“I finally got to try Harbor Haute Dogs! This was a killer experience that goes beyond lunch. I tried an all-beef Chicago Dog and that sold me first bite. Peppers, pickles, tomatoes, relish, raw onion, mustard, and celery seed on a perfect bun. I have to say, it was fun trying to balance everything and keep it together while eating. I can’t wait to try some of the more adventurous selections (like the Goober). Best place for a hot dog I’ve ever been to!”

“I have been a Starbucks decaf white chocolate mocha for YEARS because in Houston, that was the best option for a LOT of years and I didn't know better moving to Washington, my native Washatonian husband refused to let me keep that status quo. Enter the little drive up coffee shops everywhere. Some were okay, most were just "EH" but from the get go, Bryan and his little drive up shop have done nothing but stellar service with an equally stellar product. He's knowledgeable, willing to learn new things, and absolutely knows my order before I arrive. But today, I tried something different and have never been so pleased! “Everything we’ve ever had here has been fantastic. The environment is top notch and the employees from owner down are always awesome. Checked out the new brunch menu today. Got two orders of the banana bread French toast and it was incredible. Sunday is always our takeout breakfast day and my daughter said “this is the best thing the little pancake house has ever made” (normally gets pancakes from next door) I told her where it came from and she now has a new favorite breakfast spot.”

One was beginning the clean-up process for closing down the day, the other made the way to the register to assist me. I was even asked if I was picking up or ordering- sometimes if a place is closing down, they will not offer anything past a certain time- I was so surprised that the employees [both] did not seem bothered (had I intended to place an order this close to closing hour) but since I was there for p/u, I was politely directed to the p/u station/area. Happy Fall!

Today for lunch, my husband and I decided to try a restaurant we pass by daily. It's surprising we hadn't visited before—Hello Pho.

Since M&T in Silverdale closed, we've tried a few good Vietnamese restaurants, but I can honestly say that what we ordered and ate here was excellent!

We chose our seats, and the servers promptly brought us menus and water.

The menu featured many tempting options, making it hard to choose. Eventually, we made our selections and placed our order.

As we waited for our meal, I looked around and was impressed by how clean the restaurant was—perhaps because we arrived just after opening. There were no sticky floors or menus, no crumbs on the chairs, and no strange odors. In the past, I've dined in restaurants where menus were left uncleaned and tables were dirty, but not here. Everything felt fresh and tidy. Our lunch arrived quickly, too.

I ordered the Vermicelli bowl with my choice of meat—chicken. The portion was generous and included an eggroll, rice noodles, lettuce, cucumbers, thinly sliced carrots, two smoked shrimp, and green onions. It was topped with plenty of grilled chicken and served with a mild, sweet, and very flavorful fish sauce.

My husband ordered the Yakisoba noodles with grilled chicken. His dish included noodles, stir-fried carrots, bell peppers, cabbage, broccoli, and onions, topped with his choice, of course, which was the chicken. He thoroughly enjoyed it, and the small taste I managed to get (lol) convinced me that I'll definitely have to order it myself in the future—it was delicious!

Our servers were fast, friendly, and efficient. Overall, our experience was excellent, and we plan to return!

For those unfamiliar with Happy Pho, it's easy to find—they're in the Fred Meyer area of Bremerton, WA, at 5050 WA-303. They're located near Little Caesars Pizza and Subway, directly across from Discount Tire.

There's plenty of flat parking available.

**If I had to offer one piece of advice, it would be this: while everything on the menu sounds wonderful, the number of options can feel a bit overwhelming. I had to reread the menu a few times to decide. This was the main reason for my 4-star rating.**

“I eat smaller portions. I don't like paying for a large meal and taking over half of it home. NEVER have I been denied purchasing a kids meal at any restaurant. But they did. How do they know it isn't for my kid? I do have a lot of those too. Literally they said...."it's how we keep the costs down." Keep the costs down?? To add a small grilled chicken breast to a small side salad it was going be an additional $5.50. Side salad is about $7.50. So nearly $15 for side salad. Then recommended gut bomb after gut bomb. lame. Bleh. just frustrated. I would have ordered the kids meal and a shake so they still would have made money. Instead I ordered nothing. I drank some water, sat in a booth with friends, and will eat at home.”

“Came in to pickup our online order and we were told they weren’t able to make crepes at the moment and asked if waffles would be okay, which I said would be fine. He was super appreciative and worked quickly to get our order finished. Once it was done he was very nice and thanked me for being understanding and patient and even gave me some extra candy with my order. While we originally wanted crepes, the waffles were absolutely amazing and I’m happy that is what we ended up with! They were chewy, almost like mochi, and he was very generous with the toppings. Definitely happy we made a stop here while we were in town!”

Despite the sign on the door displaying their hours as being open, the lights were on, the place was empty, and the doors were still locked. We left and decided to take a chance going to the family pancake house just up the street. Though it seemed early to me on a Saturday morning (9:15 am) the place was buzzing, there were bright eyes, smiling faces, and tables filling with people of all ages from small children to seniors. There was no wait, as the seating is plenty. Our server was a familiar, friendly face and we felt welcome to be there. The menu had many delicious options and was accommodating to my dietary restrictions. Everything about this place made me love Port Orchard that much more. And instead of leaving a poor review for the other restaurant, I felt compelled to leave a raving one here instead!”

