“Special Brews is one of the pillars of the Seattle-area beer community.Their bottle selection is large and well-curated with all styles represented - the best lambic selection in town, plenty of barrel aged things, and of course all sorts of lager, IPA, cider, gluten-free beers, and more. The taplist is large and diverse and will always have things to interest anyone. The staff are a blast and offer great recommendations. There's plenty of seating, a TV to watch the game, and a good number of food options nearby you can bring in.This is everything you'd want in a local bar and everything you'd want in a specialty store combined into one.“
“My group of 20 singers went to the Zeek's Pizza in Bellingham, Washington. We went for the first Tuesday of the month music performance opportunity. The variety of pizzas offered was amazingly wide. We did a "design-your-own" pizza. The taste was very good. The price was surprise on the "high side".“
“GODLY KOREAN FRIED CHICKEN!!!11!(and beer)My favorite niche thing about this place is the hours - you can swing by here to just straight up get drunk and order multiple plates of super tasty fried chicken! I went here for a birthday celebration and all my expectations were checked off!For other things, I was a fan of the side dishes and the ordering convenience in the location. Late nights are awesome here.“
“Great brewery in lake city area with some very fun seltzer cocktails and a little coffee shop in the mornings! Service is very efficient and knowledgeable about all of their offerings. Also appears to have a local celebrity cat, which was a pleasant surprise!“
“I had a FABULOUS nonalcoholic cocktail, the name escapes me, but it was definitely the best NA I've ever had. The mouthfeel resembled real alcohol. Very impressive. My butternut squash soup was very flavorful, but for my tastes was a bit too thick. My date's cauliflower steak was not tender, but otherwise tasty. The management did not end up charging him for it, which was commendable.I would definitely return to try their steaks and more cocktails!“
“Food, service and atmosphere are all amazing. I don't drink but the food is wonderful and I love the atmosphere so much. I'm the designated driver for my friends and I love just being here. It's so incredibly cozy and I love all the art!“
“I’ve eaten here multiple times, and every time I am more impressed. The staff is attentive, kind, and knowledgeable. The self service beer is fun. But the food is what keeps me coming back. My only complaint is that the food is actually so good that I find myself over eating to the point my eyes are bulging out of my head, and then I still order dessert. If you haven’t eaten here yet, do yourself a favor and try it out!“
“Food is a side note, Covid-19 protocol and all. All I ever get are almonds, but they are served in a glass with a smile.Great selection of beer. Decent off premise sale prices. Cool in the heat, warm in winter. Too bad it is so far from my neighborhood.“
“Always delightful to check out their selection. I love that you can sit outside at the heated patio if you don't want to be inside. They're also dog friendly (they don't serve food, just have rotating food trucks). I am sober-ish and I'm always able to find root beer or kombucha available for those days I want zero alcohol.“
“Once again, another diamond in the ruff. A quaint pizzeria in a most awesome location. If you’re looking for peace from a fast paced world, it well worth the trip to the water. Awesome modest menu with an outstanding array of beer choices. Indoor or outdoor dining the views are awesome. Take your time and enjoy another fine establishment recommended by thePizza connoisseur….“
“Very chill space. Casual vibe, lots of locals and regulars. Great place to visit and get a sense of Seattle and the local micro-brew scene. Couches, tables, barstools, wifi; upstairs there's more tables and couches, plus games and a pool table. No kids, 21 and older only. No food, but food trucks almost every day. And damn good beer. They have at least 25 on tap, moat they make themselves. Plenty of parking too. Bring your own food, or get it from food trucks or nextstore. Truly "come as you are" and bring your dog, too.“
“My wife and I can’t in 6 minutes before they close. After debating with the man from the register he finally convinced us to order. My wife and i felt so bad but he urged us to order. Man oh man is this food fresh and I’m just so happy because we didn’t know what time they closed, literally just leaving the dog park. We just appreciate the customer service and how fresh this food is. Thank you.“
