“A very solid place for good traditional Korean soups. I had the spicy beef soup and was very happy. The place is not trendy and looked to attract a very local crowd. Prices were inline with other Korean restaurants. I can't wait to go back and try some of the other soup selections.“
“Seriously, I've never had a better server. She memorized our 5 orders with drinks and appetizers perfectly. She checked-in just the right amount and brought us stuff before we even knew we needed it. Amazing customer service is still alive and well here. The food was amazing too. The chicken is wonderful the sides were unique and tasty as were the drinks. I brought family from out of town and they were beyond impressed. 5 stars deserves 10 stars.“

“Wow!!! New favorite teriyaki place hands down! And they have so many other things, all done super well! Teriyaki had a really smokey quality to it that was so delicious, and the katsu and curry was spectacular! I saw their Korean Fried Chicken being served and it was top notch. Nothing here is done lazy, it's all taken seriously and the gal at the counter has a hilarious sense of humor! Will be back!“

“The food is so good. Fresh and delicious. The service goes above and beyond. Parking can be tricky if you come in from the front but if you go around behind the building there is ample parking.
I highly recommend the 3 fish and the kimchi pork with tofu!“

“Screw all the bad reviews, they don’t have taste buds. Good restaurant, consistent quality, not over-greased or skimpy with their portions! Which is a rarity nowadays.. the cost of goods has incentivized most restaurants to portion control down to the penny, so it’s good to experience one that isn’t about all that.
It ain’t dumb cheap, but it’s once again met with decent portions. Been eating here well over five years👌“

“The service here was excellent and the staff were very attentive. As for the food, it’s clearly high quality, but it has a very distinct style. Unlike the 'Westernized' Korean dishes or the specific style of soup I’m accustomed to, this felt much more like authentic home-style cooking. The fact that the restaurant is consistently packed with Korean patrons suggests they are doing something very right. While the flavor profile wasn't quite what I personally prefer, I can certainly appreciate the authenticity and the effort put into the meal. Worth a visit if you are looking for a genuine, homelike dining experience.“

“I’m writing this as I eat my leftovers. Im obsessed with the spicy soft tofu soup! The broth is made of bone broth and the spicy stuff when most places are water. The beef in the soup is great prime quality. The happy hour beef tartare was good! It’s on the sweeter side rather than the salty but the flavors really worked out. The service was nice as well! Andrew (i think that’s his name but young korean guy with tattoos) our server was the best.“
“I was recently traveling in South Korea and was craving the same quality of food that I ate while there. Jung’s has an amazing banchan selection! I called and ordered kimbap and it was ready when I arrived. Everything was delicious. The staff were so friendly and helpful.“

“The food is great. I called on my lunch to order . Multiple times got hung up on. Pick up then hang up. Then I go in to order and the kid taking orders did the same thing when people called. Not even very busy and he’s hanging up on customers calling to place an order. not cool. Might wanna let him know. But the place is great never had food I didn’t like“

“Delicious but be careful with the spice level. I got the spicy chicken with the “hot” (2nd most spicy) spice level, and it was waaay too spicy for us, to the point that our mouths were just in constant pain the rest of the meal. I will be coming back and getting mild next time for sure.“

“I got a half mozzarella half all beef dog with potatoes here. It was extremely good, and I loved all the sauces.
It was only $7-8 for a hot dog, which is actually very good considering how expensive most restaurants are now.
The guy working the counter (younger guy with braces) was really helpful and patient with me. I hadn't been there before and kept asking what was good, and he was super helpful and gave me good recommendations.“

“In an over saturated market of Korean food, Gui Gui is our favorite K BBQ place in the area. The meat is quality, the service is friendly, and the atmosphere feels like you are part of their family. The side dishes are fresh and there is often an option for purple rice, not just white. We highly recommend this hole-in-the-wall treasure.“

“Their Korean-inspired Asian fusion burritos are outstanding! I’ve tried almost all of them, but the Flaming Boar is probably my favorite. Fair warning: these burritos are big—enough to share or it will likely become two meals for you! Either way you win.“

It’s not every day I give out a perfect five stars, but Modoo Restaurant earns it with quiet confidence and genuine craftsmanship. This is the kind of place that reminds you why Korean cuisine resonates so deeply—soulful, aromatic, and comforting to the very last bite.

