“I love that I can walk to this restaurant, sit out on the patio and soak up the sunshine on a warm afternoon. One thing I appreciate about this establishment is the openness to feedback and the desire to change dishes. I tried a pizza about 5-ish years ago and wasn't a fan. I saw that the chef recently changed the way they do pizza so I tried one again. I was blown away at what a huge improvement the new process made. I was even able to eat the crust, which I typically discard. I will no longer pass the pizza kitchen to get pizzas at "that other place." Still not a fan of their table bread, a bit too dense, sometimes I just eat the top layer. Overall, their dishes are delicious!“

“Another nice dinner. Enjoyed both the Artichoke and Shrimp appetizers to start. Linguine Mare was wonderful, loaded with seafood! My friend enjoyed the roasted chicken. Did not order dessert. Overall a very tasty dinner from start to finish.“

“My family and I regularly go to the Ballard Farmers’ Market and get pizza slices from Vespucci, a pizza vendor with the best pizza in Seattle - hands down. When we found out that they had an Italian restaurant we knew we just had to go. And so we did. All I can say is that the food is some of the best I have ever had, and you just need to try it out for yourself because the whole experience is amazing.“

“the vibe inside is really homey. the price point is great. I was able to comfortably order a few things to try. I also think the portions were good. the duck ragu was very good. I enjoyed that plate very much. the sauce pairs with the duck very well. it's fork licking good. the carbonara I didn't care for, I didn't finish it. it didn't taste quite balanced. also my pasta was under cooked. I checked to see if maybe I was given buccatini on accident but no, it was just underdone spaghetti. overall, I'll try it again. my experience I think was good for a first visit“

“We had a meal here for our first time. It was an absolutely wonderful atmosphere and delicious! We ordered a margarita pizza, veggie pizza, eggplant parm, standard pasta and sauce, and more. The menu/ordering process is a little challenging to figure out but worth the challenge. We’ve been twice and both times excellent. The salads are great, house made mozzarella with these sweet tomatoes and a balsamic reduction - so good! Tonight I had the gluten free pasta with mushrooms and white truffle oil, fried tofu, homemade sausage and ghost pepper oil. It was so freaking good! The atmosphere is fun as well, open, vibrant colors and Italian pop music. Welcome addition to Totem Lake.“

“My favorite place to eat in Ballard - the food, the staff and the atmosphere are all a delight, every time! They even cater to special dietary requirements and do a vegan pizza with actual vegan cheese (rather than just the bland stuff you’d normally get in most places), and their wholewheat crust is to die for! They also do the best dolma and the best hummus veggie platter. My whole family and I keep coming back, thank you!“

“With restaurant prices in Seattle so high, my husband and I are very particular about when, where and why we go out, so we tend to have very high expectations when we do go out. Last night was my husband’s birthday and we chose to give Lioness a try. We had a fabulous time! The service was perfect, our servers were so nice and perfectly attentive without hovering. I ordered the Lioness martini, and at $25, I was expecting something out of this world. It delivered! We ordered the burrata, Billy’s tomatoes, gem lettuces and the cavatelli pasta. Each dish was fantastic! There have been reviews complaining that you only get one slice of bread with the burrata, but the slice was big, thick and perfectly toasted, it was plenty for sharing the dish! The tomatoes had a nice spice, chili oil? Beautifully balanced. The gem lettuce salad was delicious, again a good balance between the nuttiness of roasted hazelnut in the vinaigrette and the salty creaminess of the grated cheese on top, The cavatelli was my least favorite, the pasta was a bit heavy for the sauce, I felt that a spaghetti or angel hair, being more delicate, would have been better with the fantastic sauce, but it was still delicious! We finished the meal with the chocolate cake, a beautiful sweet but not too sweet ending to a great meal. When you are spending over $200 for two, you want it to be worth it and our experience at Lioness was. Thank you Renee and you wonderful staff!“

“We went for Seattle Restaurant Week. It was good and the server was friendly. We tried all the appetizers, which were all made gluten free. The clams were great. There was one main dish that was gluten free, the risotto and that was light and tasty. The gluten free dessert was an affogato and it was incredible. We also celebrated a birthday and they brought a tiramisu, which was nice. This location does not offer gluten free pasta, which limits the main dish options, but the Bellevue location does!“

“The first time I went to olive garden was with my mom and my grandma. The wait wasn't too long even though the restaurant was full. We got seated and our server was super nice. Not only that but the food was delicious. You can repeat soup and salad and even take bowls of these ones home. The amount of kindness that this place has is super heartwarming. Honestly, one of the best restaurants I have ever laid a foot on. Every once in a while I go with my family or my friends, which by the way two weeks ago I went there after homecoming. Even though they were about to close, they were still super nice and the food was just as great. One of my friends left a big tip that night. Recommend 100%“
