“Absolutely delicious! It is how ice cream should taste. Love the kindness each time we visit. The art on the wall is amazing! Really adorable place. Try the "apple pie" flavor. ”
“This is in my humble opinion, the best Indian food along the Columbia river. Even up to the headwaters. It's got a very rangy menu and I would've given it five stars but they just raised the price out of my regular customer income bracket. But you do get what you pay for.”
“This was the first time I ever got to try Indian Food and the waitress was amazing and helped me find something I would like. Started with some samosas then got the lamb Korma (with some garlic naan). It was so good and so flavorful. Definitely will be back to try more items on the menu!”

“I love this place. I come here with my kids and we never get tired of it. They have great service, 24-36 flavors, endless toppings, the BEST coffee (no joke), and yummy lunch! I've also enjoyed coming here to study, work, and read while enjoying some coffee and food. The kids also love the arcade, foosball, coloring, and board games. They really have it all! So happy to have this family outing available :)”
“Defiantely best in TD! My all time favorite is the tacos, salsa Verde and Super burrito. I've never had a better burrito before ANYWHERE. the service is always so friendly and love that it's a family together. Always a great stop, even has outdoor seating.”
“The food was really good, very flavorful, and sauces were tasty. There weren't any wait staff, really, so I had to get my own drinks and such. Not a real big deal, but for those needing that service, one may have to make that known when ordering. Staff were nice, but they seemed young and not very attentive to the dining area, at least in my experience. But, this by no means is a huge issue for me. It is just an observation. The food was very good and that is what matters the most.Parking: There was a community event the day we visited so parking was a little tight. We had to walk about 2 blocks from a street disabled spot. Those with mobility challenges may find parking an issue, but the short walk we had was easy.”
“This place was so cute in a quiet neighborhood. Food, coffee, and service was amazing. My friend is lactose intolerant and has finicky stomach and the staff worked amazing with us to find food for BOTH of us.Dietary restrictions: My friend is lactose intolerant and has finicky stomach and the staff worked amazing with us to find food for BOTH of us.”
“My parents used to come here on dates in the 60's when they opened. Hard to pass up when I'm in town. I usually get the Traditional Combo but went with The Grazer and it was good...fresh and filling.”
“Such a well kept secret, and a hidden gem!!Cozy tasting room with unique and exciting wines that also has sweeping views! Host was friendly and knowledgeable as well as accommodating. My kids loved exploring the surroundings while we tasted. Only place I've ever enjoyed wine while looking at Mt. Hood. The Gris is amazing!”
“This little brunch venue in The Dalles just took the number one best breakfast stop! Highly recommend, everything is freshly made... ohh you just have to go there and try for yourself.”
“I stopped here while on a hunting trip. I like the food and the service. It's very clean and welcoming. The server was friendly and cooked my burger. Get there before 2:00 P. M.”
“Nice surprise. Somehow we'd never noticed this bakery, but very glad we found it. Grabbed a donut, a raspberry turnover, and a cream cheese & jalapeño stuffed bread for breakfast. The cake donut was soft, fresh and not overly sweet...but the other 2 were the standouts. We loved the flavor and uniqueness of the bread. And the turnover was one of the best and flakiest I've probably ever had. Service was adequate and the place is tiny with a couple of tables inside. The black coffee was average, but glad they offered. Yummy pastries! Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area and wanting a tasty treat!”
“Good burgers and fries. Milkshakes were good too and they have lots of yummy flavors. Not a lot of parking but we got lucky. Although it was lunch hour the service was pretty fast. Definitely would stop again!Wheelchair accessibility: No ideal but possible”
“Down in the area for work and I stopped in for an aftet work beer and dinner. Pork belly Mac and cheese was amazing. Super yummy! The meatball sub was huge and almost had to be taken home....almost! Great service and great atmosphere and the beer was great. Will definitely be stopping in again on our next trip through the area!”
“I’ve been wanting to stop and try the burgers. They did not disappoint. Yummy! Unique options to pick from the menu. What a neat place. The owner answered all of our questions and seemed to love what they do.”
“I can't believe the wine is so good. A unique process for making the wine produces the most wonderful flavors. Everything they make is absolutely delicious. Very nice people.”
