“This is a place people are sleeping on. Very much a place where you feel welcomed, get a little bit of shit (in a good way!), and can fully chat with the person next to you without it feeling forced or awkward. Also super dog friendly with responsible dog owners is always a plus.“

“While on vacation we looked for a distillery on the map during our trek back from Vancouver to Bremerton, the drive was so beautiful, we arrived to the Distillery about 30 minutes from closing time but the owner Mike was so welcoming and gave a tour of the still room which was very exciting. We tasted a few products and chose a few to fly back with us to Michigan. I wish I would have had more room available in my luggage now that we are home and have already finished a bottle of Raspberry. This was such a great find and a highlight of our trip.“

“Langley Kitchen was recommended by Second Street Salon staff when I mentioned grabbing some lunch after my appointment. I had the Frittata and Mac-n-cheese. The crust & veggies of the frittata were firm, not soggy, providing a pleasant depth to the overall smoothness. The flavors contrasted gently, making each bite so wonderful that the frittata was gone too fast. The mac-n-cheese was the perfect change of pace; penne pasta and sharp white cheese are a decadent combo that will make any day better. The servers were pleasant & efficient. I will be back soon to try more .“

“This coffee shop is really nice to spend time in. The music and the atmosphere is really cozy, and reminds me of a more traditional style cafe.

There are a lot of different syrups on tap so you can get lots of different flavors, but the base coffee (in my case, espresso) is hearty and present, without crossing into the overwhelming bitter flavors.“

“Ubuntu Meat Bar restaurant is a nice place serving African style food in a small strip mall. It is quite small inside for dining, but we were the only ones sitting in the restaurant and had it all to ourselves. Walking in, the restaurant is decorated well and we were promptly greeted by the server/bartender/cook. You have to look up the restaurant menu on your phone to order, which my family found a little odd, but the sole proprietor was helpful when you rang a bell on the counter to get his attention from the small kitchen; he was always in the kitchen cooking for Uber and take out orders which seemed to be a big part of their business. The menu was quite diverse with dishes we had never seen before. He put bottles of cold water on our table so we could fill our glasses. He also brought us our drinks that we had ordered then went back to the hidden kitchen to cook. It was very quiet inside so we had no problem talking with each other over the two tables we had pushed together as we were a group of five people. It took him a while to start bringing out our appetizers, sides and mains in a staggered fashion as he was the only cook. We were a little disappointed our mains didn't come out at the same time, but we started eating and sharing food anyway. The taste of the food was quite delicious with some unusual flavors of spices we had never had before. We all thought the portion sizes were smaller than what we thought they would be for the high prices and what the pictures on the menu looked like. Overall, we did have a tasty experience with some good conversation and left happy. If you've never had African food, go ahead and give this restaurant a try at least one time.“

“The Flower Cafe has the absolute best street tacos I’ve had outside of Southern California. The meat is perfectly seasoned, tender, and moist, and they definitely aren’t stingy with the portions! You only receive two tacos, but honestly, there’s enough filling for four. This is easily the dish on the menu that gives you the most bang for your buck.

The setting is quaint and spacious, with a lovely outdoor patio where you can relax and eat under an umbrella. There’s plenty of seating inside as well, but I personally prefer sitting outside.

The staff is always super friendly and welcoming. And if you feel like being a little naughty, they also have some sinfully delicious baked goods that are very hard to resist.

Overall, the prices are a little on the high side, but the quality, portions, atmosphere, and friendly service make it worth it. And seriously, get the street tacos. You won’t regret it!“

“My partner and I loved the atmosphere and all of the gnomes hiding around the place; it felt warm and inviting. Service was friendly. I felt like my crepe could have used more filling, the bites would sometimes have nothing in them besides the crepe itself. My partner did enjoy his crepe though. “I discovered this place maybe about a year ago and it is so good I sometimes go through phases of eating it even a few times a week! The staff is always very friendly, almost feels like family. They have a really cool fish tank with a bunch of fish right out front , and then there is the most important thing, the food! I have never had a bad thing on the menu here. I am on a mission to try every type of banh mi that they have, but I'm not there yet. I have had a good amount of their appetizers, most of their varieties of banh me sandwiches and have never been disappointed. “Bluewater is Everett’s best kept secret! Organic spirts with fun infusions…blueberry gin, raspberry vodka, house made limoncello and the 6 year bourbon is delish! Chef Bryan curates a fun menu with rotating specials all from scratch which is rare these days. We met John the owner, great conversation and we can tell he is very passionate about all things Bluewater. And our bartender Hannah was very sweet and taught us how to start making our sourdough.

“First time going there, for take out. Items were all marked which not many places do, and helps a lot when you are ordering for a number of people. Excellent curries, in particular the Penang curry. Tried their Chaing Mai sausage, which was great. Will return!“