Every dish reflects thoughtful execution and traditional Korean roots. From the perfectly seasoned soups to the sizzling platters, each bite honors the depth and nuance of Korean home cooking.
Flavor – 5/5
Each plate arrived piping hot and beautifully balanced—rich in flavor yet never overly salty. The dishes had that signature Korean aroma that’s hard to replicate: a delicate balance of spice, umami, and warmth that lingers pleasantly.
Service – 5/5
Service here is top-notch—attentive, welcoming, and genuine. The staff seemed to take pride in ensuring every guest felt looked after, enhancing the entire dining experience.
Cost – 5/5
Considering the generous portions and quality of food, Modoo offers incredible value. Every dish felt thoughtfully priced, making this one of those rare finds where you leave full, happy, and impressed.
Final Thoughts:
Modoo Restaurant stands out as one of the most authentic Korean dining experiences I’ve had in the area. Everything—from the piping-hot dishes to the heartfelt service—spoke of care and quality. A must-visit for anyone craving honest, flavorful Korean cuisine.“

“This Korean-style Chinese food is the best I've had in ages.
Just a heads-up about the location. This spot is actually inside G-Mart, like a food court. I want everyone to know so you don't go looking for it outside and turn back. The owner was super welcoming and suggested their popular dishes. We got Jjajangmyeon, Jjambbong, and Gganpoonggi. Everything was so good. I wish I'd found this place sooner.“

“You know at first I wasn't sure what to expect when I came here late night with a friend for some grub. This place was great. Really chill atmosphere, not loud like a bar, and great food. Crispy juicy savory goodness. Though things could have been spicier.“

“Ok. This place blew me away with its food quality. Sitting at the corner in a Korean Mart, I didn't expect the food could be this good. I paid $17+tax for the pork soon tofu soup. The owner actually cooked the rice in a small hot pot and delivered those freshly cooked dishes right to my table. I chose the mixed grains rice, and it was steamy hot, but sweet and moist. Can't complain about anything with this quality at such a reasonable price.
Thank you.
I REALLY ENJOYED YOUR FOOD.“

“Highly recommend for lunch time! We had the all you can eat lunch, just $25 per person. It is so fresh! A huge variety of sides and the kitchen and seawead where so delicious. The meat was especially fresh and delicious, there was a huge variety. We had great service and they even accommodated our little. We will definitely be coming back!“
“AMAZING! This is some of the best Korean food I have had and maybe some of the best I’ve ever had. I got the Japchae-bap and literally texted all my friends with pictures. It’s so delicious. Don’t pay attention to the negative comments, they are just wrong.“

“What a gem! As you enter this place, the decor is inviting and modern. The owners are very friendly. The fusion Korean food doesn't compromise the genuine taste of Korean food and this coming from a very picky person when it comes to korean food. The portion is huge. The bulgogi burrito is large enough for 2 people to share. We didn't order the burgers but I heard that the owners specialize in burgers. Next time I'm definitely going to try the burgers!“

“New Seoul Korean Restaurant is situated at the intersection of Lynnwood, Mukilteo, and Everett. It had been a long time since my last visit, but when I returned for a weekend lunch, the place was fully packed, clearly a popular spot in the area.
Initially, I thought this restaurant specialized in soondae (Korean blood sausage), but after browsing the menu, I realized they offer a wide variety of Korean dishes. From Korean BBQ and seafood to soups and stews, they seem to have just about everything. As of March 2025, the prices remain reasonable, especially considering inflation and Seattle's market trends.
We ordered the Korean Blood Sausage Soup (#26), Spicy Beef Soup (#32), Spicy Fish Stew, and Unspiced Fish Stew. Typically, spicy fish stews are made with frozen fish, but if you're lucky, you can get a fresh fish version, fortunately, it was available during our visit.
Five different Korean side dishes (banchan) were served, all well-balanced in flavor, not overly sweet or too spicy. A standout feature of this restaurant is the stone-pot rice. You can scoop out the freshly cooked rice first, then pour hot water into the pot to make nurungji (scorched rice), a traditional and comforting finish to the meal.
We enjoyed everything we ordered except for the unspiced fish stew, which didn't quite meet our expectations.
One minor downside was the restaurant's payment policy. We wanted to split the bill, but the cashier politely informed us that they only accept cash or a single credit card payment per transaction. Since only one of us had cash, and not enough to cover the entire bill, one person had to pay with his credit card while the rest of us reimbursed him via Venmo. While this wasn’t a huge issue, it was a slight inconvenience.
Overall, the food and service were great, making it a solid choice for authentic Korean cuisine in the area.“

