“We had the craving for a Chinese buffet on a Thursday afternoon of our cross-country RV trip (from California) and were happy to find China Moon. Even though we arrived at 1 pm (so our meal was past the traditional “lunch hour”), the buffet was constantly stocked with fresh hot food. The selection was good, and the flavors and quality on the higher side of what you’d typically expect from a Chinese buffet place. The wait staff was great, making sure our drinks were filled and our used plates were removed promptly. And at under $12 per adult, the price/performance ratio comes out much better at China Moon than a lot of places we’ve eaten at!

“My husband and I stopped by on a drive to Montreal. If we lived in the area, this would be a regular stop! The gundruk soup was absolutely outstanding - we've never had anything like it and are still talking about it weeks later! We also ordered the vegetable momo, sweet potato chhoila, jackfruit mushroom tarkari, and tofu and mushroom chili. We really appreciated having so many vegan options. All of the food was incredible, and the server and other staff we interacted with were super friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be back next time we're in the area!“

“Found this unassuming restaurant / take out place on our ski trip. It’s hidden in the Mobile gas station, but is very clean and friendly. For a small take-out place, it carries a very ambitious menu, with several authentic Chinese dishes and a big sushi roll menu. All the food we ordered tasted great with good portion. A true hidden jam.“

Unagi Donburi, Hanover roll, Dartmouth roll, Tuck Circle slaps sooo HARD BRAHHH! Green monster roll, Karate, Dragon & Caterpillar roll are all slappy dappy! “Last night we went to Jesses o celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary! I had called for some special accommodations I wanted. They did a fabulous job with our booth (which I requested for privacy and low noise level. It was a perfect booth! I had requested champaign be on the table in ice and chilled glasses. Candles were another request. The table was perfect and beautiful. Very romantic! My Huband's gift was delivered to the restaurant. It was sitting on the shelf behind the table. Perfect! The Managers and staff were excellent! A shout out to Tiffany and Abbey(manager). So very pleasant and accommodating. We have never had such excellent service. We have to many 4/5 star restaurants in our 50 years together (actually 52 if you count our courtship) LOL! So, congratulations on a job well done. Everyone (seemed to know about it) Even other patrons came by our table and congratulated us! e were truly made to feel special. I highly recommend Jesses for celebrations, or just a fabulous meal. They usually have live music in the bar area on the weekend nights. Which is where we usually sit for the comradery. . Always someone interesting to strike up a conversation with, sitting right next to you. Jesses is the place to be!“

My kids are picky eaters but miraculously they love "chickpea sauce" (chana masala punjabi). When you order food mild, it is actually mild. I like it medium, and it comes actually medium. Our family is mostly vegetarian and we love the eggplant, the lentils, the chickpeas, the cauliflower, and most of all the creamy spinach with blocks of homemade cheese (saag paneer). My parents have always loved the chicken with mango and all the lamb dishes. Get the garlic naan, a mango lassi, and a gulab jamun dessert! I never tire of the scents and flavors here. And the owners are always kind, friendly, and very fast.“

They also have many premixed items, such as their donut, bread, and cake mixes. I love their kitchen towels; they're the only ones I'll buy because they hold up so well. Be sure to visit their café for a treat, a cup of coffee, or a homemade sandwich. You can also take a class there to learn how to make bread and other specialties. I promise you won't leave empty-handed!

And since I can't do all the stairs, they're good about opening the back door to let me in if we call first, or if someone else goes in first to request it.

“Absolutely love The Nest Kitchen! I always tell myself that I should try something different on the menu, but I just cannot get enough of the Turkey Apple sandwich! It hits all the right notes. The sharpness from the cheddar, sweetness and crunch from the apple, the pepperiness from the arugula, and the bit of spice from the house made sriracha mayo. There is just the right ratio of turkey and other ingredients between the thinly sliced and lightly toasted sourdough bread. All I have to say is...YUM! I can vouch for the chai spiced sugar cookies and coffee drinks too. Takeout is packaged well and ready when I arrive and the staff is always friendly. Such a great addition to downtown Hanover! The service was phenomenal I had my food within 10 minutes of placing an order and was greeted by the executive chef Harrison in passing. I got A chance to learn about a handful of dishes from the mind that created them which overall enhanced my experience and had me leaving with a newfound appreciation for the food I was eating. The detail in each dish and the multiple levels of flavor made this dining experience the best I've had in the entire area. As someone who follows a lot of culinary influencers and experts there are few I have seen that match up to the skills and knowledge that Chef Harrison Hicks and his team show. Chef Hicks deserves the kind of recognition and appreciation something such as the James beard award would provide.“