“One of the most fun barcades in the area - and one that has real food! Plus an ATM and change machine on site! Get delicious burgers & fried fare, reasonably priced drinks and great tap options, and enough games to keep you and your crew entertained for hours no matter what games you like: rooty tooty, sporty, group, pinball and more.Parking can be a bit tough to find and the building can get a little cramped when it's busy, but it's a chill crowd.Parking: Usually I've found free parking about 2.5 blocks away. You might get lucky and find free street parking closer but if you don't want to search, there's a paid lot on the corner behind North Star“
“If you are looking for craft beers, this is the place. A blackboard of different types guides you on the day's fresh offerings. If the blackboard does not appeal, the various cans in the cooler may have your thirst quencher. The Beertenders are knowledgeable and friendly. Every Friday a different food truck visits - their web page has a schedule. The place is a little on the small side and fills up quickly. The street patio will open in the summer and it is nice to enjoy a beer out in the open.“
“FLOODLAND on draft? This place has a great taplist. For as popular as it seems, it seems silly to waste the entire front window space with a child's table though? People who can legally buy alcohol would like a place to stand or sit too :)“
“Always delicious and one of the best taps on the Eastside!! I had the special patty melt, confit onions and it was so yummy. Their fries are also some of the top fresh cut fries around. Service is always fast and helpful. Two must try items are the Brussel sprouts and the cheese curds!“
“Pretty chill place. Good drink selection and the service is good. Went to a couple birthday gatherings there. The outside area is nice and has plenty of seating. I wish they had more heaters though. Some of the seating area gets a bit chilly. All in all it's worth stopping in. The vibe is very good.“
“I have been there in the past and enjoyed a good stout beer from the tap. My last encounter was a inquiry about the YETI stiut beer which was reported on the Internet as being there and they said it was a good thing that I called first, since they did not have it now. I liked the honesty!“
“Yes, me and my friend were treated to an awesome time at this establishment called A 1 Shop. North Greenwood area. The food was great, the atmosphere was great, the server/ bartender named Hayley checks all the boxes. I urge you to check this spot out.“
“So much fun! Even my elderly parents have fun here. Who doesn't love pinball!?! Machines are maintained and they usually have the latest pin ball machines. There are also other arcade games. They sell sodas, beer and wine. No food, however, you can bring food in. Don't be intimidated by the decor or staff. Everyone is so friendly and helpful, professional and nice. Get good at pinball and join a tournament!! So much fun here for everyone!!“
“Love Red Cork next door which has the same owner, so was very excited to finally try Taqueria Puebla. We tried 4 street tacos and one small burrito along with sampling the salsas. Everything was super tasty and had good depth of flavor. Food came out very fast and was packed well to take home. So happy that you can easily mix and match to build a meal to fit your appetite. We will be back!“
“I friggin loved this place! Just a short walk from my brother's house in Seattle and it was also my first time in Seattle - I wanted to go back as soon as we flew out! But, Growler Guys has a fantastic atmosphere, very friendly and helpful staff, and I will be back. For sure. I highly recommend it to anyone... thank you Growler Guys!“
“I recently hosted a retirement party at Tapped Public House, and I must say, it exceeded all expectations. The food was great, we started off with apps and then had a BBQ line up of items for dinner. Everything was very tasty, especially the brisket. The customer service was top-notch, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure every guest felt welcomed and attended to.The space provided for our event was not only perfect in size but also offered a sense of privacy that allowed our group to celebrate in comfort.Overall, Tapped Public House provided an unforgettable experience, and I highly recommend it for any occasion.“
“This place is a great option if you want to sit and snack while sipping a beer. Cider options were good. They had a root beer on tap. Music was a bit loud, but the vibe was laid back. The whole place seemed very clean. The salmon flatbread was delicious!“
