“Scrumptious food! Fresh ingredients, well prepared without too much oil. They were super busy when I arrived, and my food was still prepared quickly. Everything is Halal, so you know that the animals were treated humanely. There are also vegan options. Everything was divine, I was happily surprised to find a new twist on some of my favorites. Also, the place is really clean.“

“The owner is incredibly personable and is very involved with his restaurant. His staff is very attentive and have excellent customer service skills. I chose a faster made food, the Chicken Kabob (recommended by the owner) and there was nothing that made it feel rushed or made cheap even though the price was amazing for the amount of food that came about 10 mins after ordering. BEST DARN KABOB I'VE EVER HAD IN SEATTLE. I'm sad I didn't try this place out when I lived in the neighborhood 10 yrs ago. I'd be a lot fatter by now...“

“Absolutely impeccable food. I’ve had SO many gyros from so many different places and it was literally the best I’ve ever had. The hummus, the chicken, the beef + lamb, fries, rice, sauce— EVERYTHING was so good! And it’s close to home!! Will be stopping in again soon.

Felt like traveling back in time getting a chicken shawarma, and the garlic sauce took it a step beyond. It was late and there was barely any place to sit, so that hasn’t changed, but overall still a top tier place to get a quick bite in the U-district anytime of day!“

“Came here on a hot 82 degree day and they had a shaded lounge with air conditioning, running water to wash hands, and reasonably priced food. I didn’t even think I was that hungry but once I had a bite I could not stop it was that good! I am 100% coming back here, what a pleasant experience. You can really tell the owner loves what he does and the ingredients were fresh and flavorful, even uses saffron for the rice! This is one gem of a food truck in Seattle.“

“The food is delicious . Everything is made with pride . It’s all fresh and made in house . Since it’s fresh and made to order , you will have to wait . It is worth it . I highly recommend the Greek french fries , amazing. Also I would not skip the chai tea or baklava, both so good. Friendly family business that appreciates its customers. The only thing I did not like was not their fault . Customers constantly talking loudly on cell phone , incredibly annoying ringers going off from multiple phones, some very loud voices . It’s a tiny place with close tables so hear everything. It has lovely lighting from beautiful lamps and is nicely decorated. I just wish some of the customers more considerate .“

“I've been coming to Gyros Place regularly and it's become one of my favorite lunch spots. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. The gyros are always packed with quality ingredients, and everything I've tried has been great.

What really keeps me coming back is the consistency and friendly service. The staff is welcoming, orders come out quickly, and it's clear they care about their customers. Having Gyros Place right in my building is a huge bonus, but I'd go out of my way to eat here even if it wasn't.

If you're looking for a reliable spot for a great meal, I highly recommend giving Gyros Place a try.“

My only complaint and the only reason that I didn't give them 5 stars for atmosphere is because it was hot as Hades in there. “Took the parents for their first meal in Seattle and they wanted Mediterranean. Found this place not far from the Fauntleroy ferry dock. We ate outside, the servers were very nice and the food was delicious. Definitely will be going again. Not a pet friendly place for those with doggos.“

“Well….. there’s a reason this place gets talked about a lot and it’s not just that you cannot reserve a table so its basically you and luck if its no wait or a full 45min. We got lucky and got a table immediately. Now service for the most part was great, but I am going to immediately dock a point because a plate was set on my phone, without even asking if I could move it and also yes there was plenty of space on the table. I didn’t ask for a side of attitude with my food.

Lets talk food, there is some serious magic happening with every single plat they served especially the vegetables, but even the dips which we got the trio of was so very good, we got the hummus, labneh and another that was infused with beets all three were incredible and we knew to order the extra order of bread. The vegetables were grilled onion (was actually difficult to eat as they were very slippery) but the flavor was on point, the asparagus which was so incredibly good and kohlrabi that was my husband’s absolute favorite. For our larger plates we ordered the chicken which was cooked perfectly (absolutely order garlic spread to go with this) and the Lamb, the cook on this was excellent, though we preferred the lamb leg to the kebab.

Worth the trip my friends, also check out your soft serve flavor which continuously change (or go to their sister location a few steps away if your more traditional and want a chocolate swirl)“

I highly suggest the French toast or Zaatar Halloumi toast. If you’re in the mood for something more savory the shakshuka will be your go to!“

“Believe the hype! This place is fantastic! We came based on the reviews and were not disappointed. Gyro was very flavorful and the pita bread was toasted to perfection! Quality and freshness of the ingredients was exceptional, particularly noticeable in the falafel salad which had a simple but addictive vinaigrette and some of the best falafels we have ever had with crispy outside and super flavorful inside. Simple fries were super crispy, hot and fresh. So happy we came!“

“Hummus Cafe is one of those places that just makes you happy.

The food is authentic, fresh, and full of flavor. The Om Ali is perfect, the Mehalabya (rice pudding) is amazing, and the falafel and eggplant sandwich is honestly to die for.

What really stands out, though, is that the food feels like it was made with love. You can taste the love in every bite, and that's something you don't find very often. It's the kind of meal that puts a smile on your face and makes you want to come back.

If you're looking for real Egyptian and Mediterranean food, I can't recommend this place enough.“

“Got mixed meat with rice, tzatziki and hummus as takeout. Huge portions of good quality food, for a great price as a meal deal. Highly recommend this option if you can't choose! The only criticism is the hummus was runny and not thick.“
