“Karl's has been around forever! They made my wedding cake in 1975! I still stop in whenever I get to Everett. They have the best custard filled donuts I've ever had (my absolute favorite), and the raspberry bars are to die for. Sooo yummy!! I've always had good service there, good coffee, killer donuts. The only place I'll ever buy custard filled anymore“

I like local business, and I will be happy to go back to Simply Sweet again.)This was my first time using this bakery. I liked that I could order online, and be very specific about the flavors I wanted. One of my cupcakes was unfrosted. That was weird. Sadly, I didn't notice it until I got home. I didn't have time to drive back, so I just fixed it as best I could and took them to the party. I called to let them know, and they said, the owner would be in touch. I never heard anything from the bakery after that. Would I go back again? Maybe, but I would probably try another local bakery first. Attention to detail is important. And, follow-up is even more important.“
“I’ve now been four times, and I have purchased some version of their Brookie each time, as well as other sweet items. I’m hesitant to keep buying these, because all of their baked goods are kept together in the same case, and the sweet seem to absorb so much flavor from the savory items. Maybe it is the close proximity with which they are near the savory (scones, usually), but when you’re expecting a cookie or dessert type item, and it tastes like herbs, it isn’t very appealing. They have two display cases—maybe they could move the few savory items they have to the other side to prevent this?? It’s really unfortunate, as the textures have been lovely, but it’s pretty costly to not love it.(*As others have noted, prices are not readily available unless you ask.)The breads are really good—flavor and texture are fantastic. If I could rate these apart from the sweets I’d give them a five star.I’m grateful that this place exists up here in Snoho, and it is clean and well run, but I will stick with savory items or those from the freezer case moving forward unless the storage situation changes.“
“I am the incredibly lucky recipient of a chocolate cake with Bavarian filling for my birthday from this bakery and may I just say it is DELICIOUS! It’s also been saved and eaten for days now (with refrigeration of course), and it hasn’t lost any flavor or texture. I have gotten baked goods from this bakery before and not only will I and my family be repeat customers, I highly recommend it.“