“The food is good, but it's all coming from Elliott Bay Brewing next door, so set that as your expectation. Brother Barrel used to have their own food and the restaurant explained in a reply to another review that they hope to restore that service in the future. That would be great as I used to love this place. The service was 10/10. One guy was holding the bar down and he was doing a great job of it. He was friendly and affable, making us feel welcome. The ambiance is good if a bit quiet since this serves as a spill-over spot for Elliot Bay currently. The inside of this space is nicer than the other restaurant visually.“
“Alive with friends, it is a quintessential local watering hole. The food is okay, but a few tweaks could help it. For example the hamburger comes on a roll that is too big, usually dry, hard, and simply doesn't add to the experience, no matter how much care goes into the patty. In general the menu is tired and doesn't get much attention, even though it is a big part of the ale house. There is a new place going in across the street, related to Ridgewood by the Red Mill Burger joint. Competition is welcome and needed, but I feel the pricing at the new place will be high, like Ridgewood, and the regular Ale House crowd will stay put. The Ale House clientele seems to be in the 50s. I like it in general, now lean more on the tap beers and eat before coming in.“
“Late brunch, and I'm craving something healthy. I found a restaurant with great reviews and a variety of meals, so I decided to try their Tonnato Salad for $24.00 without tax and tip. It includes roasted fingerling potatoes, tomatoes, eggs, tuna, pickled fennel, cipollini onions, and tonnato dressing. The flavor is healthy and delicious, but personally, I found it a bit oily. It might not be the best option for takeout, but it's definitely worth trying their other dishes!“
“This place is amazing. In my trip I had the luxury of Cierra as my waitress, the term waitress is used loosely as she knew the menu perfectly and had the most amazing customer service. The food was brought out quickly and everything was done exactly as ordered. I recommend trying this place and if your lucky enough to get Cierra as the person who takes care of you, even better.“
“Great local taphouse. We've been coming here for a few years now (since we moved to the neighborhood), and decided to become members this year. They always have good beers on tap and a decent food truck. The crayons and paper are a great way to entertain the toddler if we forgot toys, and there's lots of room for kids to run around outside. It's nice to visit family friendly establishments that do things like put step stools in the bathroom for the little kids.“
“I have a soy allergy so generally have to stay away from Vietnamese (and most other Asian) cuisine sadly, but Vinason has soy-free options that were amazing!!! We ordered the bahn mi and pho ??. The food came out super fast, and the place is so pretty and cleanly! Will definitely come back & highly recommend!Dietary restrictions: Soy-free options (as well as other allergens) on website!“
“Didn't expect such lovely service, good wholesome, food, and " mom n pop eatery" kind of vibe in such an unlikely place- right next door to Fred Meyer's. The Pho there was just what was needed on this wintry Friday to kick off the weekend! We will be back to try out the rest of the menu.“
“Server Makenzie was relaxed, friendly and super efficient with our 12 top group that trickled in. The timing of food and beverage was so steady and smooth not to mention the pizza! Dine in folks. No box. Their perfect crispy crust, flavors, and careful toppings deserve oven to table experience. It took a full minute to serve the first slice because the cheese thread was so long! Woohoo!“
“I usually don't talk about a particular business yet this Brewing taproom has multiple activities that bring your enjoyment in the northend. It is a location where you can enjoy good music, practice your open mic, dance, eat, meet new people, and enjoy awesome drinks. Also the opportunity to do your business meeting indoors and outdoor right by the Berg Gilman trail. If you are in Kenmore make sure to visit this place as most nights they'll have a fun activity“
“Service was quick and friendly. The manager was knowledgeable about a wide variety of local craft beers and even provided recommendations for brews they don’t currently carry. Ordered the Hurricane Pizza (veggie) for takeout, pizza was very good.“
“My Son brought me here and I couldn't be happier. A great place to hang with the locals and drink excellent beer, my favorite being Bad Habit, so good. Come find your own favorite beer too, while playing one of several pinball machines or mingle and expand your friend circle. A++“
