“I’ve been craving a good gukbap for many months and finally got a chance to go for my birthday, which happened to be a gloomy day. I got the Grandpa’s Pig Bone Soup, which is basically just a bowl of goodness. It comes with meat and veggies in a thick broth. I asked for extra spice on the side, which is perfect if you love a kick. Also, add some more salt to taste if needed. My family also ordered meat for kbbq, which is good as well. We went on a weekday in the afternoon after lunch and before dinner time, so there was no one else in the restaurant and we were fully able to enjoy ourselves ? For me, I would most definitely go back for the gukbap and to try their other dishes on the menu!!“

“My husband and I hired Shug's to cater dessert at our wedding in August 2024 and it was definitely a highlight of our night!
Our experience started with a tasting of every single flavor they offer at their Seattle shop! It was a wonderful experience paired with a glass of prosecco! We got to choose 6 flavors to offer our guests!
The overall booking process was super easy and email communication was easy.
The night of the wedding, Paul (co-owner), arrived to serve for us in their super cute and aesthetic ice cream cart! He is so sweet and kind.
Our guests got to pick from cups or cones and various flavors. We also had a little toppings bar set up.

“One of our friends described this very Seattle brewery perfectly: You see people playing D&D while the Seahawks are playing. Beers are brewed in house! We love playing games and hanging out here. Friendly staff and fantastic atmosphere. I mean, how can you beat hanging out, drinking and playing board games while watching sci-fi films / Seahawks games? Strangely to some, the most impressive aspect is the restroom setup. Gender neutral rooms with tampons/pads on hand for those who need them. For those who don't typically see this setup, it's kind of a big deal and helps this brewery stand out.“

Prices a little on the steep side, but this is a prime Seattle neighborhood and the brews are definitely high quality. “Sometimes a bad experience can turn into a great experience. I recently ordered online from Watershed FC and paid in full. Unfortunately, management forgot to update their website that they were closed that day. So, when I arrived to pick up my pizza, the doors were locked! I was frustrated. So, I wrote into the website and asked for a refund. By the time I got home (15 minutes), I received two emails and a phone call. They were deeply apologetic, and I could tell their reaction was genuine. They not only refunded me immediately, but they also gave me two free future pizzas, just to say they were sorry. The GM, Mike Mercer, is a class-act, and the employees are always accommodating and professional. It was nice to see people care about their customers! The food is great, too, btw. It's the best pizza around.“

The tables and chairs themselves are standard diner chairs, nothing fancy but it gets the job done. Food and drinks were fast but we were one of three groups at the bar. There are a few pool tables and a bunch of darts.

“Right in the heart of Amazon SLU, King Leroy has a trying to dive bar feel to it, except it's clean, has huge natural light windows and some interesting cocktails.

Didn't try any of the food here but it looked good. Bar service is quick and attentive.

“Love the beer, the staff are dope, but they close early. They're on winter hours so last call happens by around 8:30/8:45. By the time I get off work and go to make my way there it just isn't worth the drive. Otherwise really enjoy the environment there, less chaotic than the Ballard location.“
