“We ate outside on the patio while the street fair was going on. It was a lovely day. Highlight of my meal was the Pear Elderflower Collins. Very delicious. Pricey food for what you received, though the food was good. We had some dietary restrictions due to allergies, but Ayla, our server corrected the mistake just in time! The Cure Square Large Pizza was the favorite. I would come back again.

Parking: Sometimes you get lucky and find a free parking space, like we did!

Wheelchair accessibility: The streets can get steep. I had a knee injury and it was a challenge walking. Steps lead up to the restaurant, not sure if they have an easier access. Parking is very limited.“

“My husband and I love going to Nicki's Bella Marina for dinner. I had the Fish and Shrimp combo. It had 6 pieces of shrimp and 2 huge pieces of batter-fried fish. One of the pieces of fish had to have been almost 10 inches long, it barely fit on the plate, and the taste was amazing!
My husband had one of the burgers and it was so big he couldn't even finish the fries that came with it.
The service was quick and the wait staff was very friendly and chatty. Overall a great experience.“

“Such great bread. My first real introduction to GHB. I was a regular for while I was doing a contract job in the area. They have the best cinnamon bread and jalapeño cheddar bread excellent! I have tried many GHB since, they are all good but none of them have made their Cinnamon bread quite as good hasBellinghams. I don’t know the secret. Please the husband owners are so nice and everyone is so friendly.“

“Their service is good and so is their coffee. But I did barf up the mocha that I had yesterday. I ordered a mocha with three espresso shots. I deduced that something in it wasn't right and caused my stomach to react. But I've been to Wood's before and I usually enjoy their coffee and their shop's ambience. The moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted by the warm and welcoming staff, who set the tone for a fantastic early morning experience. The interior, both clean and inviting, offers ample seating options inside and out, perfect for any kind of weather.

The menu is a treasure trove of delectable choices, but two standout items made my visit unforgettable. The "Gourmet" sandwich, served on a perfectly flaky croissant, was a symphony of flavors, especially with the added hash brown that brought a delightful crunch. Equally impressive was the "Beast" sandwich, also on a buttery croissant, which lived up to its name with hearty, satisfying ingredients.

To compliment these culinary delights, we indulged in an oatmilk latte and a regular latte with a single pump of coconut. Both were expertly crafted, with the oatmilk latte offering a creamy, slightly nutty flavor, while the hint of coconut in the regular latte added a refreshing twist.

What sets Avenue Bread apart is not only the quality of the food and beverages but also its convenience. It's one of the few places in town that opens at 7:30 am, catering to early birds like myself who crave a delicious start to the day.

In summary, Avenue Bread in Fairhaven is a must-visit. With outstanding food, exceptional service, and a welcoming atmosphere, it’s no wonder this place has quickly become a favorite of mine. *Perk - a mama deer and her two babies walked just outside of the restaurant as we ate. So cute!!

“Supon's Thai Kitchen was nearby our accommodation, and the good reviews drew us in! Their menu (according to Google) is not updated, so I recommend going to their restaurant for more accurate pricing. Had the Kee Mao with chicken at a 0 spice level, and the Holy Basil with pork at a spice level of 1. We added a bowl of brown rice ($2.50). Both dishes came with an abundance of thickly cut vegetables cooked just right, with a slight crunch but not overcooked or soft. Good serving of meat as well! We have a low tolerance for spice, so even their level of 1 had a slight kick, but was manageable! Their Thai Iced Tea was refreshing as well.

We got the vibes of a family establishment. On a Wednesday night, there were a few patrons dining in, but also people coming to take out food. Would return if in the area!“

“Ate lunch here with my daughter 11/13/2024 the food was fine, small one scoop of rice served with dishes of Pad Thai Chicken Star 2 (could not taste that it was Star 2) and our other dish Swimming Fame Star 3 (could not taste it was Star 3 either). Sadly, after bringing our food the waiter never came back and it was lunch time at 11:45am. NO WATER REFILLS AND WAITED. There were 4 other tables and one server and not busy at all. Finally we are done waited for our bill and the male server did not still even come to the table as we had been waiting now for 10 minutes for the bill so I got up to catch his attention to bring the bill. He did not say a word even like how was the meal or even notice our water glasses not refilled. I gave him my credit card and even had to ask for a Too Go Container as one was not even offered. I would highly suggest to the owner that the waiter be trained when it is not busy or busy to pay attention to customers and come by at least once, refill water, and the bare minimum ask "how is everything" as we ate our meal which was fine, but we would have mentioned it appeared to not be seasoned with Star 2 and Star 3 on either meal. “Good portion sizes, great service, and a great atmosphere make this place a good experience. I had the biscuits and gravy 2 hard eggs, bacon and a pancake. The biscuits were soft and fresh, the country gravy was good but the sausage in it was basically bland and tasteless it was so mild. The eggs cooked to perfection and the pancake was large and filling. My favorite part was the maple syrup... it was rich and buttery rather than overly sweet like so many maple syrups can be. The server was smiling and energetic though busy. She was attentive and prompt. The atmosphere is calm and peaceful in an open floor plan with a bar in the center. I recommend this place. I want to go back and try the lunch menu next.“

“Avenue is an iconic Whatcom County lunch/breakfast spot and they always hit just right! You genuinely can't go wrong with anything off their menu, and I love that I still feel great after eating there.

Love how easy it is to customize different sandwiches to adapt to dietary needs and everything just tastes SO good. Plus, I feel they're super affordable and love that you can pickup a loaf of bread or sleeve of english muffins on your way out!

“I have celiac and the gluten free options were phenomenal. I had the Korean chicken burger and the mac and cheese. Both were amazing, I haven’t had a breaded chicken burger since diagnosis years ago and that’s one of the things I desperately miss. There’s also not a crazy up charge for a gluten free bun, I think it was $1 to switch the bun. They also marked on the order that I was celiac so the cooks knew. I’m super symptomatic and didn’t get sick. Unfortunately I don’t live around here or I would be a regular there, but will definitely be going back next time I’m in town!“

“I had a great experience at Fiamma Burger!

I asked if they could warm up my food, but instead, they went the extra mile and made me a fresh burger, which I really appreciated. The customer service was fantastic, and the baked potato burger was seriously delicious—it had just the right mix of meat, onions, and potatoes, making every bite perfect.

The hot, fresh fries were a great addition, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, making the meal even better. The onion rings were also amazing, crispy and packed with flavor.

Everything came together so well, and I’ll definitely be back to try more!“