“Genuinely the BEST chicken katsu I've ever had! I ordered online and had to call the restaurant back just to tell them how fantastic it was! Perfectly tender and juicy chicken, and the breading was so light and crispy. Absolutely recommend this! It was a perfect lunch to tie me over for my 12hr shift! Thank you guys! Can't wait to try your other options. I'll absolutely be back!“

“I was a little skeptical of this place because of it being a food court. Also, there was no line so i thought it would be a terrible decision. The food was actually quite good and the portions were very generous. I would definitely come eat here again!“

“A lot to unpack here. I ordered chicken wings and Korean fries here for pickup on DoorDash. I walked in when the app said it was ready. I told the bartender I was there for a DoorDash pickup and she said it would be 5 more minutes. I didn’t actually receive my for another 25 minutes after talking to her, and she even asked me a second time why I was there. Lol Also within this time I witnessed two different parties get the wrong order. I also saw that they serve Everclear shots. Wild. When my food finally came out, the bartender just set it on the bar like 3 seats away from me and said “it’s ready”. Not very personable at all. The fries were soggy. Not sure why since I’d been in the building for so long, but I’m a weirdo and I actually like soggy fries as well as crispy ones so I was fine with that - the flavour was great. Maybe if you order them there, they will be crispy. The wings were phenomenal. Their sound system is amazing and I love their music selection. I also liked the K-pop videos. My 5-star review is based on food and ambience only. Service is lacking, much like other reviewers say. I’d come back for a to-go order.“

“The owner was so so sweet when me and my family visited. I’m from LAS VEGAS and this has to be one of the BEST korean food spots I’ve visited. I’m definitely going to miss this place. She has the best kimichi and pickled radish I’ve ever had. And I usually don’t even LIKE pickled radish. The portions are also very generous and you definitely get your money’s worth. She also gave us two extra containers of kimchi when we asked 🫶 Everything was absolutely lovely and I 100% recommend this place!!!“

“Delicious food and friendly service! For appetizers, my friend and I ordered the vegetable pancake to share. It was steaming hot, crispy, large enough for us to share and have leftovers. I ordered the stone pot bibimbap with tofu. The bibimbap had lots of fresh veggies, perfectly cooked sunny side up egg, and crackling rice at the bottom. They give you tons of fresh banchan too!“

I'm always greeted with a friendly smile from the employees and the food always comes out fast and fresh! It has great options for vegetarians as well. They have many substitutions and upgrades to the food for amazing prices. This place is great for solo lunches, quick family dinner, and just grabbing bite with a friend!“

“Similar to their Mill Creek location, the service, food and atmosphere was exactly the same but the sides selection was way less and I didnt particularly like the self service rice compared to their other location serving it in specific rice containers. Other than that, this is a solid choice for good quality and priced KBBQ“

“Perfectly average Korean BBQ. Food quality is based on your ability, pricing seems reasonable for an AYCE establishment.
Ingredients that were ordered were fresh and of high quality, including the shrimp and scallops.
Little to no decor, but let's be honest- you're going to K-BBQ for the party, not for the atmosphere.“

“I ordered on doordash for pickup, my food was hot & ready once I arrived not even 15 minutes after ordering- perfect, beautiful. However, there was only one person working the front end & they were absolutely busting their ass. My partner ordered a bubble tea once we arrived & it probably took 20ish minutes to actually receive it. I am in no way complaining about the length of time it took, more so wanting to bring to the owners attention how hard this person was being worked during what was an insanely busy dinner rush. Food was decent for the price & I would definitely come back. Shout out to the pink haired FOH worker for their patience & warmth during an insane rush of people slamming their phone in their face & demanding to be seen.“

“So happy a dedicated jokbal/bossam restaurant opened. The jokbal I ordered was delicious, with the proper fragrance and seasoningThe single serving was huge, more than enough for two people. Three people would satisfied with extra lettuce, garlic, shrimp sauce, and samjang. They didn’t try to deceive with a lot of bones. Service is fast, packaging was somewhat eco friendly with paper instead of plastic.“