“The family that owns & runs this cool food cart couldn't be nicer. We stopped in on a whim for some BBQ, but were pleasantly surprised to find a Veteran's Day Parade about to start right in front of their spot. They were the only cart open and I believe we were their first customers of the day. We had the brisket chili with cornbread, a cowboy parfait, and some mimosas. The parade was happening, the proprietors were having a good time, and we felt like family watching everything with them. They were chatty and funny and an all around great family. The food is really great but the service is what sets this place apart. We can't wait to get back there and try something else! Thank you for an amazing experience!”
“We have eaten here often and enjoy the staff and the great food, but I noticed that they have RAISED PRICES AGAIN.It's no longer a regular place to go with the new prices. The bill for 4 adults with no alcoholic drinks came to $80 with the tip, at the top of my budget for an everyday place”
“This place was wonderful. We ate there multiple times last winter/spring can hardly wait for the new opening.Parking: I had easy accessKid-friendliness: My Grandkids were well entertained by the staff.”
“Small, intimate family run winery with wonderful and affordable wines. Julie was attentive, knowledgeable, friendly but never intrusive. Located right on 2nd Street in The Dalles, it's a great place to stop if you're wandering the various tasting rooms and bare pubs in the area. Since it was my first time here, I did the flight. The first wine, the Locomotive, had me with the very light taste with hints of honey and papaya. Not one to typically drink whites, I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. On a warm or even hot day, this would be perfect. As I made my way through the tasting, I found that I was enjoying several of their wines. The High Tension, their club favorite, was a full bodied blend of Syrah, Merlot and Barbera. A perfect everyday drinking wine And good for parties where you need a wine that pleases many palettes. The other standout for me was the Barbera. Very smooth, full body and slightly jammy. Since I'm in a Barbera club at Cascade Cliffs, I left with the Locomotive. I'm looking forward to a warm spring day to sit in my deck and enjoy with friends. The tasting room inside is small and simple. A picnic tables and seats out in the paved area out front, nice on a sunny day. I'll definitely be back.”
“I had driven by and thought it was just a local dive. Someone told me it was a good restaurant. Opened the door and was pleasantly surprised and suddenly felt underdressed. Very elegant decor and music. Servers were great and the food was delicious. Would definitely recommend.”
“Once again ( yes, this kind of thing has actually happened to me here before) I have come through the drive thru at Dutch Bros. in a REALLY bummer of a mood and from just the interaction i had with the person working there my mood has been completely turned around. This isnt just customer service, its people taking care of people. Thats super cool . Thanks you guys”
“It is a food truck with an inside eating area a full bar and pool table, family atmosphere. The owner of the property was super nice. I love that he supports local artists by showing their work. Good drink selection and very decent wine. There's also a great Vietnamese truck, wood fired pizza truck and Thai food amongst others.”
“My first time stopping in so they gave me a free loaf of fresh bread of my choice! Nice. I selected a rustic hard crust whole wheat from Portland Bakery. Thanks! While they clearly have a lot of bread items - English muffins, white bread, whole wheat bread, sourdough boule, hamburger and hot dog buns, specialty breads like cinnamon and apple crisp - they also have several varieties of muffins, breakfast bars, and cookies. Even Little Debbie treats, Moon Pies and Pizzelle cookies. Jams and jellies, too! Crackers, honey, bottled juice - so much!Prices vary depending on whether it's fresh bread or a few days old. The fresh bread is about $1 or 50 cents less than grocery store. The day old is half price or more. I picked up a pack of sourdough English muffins for $1.50. For large families that consume a lot of bread and bread products, it's worth a stop. They even have loyalty punch cards. And for those in need, they donate bread that is close to expiration date. Very friendly staff. Huge parking lot. Convenient location.”
“I am really loving to explore this are of Washington. Cor cellars has become a must stop for me. I love the architecture. Modern and elegant. The staff is friendly. They play good music. The wine is also delicious. I usually get the cheese and crackers as well”
“Good simple Chinese food. Great portion sizes. If you order a plate of general tso's chicken you get a plate of general tso's chicken not a couple of slices of chicken on top of a salad. Overall great food and a good ”
“Every time I drive through Grinders, I feel like I'm greeted by friends even though I haven't had friends that worked here in a long time. The baristas are always in a good mood, and they don't get upset when I tell them I don't tip with card.”
“The best pizza in town!!! By being here you save me a minimum 1 hr round trip to HR, thanks. The pizza has always been on point consistent. Both I and my wife love the food, but when are we getting desserts? My daughter has celiacs disease and loves your gluten free pizza as well and the salads are great… thanks for coming out hope you stay.Dietary restrictions: My daughter loves the gluten free, not easy to please her.”