And the menu and selection of tasty treats is extensive and spot on. A mellow break from the real world.”

“I needed a venue to have my BNI (a networking group for business professionals) Halloween party at. I was given the recommendation to check out Crane's Castle Brewing. I was very happy to find out that we could have it there for free as long as there were under 40 people there. Perfect!

The night of the party the gal behind the bar was so friendly and took care of everyone in my party. It was unfortunate that our party coincided with the last Mariners/Blue Jays baseball game BUT they assured me that they could get the game on for us. Everything was just perfect!

They have a lovely establishment. It's spacious and clean. They have lots of board games, Corn Hole, pinball machines, a working bowling game from the 50's in the corner that was really old and cool. Taco Rico also had their food truck outside so in case people in my party wanted something other than what was brought (you're allowed to bring food in there, just no beverages) they had options!

I was just blown away by my experience with Crane's. They went above and beyond in my opinion. Thank you all so much!”

Though it seemed early to me on a Saturday morning (9:15 am) the place was buzzing, there were bright eyes, smiling faces, and tables filling with people of all ages from small children to seniors. There was no wait, as the seating is plenty. Our server was a familiar, friendly face and we felt welcome to be there. The menu had many delicious options and was accommodating to my dietary restrictions. Everything about this place made me love Port Orchard that much more. And instead of leaving a poor review for the other restaurant, I felt compelled to leave a raving one here instead!”

“The Bremerton Figure Skating Club held our annual awards ceremony at the Cloverleaf last Thursday. We had amazing, incredible, outstanding service from your employee Emory. She had a smile on her face the whole time, didn’t get overwhelmed, and was super helpful. She was very kind to my daughter who was nervous to order her own drink. She helped me with food and drinks for the club, advising how much and when to order. I haven’t had customer service that good in a very very long time. And the food was great too! Thanks so much to your venue, Emory, and all who helped make our event an awesome experience!”

“OMG, this is a very interesting restaurant. It’s actually the Galley here at Naval Base Kitsap Bremerton. Only could I know because a friend told me about it. Great soup, and solid entree. Love that this galley has Gold Peak unsweet tea, and sweet tea, and for sure the other two fruity ones. Great selection of drinks, including sparkling water/soda. Best fries around. Though, the food on soup and salad bar and entree overall on brunch days is questionable. Tables could be cleaner.”

“I wish they were open for longer on weekends. It's the only place a lot of people have to go to get internet and to play games and relax after a long week of hard work. The hours here on maps are wrong, they open on weekdays at 6AM and close at 8pm, and on weekends open at 10AM and close at 5pm.”

“I and my wife went to lunch. I ordered Szechwan beef and she ordered Mongolian Beef. Actually I’d had a low expectation because of some reviews. However it turned out to be excellent! Beef was super tender and very flavorful.
Also it was less than 10 dollars per person. Amazing deal!”

“We loved Gyro Star. Since we live in Kitsap, it is so rare to find a meditarrean restaurant but to find one that is remarkable; wonderful! The menu hits the classics that one finds within the mi-eastern dining menu; humas, baba ganashe, schwarma, and everything you would imagine. The food is clean, presented well, absolutely flavorful, and priced great. And the service is exceptional; clearly the team works from the heart! Highly recommend!”

“I've never had anything upsetting happen at this subway before. But today I went in around 1230 and the young man was taking count of what needed to be in the bar, I was the only customer inside and I waited patiently but I honestly felt ignored after about 3 minutes (I was on lunch so I was watching the clock) he said he'd be right with me I said no worries trying to be kind and 8 minutes later he finally assisted me, I asked 3 times for a 6 inch and by the third time he didn't seem to hear or wasn't paying attention I thought I was speaking loud enough idk. I had to repeat several times the toppings and he still tried to put anything on the sandwhich. He seemed so irritated by my presence I was so uncomfortable but so hungry I didn't want to leave and waste the food he had prepared, when I said again at the register that it was supposed to be a 6 inch he visibley shrugged and still charged me. I didn't know what to do at that point so I just paid and left. I felt so out of place and such a bother to the young man I didn't even get to ask his name.”

“The pizza here is great, the location is good. The four stars is for the staffing. It seems like everytime I go in there the store is lacking employees. My last trip was on a Friday night and only two employees were there. As we were waiting an employee comes through the door with McDonald's in his hand, the lead girl says your late......and then he proceeded to go eat his food all the while the two girls out front struggled to keep up. The lead called for him twice but no show. It shouldn't take 20 minutes to get 2 pizza's together. Bravo to the two girls who busted their asses to keep up.”

“We got the "supreme" pizza - pepperoni, salami, sausage, mushrooms and onions. Also had a Ceasar salad. Their Ceasar dressing is to die for. It's absolutely delicious, fresh lettuce, it was great! The pizza was SO good, super cheesy, right amount of toppings, sauce was on point and the crust was cooked perfectly. A very family friendly atmosphere with fantastic, friendly and fast service. One was the breakfast Tacoma burrito the second was the carne asada platter. Oh and the carne asada fries. Anyway if you like/love Mexican food go here!”
