“I bought about 10 different things from here, 3 kinds of kimchi and 7 other side dishes and they're all really really good! The veggies are very fresh and perfectly seasoned. I'm not Korean but I've had my fair share of Korean food and I've made my own kimchi for years and a lot of side dishes and entrees as well. But these are so much better than the hundreds of recipes I've tried. She gave me a bonus japchae that also tastes fabulous. I'm so happy I found this place!“

“Good little place to drop in if you're craving Korean. Side dishes were lovely and refilled often and the food we ordered was authentic and tasty. Luckily it wasnt busy when we went and they seated our large-ish party of 7 immediately. Nice little hidden gem.“

“Great little teriyaki spot in Shoreline. No-frills decor but very clean. I had the vegetable yakisoba: a big portion of noodles, crisp vegetables and a tasty sauce. Service was quick and polite, and the staff were genuinely warm. Simple food done right.“

“The best value in Shoreline — lots of banchan, fried chicken and dumplings on the tteokbokki on the buffet. The most unique item they have for the $35 dinner ayce is this marinated squid which comes out slightly sweet but smoky on the grill.

“This place has improved significantly 0over the last few months. Food has always been tops, now they have the service to match. I go for a 30 minute lunch break, and always have extra time. Try the general's chicken, and the spicy chicken teriyaki if you have my taste, or the banh mi sandwich you have my partner's taste. All 3 were exceptional. I'll be back many times.“

“I stopped here because I wanted to grab something to eat with my family before the Janet Jackson concert. I had never heard of this restaurant so I was excited and extremely surprised with how intricate their menu experience was. The food was exceptional and the presentation was memorable. The flavor combinations were very creative and they definitely leave a lasting impression. I highly recommend the fried rice with kimchi, bacon, squidding, and the quail egg. also the oxtail dish and the salad dish were extremely unique and highly creative, and absolutely delicious.“

From the Seafood pancake (which was actually crispy and made fresh so well) to the spicy chicken to the grilled pork belly, you are assaulted with deliciousness constantly. “I visited JangAn Sullingtang in Lynnwood on a Sunday morning and had a very good experience. The restaurant mainly specializes in Korean-style beef soups, along with other dishes such as dumplings and, according to the menu, seafood pancakes after 4 PM.

There were already about 20 people there when I arrived, but I got seated right away. I noticed a sign-in book for a waitlist in the corner, so I imagine this place can get quite busy at other times.

The interior is modern and clean. My soup came out very quickly, and the broth was rich, hearty, and flavorful. The servers were friendly and attentive and checked on me several times throughout the meal. Overall it was a satisfying meal.“

“Great place, I had the spicy pork and tofu soup combo. I choose the kimchi soup with pork. Next time Ill probably just get the veggie soup and the spicy pork. The tofu was pretty good, the soup and pork were spicy enough but did not kill me, and it was relatively fast.

If you are a vegetarian do note all their soups use beaf broth. They do have a veggie soup if you don’t mind the broth.“

“Bang for your buck and best place for Soondubu. Stone pot purple rice is included and its crispy bottom is just the cherry on top to finish your meal!! The soup is always comforting & flavorful. Also appreciate the hot tea they serve; it tastes like a warm hug and smells like being in rice field.

I like that their menu is small but flavor-packed in every dish. My go to is the Fish roe tofu soup, but I have been loving the Pork bone soup and Hangover soup.

“Interior is low lit, light comfortable tones. Decided to start with their original KFC (korean fried chicken). Nice double fry crunch, mild seasoning. Family tried the curry katsu udon and house yakisoba while I ordered the karaage curry rice. Some of the karaage were overcooked and tough. Curry sauce was good by itself. Very tasty. Yakisoba was standard. Owner? and cashier were helpful and attentive.“

I was enthusiastic about finding somewhere open earlier than most and serving Korean breakfast. The name of the restaurant is obvious. That’s what I recommend to order and the handmade dumplings. Korean food is my absolute go-to comfort. Everything was spot-on, homestyle, HOT, and a hometown cafe, relaxed vibe. Exactly the sort of place I can go to when I need to start the day right. I would go any time of the day, really, but have not tried anything else on the menu. It was clean and we were served quickly. We were also the first ones there. I could imagine this place filling up though if their other dishes are as consistent as the two we got. We only got a picture of the soup and when the dumplings soon arrived, too busy eating! My friend and I got the Sunday dinner and our friend's got the trout and crab noodles. We also ordered a kimchi sampler and the short Rib wontons (for any Trove fans out there - just like the SR chili wontons which I miss so much).

All the food was very delicious, with fantastic flavour cominations and great for the gut too!

“For us, it’s hard to find GOOD more authentic Korean food, but Hosoonyi is our go to. Every time we’ve come in over the years the people are so friendly and attentive. “It was my first time trying grilled intestines like this, and I was honestly a little worried it might have a strong smell, but they cleaned and prepared it really well. When the edges get slightly crispy and charred, it smells amazing, while the inside still stays soft and chewy. It tastes really good with grilled garlic.

The mushrooms were also really good after soaking up all the meat juices from the grill. The yukhoe was easier to eat than I expected too — once mixed with the egg yolk, the texture became really smooth and rich without feeling too heavy.

The atmosphere of the restaurant also felt really cozy, kind of like those small Korean restaurants in K-dramas. The lighting was nice and it wasn’t too loud, so it was a good place to slowly eat and chat with friends at night.“
