Michael brought us samples and was able to give us different ideas and suggestions we had not even thought about. After meeting with Michael, we felt at ease knowing we were in the right hands. Our cake turned out beautifully and we received so many compliments on not only it's looks, but also how good the cake tasted. “The baked goods from TheBakeLab are delicious! I ordered an Apple Berry pie and cinnamon rolls, and both were amazing! The crust of the pie was a great mixture of crisp and soft, and the texture and consistency of the apples and berries were perfect! The cinnamon rolls were moist, had a great blend of cinnamon and sugar, and were iced to perfection. I highly recommend TheBakeLab, they definitely did not disappoint.“

“My partner lives in Renton and I live in Vancouver BC and I drive to see him about twice a month, and I've driven by this donut shop every single time I arrive to Renton. I've been wanting to check it out since my first visit last October when I drove by for the first time. Well, two days ago I decided to finally stop in and I'm SO GLAD I did!
I had a medium coffee and an apple fritter, as it was one of the ones mentioned to me when I asked what their most popular donuts are.
This was THE BEST apple fritter I've EVER HAD! The glaze was thick and crusty, it was fried perfectly even, and had LOTS of nice diced apple inside, small enough that ever bite had apple pieces. The problem I find with other places is the apples are cut too big and so not every bite has apple in it. Well this one was P.E.R.F.E.C.T! A great balance of cinnamon as well.

Oh, did I mention I am a Certified Red Seal Chef in Canada!??! Really! I've lived and worked in Various countries and tried donuts from all over, and this apple fritter was INCREDIBLE!
They're closed today (Sunday) so tomorrow when I head back to Canada, I plan to stop by and buy some to share at home.
10/10 recommend!

Food is fresh, made to order. Quality is impeccable. Flavors are great.

I ordered an Italian sandwich. Comes on bagel. Bagel is soft and simply wonderful. Everything has a well balanced flavor together.

My double tall capp was great too. Very well executed cappuccino with just the right amount of foam. Beans have nice flavor. Not overpowering, not weak, not pruney aftertaste of cheap Arabica. Good quality medium roast.

Seating is quite comfortable. Handicap and wheel chair accessible. Kid friendly. Nice place to relax and unwind, get a nibble or light lunch or breakfast, and some caffeine.

Staff is prompt and professional. They make it nice here.

I'll be honest... I accidentally took the wrong turn in Seattle and took the 520 toll bridge LOL!!! I thought, eh, I'm already going to Bellevue, let's get some matcha. I chose Café Joy as I knew there would be plentiful public library parking. FWIW, I used to work in Bellevue so I know all of the best parking areas

Anyway, I visited on a very sunny Saturday early afternoon. The doors were open, revealing an already pretty packed establishment. Albeit, ample room for some to study or catch up with a friend. The menu was filled with many eye-catching items. I noticed they had a corn latte, so I asked the worker if it was possible to do a that with matcha instead of coffee. He suggested I order a regular matcha latte (sweetened) and then he'd add corn cold foam. Good idea! He did a really great job making the drink-- the color itself was vibrant and the taste was refreshing... most importantly, not too sweet
