“Delicious! Quickly made to pick up. Great location. Sides especially seasonal side are to die for. 4.3 or whatever stars is really understatement for people who do not understand or do not like real bbq. Reminds me of my visit in Austin TX. My favorites are briskets (sliced or chopped) and pulled pork. Ribs are same as Texans, too peppery for my liking. Prefer sweet ribs.“
“Absolutely a must-try - the roast duck dry noodles and the combo rice plate are exceptional! Arrive early as they tend to sell out daily. The pickled greens on the side complement the dishes perfectly. Just be aware that parking might be a bit challenging due to nearby construction.“
“Excellent BBQ , great environment, and a very nice staff! Our family enjoys getting the large family Combo that feeds 6. You'll recieve multiple meats , cornbread and sides that allow for everyone to get something they like. Overall It ends up being cheaper than if everyone ordered separately, which is nice. Big fans of the brisket, ribs , mac-cheese and baked beans !Kid-friendliness: Good family restaurant environment!“
“First time here and it didn't disappoint. Had brisket with mac and cheese, coleslaw and beans. Brisket was so tender and flavorful. Bbq sauce was to the point as well. Online ordering was a breeze, service was quick and friendly. Restaurant was clean. Will be back for sure.“
“After Door Dashing an order my car smelled so good that I had to come back to get a pizza for my husband and I. We ordered half double pepperoni and half Tikka Masala. Omg it was so good. Double pepperoni covered every inch of the cheese on the pizza. Just the right amount of sauce. Tikka Masala was out of this world, sending my tastebuds to heaven. The caramelized onion and curry was pronounced and not too much. Pizza price and size of 18inches is just right to feed a family. It came with two sauces, garlic butter and butter ranch, as well as spicy packets of sriracha and powder cheese. The staff were friendly. I arrived earlier than my scheduled pick up and the pizza was done right at the time I had originally ordered it for. I am now curious to come back and try other pizzas. Closest entry point to this restaurant is the entrance to the mall right next to Target at South Hill Mall.“
“Honestly, this place has really good food based on my experience today. It is very casual and boot ? stomping fun, especially because you get all the peanuts ? to munch, and you can throw the shells in the floor. This is a place to come and a good meal and have some fun.“
“This place is a trip. A time and location warp. This place would look the same in a southern TX town in the 1960s. They prioritize great BBQ and service, nothing else. I spoke with the owner and his mom for awhile, they preside over the oldest BBQ joint in the state. We ordered half the menu, all of it was awesome. I will be back.“
“I visited this Korean BBQ restaurant with my family, a party of 6 including 2 kids. The atmosphere was typical for Korean BBQ establishments, nothing exceptional but pleasant enough. However, the food truly stood out – it was amazing, with a wide variety of delicious side dishes, all of exceptional quality. The meat was also of good quality. The staff were professional and attentive throughout our meal. I highly recommend this place for anyone craving a fantastic Korean BBQ experience“
“My daughter took me to here on 3/20/20. We were wanting some Korean food and her friend had suggested to her that we try this place.Boy! It did not disappoint. My favorite is the Kalbi short ribs with all the beautiful side dishes. My daughter opted for the Kimchi hot pot or soup. The food was delicious and tasty! ?Service was awesome. ? We would definitely return again.Highly recommended!Tip: you can go across to Melody Boba for dessert. That’s what we did! LOL!“
“If you’re on à la carte, everything is good and perfect. Interesting banchan everytime, 10/10. Portion size is big as well. But I won’t recommend their BBQ buffet, the quality is kinda off for me. They’re also selling lettuce on the side for an extra of $2 or $4 (can’t remember). But for that buffet price, it should be included. So their a la carte is good, but you should try korean buffets in federal way.“
“This place was good! We got the rose ttukkbokki, soy garlic chicken, and original chicken. The rose ttukkbokki was on the watery side but has amazing flavor... I wish they gave out small bowls for it since it was so watery. The fried chicken was good but make sure you decide whether you want the wings or the half or full size of the chicken. Will be back for our next craving!“
“This the best fast food bbq restaurant kinda thing. I reccomend this place when you tired of cooking for yourself or your families. Their service is fast like no later than hour to wait in line to order and to cook your food. The atmosphere need to be more neat and more space for family to dine in. All in all, the food is what matters, so go order and enjoy the fresh island bbq.“
“I ended up at this restaurant kind of by accident as all my other choices were closed the day I was going for lunch. But curiosity led me here and I have to say the food is really really good. Also, the nice lady who is the hostess and server reminds me of my abuelita from long ago, so she added an extra special touch too my personal experience there. The atmosphere is fun and colorful, with plenty of seating. Service was fast. The food was tasty. And it was pretty affordable considering how expensive lunches can be these days. I think I'm going to go back for the ribs and try those next.“
“The food was delicious. I ordered to go over the phone and picked up. They was on time with my order and made sure I had everything I ordered as I was leaving. Everyone at our get together all loved the burnt ends. Was so good. Nothing was left over. Thank you“
“Yeah, it's super far if you're coming from Seattle, and it's pricy too. But if you're a lover of fried intestines and Korean bar vibes , I think Makchang Drama is totally worth the trip. Make a day of it. Hang out at Southcenter Mall with some friends, go to Round 1 arcade, travel down to Makchang Drama for guts and KBBQ, then find a noraebang (Korean karaoke) spot on your way back up. Drink a bunch of soju. (Not the driver.) Get merry.I love makchang (beef intestines) and gopchang (small intestines) for their chewy, fatty texture and super savory flavor! If you're not a fan of fatty or chewy meat products (like chicken skin, pork belly, tendon, offal, etc), you might not be a fan of this. But if you love guts (like me), you'll love these! They come out on a smoking hot grill so they're just a bit crisp on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside... mmm... I'm salivating just thinking of it. Cut through the oil with some somaek (soju + beer) and you're cooking! We ordered a couple of other dishes (like the boiled pork) and it came with free banchan (side dishes). I definitely would go again, and often -- if only it wasn't so far! It's all the way down in Lakewood, just past Tacoma. I'll just have to settle for only making a special trip once in a while.“
“Local, cozy, down to earth, clean fun and inviting place... I'd go here a few times a week. The service was incredible and friendly as ever. Genuine location, and the food is perfect comfort food. You've gotta go. It's location off the beaten path and you easily over look it with all huge trucks going past it and industry around it. It's a hidden gem. Love it.Parking: Easy“
