“This is a Sichuan restaurant that leans more toward larger, shareable dishes rather than small plates. Overall, the flavors are bold and satisfying if you order the right items.
Recommended: Century egg & eggplant with pounded chili (very fragrant), wasabi pork knuckle (surprisingly well balanced), spicy chicken (la zi ji), bullfrog, dry pot cauliflower, and the mixed stir-fry of liver and kidney. These dishes all have good seasoning and solid execution.
Not recommended: Anything from the sizzling iron plate menu. the texture and flavor don’t really work here.
Good choice for classic Sichuan comfort dishes, especially when dining with a group.“

“Dined in but I think this is a 5 star for takeout and will likely reassess. 4 star for dine in.
Order on tablets but the waitresses were still nice and recommended dishes.
Had the chicken fried rice and the pickled pepper beef. The fried rice was the standout. Huge portion, great price, excellent flavor. 10/10. Really liked the pickled pepper beef, without the peppers it would have fallen flat but they added a nice tang.“

“I had a great time at this karaoke spot! 🎤 The environment is clean, modern, and well-designed, with private rooms that feel comfortable and lively at the same time. The sound system is excellent, and the atmosphere makes it easy to relax and enjoy singing with friends. I was also pleasantly surprised by the food 🍽️ — the menu offers a good variety, and everything we ordered was fresh and flavorful. The snacks paired perfectly with our drinks and karaoke session. Overall, it’s a fun place to hang out, sing, eat well, and create great memories 🎶.
Highly recommended!“

“This restaurant is underrated in overall, delicious meals with large portions with cheap prices. We keep returning to ordering meals almost weekly. One thing is you should disregard the inside tables/chairs are out of date, because the restaurant puts more efforts into the quality menu. Its front door is opened on the streets side, so people often missed it. I encourage you try them when you get a chance.“

“Very flavorful and delicious food located conveniently next to light rail station. The low rating at this restaurant feels inaccurate, because everything we ordered came hot and fresh, packed with flavor, very well seasoned. The cumin toothpick lamb was delicious and spicy, Sweet and sour glazed pork and mapo tofu were perfect. We also ordered the green beans that had great charred flavor, and the garlic eggplant was cooked perfectly. Service was also very prompt, they refilled water as soon as it was empty and also gave us extra napkins without us even having to ask. The restaurant was very peaceful inside and we were able to sit down and eat within a reasonable amount of time for a Saturday night. Please come here, you will not regret it!“

“This feels like a hidden gem? The food and service were good. We had complimentary hot tea, hard to enjoy on a warm day but welcomed. I ordered the garlic eggplant, water boiled fish, and one of the lamb dish that had onions. Everything came out so delicious and as I expected from previous sichuanese restaurant experiences. The food is served family style on a large plate with one serving spoon. It can be difficult to eat the food with chopsticks as it gets oily real quick but they provide a spoon upon request. I would love to come back as often as possible if I were closer. It's also pretty affordable for the amount of food received.“

“There's this unexpected gem, you MUST try, in the U-District! It's the Red Pepper Chinese Cuisine! They are this great clean and fairly fast restaurant, that serves up hearty and delicious meals! Most of their entrées serve 2 or more people (almost family style), so bring your appetite!!! We had their Dry Pot dish, where you can choose 5 mix and match ingredients, on their menu. A Stir-Fried Noodle, with Chicken and a Deep Fried Chicken Soft Bone, with RED PEPPER! 😉🔥🌶 Everything was super delicious and filling!!! It looks like they have great lunch specials too, so go check them out and lmk what you try! Cheers!“

“Went here for Valentine's Day at 9 pm, about a 15-30 min wait, they gave my girl a rose when we sat down. There are SO many options for broth, meat, vegetables, tons of seafood and tofu options. It took us at least 15 mins to decide what we wanted. No cold desert options after 9 pm. Still gave us the free soft serve at the end though.
If it's your first time, highly recommend basic bone broth/spicy broth duo, pork and beef combo ring, cabbage, yam sticks, dumplings, udon noodles. For just broth n meat and no extras, expect to spend about $30-$40 total. All extras cost about $4.50-$12.
Highly recommend the fried rice cakes for desert.
For sauce bar, mix peanuts, peanut/sesame paste, a little chilli oil, a little oyster or hoisin sauce, green onions, cilantro, with a little soy sauce, (optionally add vinegar).
The servers don't check up on you too much after ordering unless it's to refill your broth. You can take everything leftover home, including broth for round 2 at home. 10/10 highly recommend.“

“One of the most beloved restaurants by locals. It’s always at the top of my list and worth the drive from downtown. The staff is lovely, the noodles are great, and the ambiance makes you feel like you’re at home. I’ve been here dozens of times and I will continue to do so.“

“Went on a Sat afternoon. Place was not very busy but it took a bit to get seated. Had to ask for paper menus.
Picked one safe dish and one new dish. Worth it! We got the pumpkin fried with salted egg yolks and some vegetarian noodles.“

“The food was excellent, and the waitress was very attentive. I had the wonton soup, crispy honey walnut chicken, garlic string beans, and the short ribs. Every dish was very good. If I had to choose a favorite it was probably the honey walnut chicken because it had a very satisfying crispy texture on the outside.“
