Hunkered shyly among the glittering corporate hellscape of Bellevue, this jewel of a coffee shop is a joyful discovery. Baristas are soft-toned, at once reserved and considerate, and they absolutely smash the coffee drinks.

I’ve been here 3-4 times now while waiting through a family member’s medical appointments. While I invariably stand out like a shambling golem in work pants and tar stains, I’ve never been treated with anything but the utmost courtesy.

More importantly, while the food is good, the coffee is aces: rich, deeply flavored, and not at all bitter. I compare every espresso drink to a cafe breve I remember fondly from a street cafe three blocks from the cathedral at Notre Dame. Story Coffee is one of two coffee shops in my embarrassingly long life that have exceeded that standard. Amateur tip: try the cortado. It will not disappoint.

If you care about the quality in your cup, this cafe — despite any post-modern despair caused by location — should be at the top of your list of places to try.“

“I had a delicious Burundi pour-over and a cortado. I really loved the pour-over. I sampled some of the Colombian batch brewed coffee and ended up buying a bag of those beans (from Kuna). I also enjoyed chatting with one of the baristas. Their banana bread is also very good but I think that was a bit overpriced.“

“Such a sweet little donut shop! The people who run it are so kind. My boyfriend and I only asked for two donuts, and they generously gave us extra just to be nice. It’s small gestures like this that make a place special. The donuts are great, we’ll definitely be back!“

“Love love love the drinks here! Only had 1 kind of bad experience out of the 60+ times I’ve been here, but they made the situation right so I don’t count it!
The only thing I wish they could improve on is getting more staff! I know it’s a small building but it gets very busy, and I’ve had to wait 20+ minutes with only 4 cars ahead of me constantly. The line can get really sketchy depending on your place in line, as you can easily be in the middle of a through-lane. I’ve almost been hit a few times, no matter how much I try to squeeze out of the way. Not much space once there are more than 6 cars in the line!

“I've been to Paris Baguette in downtown Bellevue several times now, and it's quickly become one of my favorite places. Everything I've tried has been fresh, delicious, and beautifully made. Their sandwiches, wraps, salads, pastries are excellent, the coffee is great, and there's always something new to try.

The staff is consistently friendly and welcoming, and the bakery is clean, bright, and inviting. It's the kind of place that's perfect whether you're grabbing a quick coffee, meeting a friend, or picking up dessert to take home.

I'm so glad Paris Baguette opened in Bellevue. It's a wonderful addition to the neighborhood, and I'll definitely be back many more times!“

“Dont overlook Spring Cafe. This place is a hidden gem with the Best coffee in the area and a great menu. The staff is very friendly (family run) that always remembers you and greets you warmly with a smile. Very fast service but welcoming if you want to relax, work or just sip your coffee.

“This Starbucks is underrated. The employees there do their best to make people happy, and I was not even a customer. I went to the location to pick up coffee grounds, and the baristas at different shifts never hesitated to help me out. They went above and beyond. One barista dove into the bin and recovered a huge bag of ground, and the other emptied out all the brewers and packaged the ground well for me. I took them for granted. I went to another location and expected free coffee ground, but the barista said she was not sure if she could donate coffee ground to me (come on it is trash for you).“

Its a great convenient location for employees and is perfect for meetings.“

“We just pulled out of the drive-thru and got home, and I had to race to write an immediate 5 star review. Our service with Almira was outstanding! My daughter was craving a refresher, and Almira thought to ask if she wanted it caffeine-free (which we didn't even know they offered after ordering this drink a million times before!!); it was like Almira had an intuitive knowing it was the perfect, magical option for a school night. Then when we got to the window, Almira was as kind as could be about a huge miss of an oversight on my part. Even though it was completely my fault, she gave us so much grace and my daughter felt so special and rewarded! This made my mama heart too relieved not to share. “I have been going to this location for years! Everyone is friendly and helpful, Bellevue has two Ebar locations, inside and adjacent to the parking garage outside on the terrace. With the limited food options in the mall Nordstrom is a safe bet!

Vegetarian options: There are a few salad options as well as a tomato bisque option. What I like most of all is the alternatives in milk options, Oat Milk, Almond Milk, Hemp Milk etc

Kid-friendliness: A family go-to for your quick bites and late afternoon pickups.

“My husband & I just moved yo Bellevue and this is by far my new favorite pizza restaurant! Definitely try the Roberto pizza with pistachio paste. I was unsure but the flavor is amazing with the italian sausage! Yum!! Love it!“

“Perfect as always— the baristas here are always very friendly and attentive, and they get my order right each time. I’ve never had any issues here (then again, I’m not too picky). The team’s manager should be proud of their baristas!

“Not enough reviews for this place so here I go. Wonderful customer service, delicious coffee, and great breakfast sandwiches. Plus a cute spot overall. Too many cafes in the area don’t open early enough and this place was what my family and I needed while on vacation. Sadly my kids didn’t like the hot chocolate (they had a nutty flavor) but my husband and I thought those too were super good. Ended up going twice during our short stay. So many great sounding menu items and all the chocolates looked incredible.“
