killington area. I spend a few hours here and enjoyed my time. There were mostly locals at the bar when I visited and I could tell they were regulars. They were all greeted by name and the staff knew exactly what they would be wanting. I felt at home here. I highly recommend this bar and restaurant.“

“Every Sunday my partner and I try different diners. We made the hour and 10 minute drive today to try this restaurant. We were greeted immediately. The wait wasn't long. Our waitress was amazing. She answered all questions. She kept the coffee flowing. Food was hot and filling. We had no complaints from beginning to end. We will definitely be returning. Best omelet I have had since moving up to this area.“

“This place has a great atmosphere as well as great tasting food and very pleasant staff. I feel the only thing that would be missing is music. Not too loud but just pop music from the 80s 90s and early 2000s a.k.a. happy music for people or classic rock can’t go wrong with that.“

“We came here in the evening after not preparing adequately to get a reservation for a party of 9…. They were SO accommodating. Sergio, our server, was amazing and super attentive. “Best Grinders in the world, and I’ve been around at 92. Recently changed hands, better telephone service. Lived nearby for 11 years, now many hours away, but worth the trip, especially after a day of traveling home to take a well wrapped large Italian hot grinder out of the cooler and feast. Stays fresh and tasty.“
“Went here for the first time with the young lady I care for. First off, we were we easily able to navigate with a wheelchair which is not always the case! The ice cream is homemade and delicious, can’t wait to try the food. Clean, well run, and everyone there was super nice and helpful.“

“We have dined at Preston's many times since It's right in the hotel where we stay. The food and service are always solid. But this past weekend the restaurant knocked it out of the park with a wine pairing menu which was fantastic. Appetizers were swordfish and tuna. Both great! For the main venison was amazing as well as the duck breast Hopefully they will keep the above items as part of their regular menu“

“The Rustic Rooster is one of those rare Vermont gems you almost don’t want to share because it’s that special. The food is absolutely amazing — consistently fresh, hearty, and full of flavor. But what really sets this place apart are the people. Greg and Donna, the owners, make you feel like family the moment you walk in. Their team is just as wonderful, and I have to give a special shout-out to Tyler (aka Leroy), whose warmth, humor, and service always make the experience even better. If you’re looking for authentic food, authentic people, and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere, this is it. The Rustic Rooster is easily one of my top spots in Vermont — a true local secret that’s worth discovering.“
