“My favorite dishes are the fried fish Sichuan style with green beans, hot and sour soup that you can't find better anywhere else, and lately , the boiled beef that comes in a fantastic rich red saucy broth that is wonderful with white rice. You can get that same fried fish dish, swapping out for a tofu or chicken.And I really love the tofu style as well. The beef chow fun is always good too.“

“Have had the lunch special several times now. The food is fresh and the sauces are very flavorful. I highly recommend the Mongolian Beef, the Kung Pao Chicken, and the Pork and green beans. The special includes soup and an egg roll. Both the hot and sour and the won ton soups are some of the best I've had. What a great deal for such delicious food. Will definitely be back!“

“I got the duck and BBQ pork lunch combo. First, the sauce they put on it is fabulous. The pork was actually my favorite. I’d never had Chinese BBQ duck before and it’s a little too fatty for me. The cabbage that comes with is very flavorful but it was cold. Maybe that’s how it’s supposed to be but it just surprised me.
There is extremely limited indoor seating. I’m talking 4 or 5 tables. And they serve everything in to-go containers.“

It came with a nice portion of rice and fresh salad. My wife ordered the chicken and gyoza meal that was delicious!
They have only raised their prices One time that I am aware of in the last few years even thru covid and it was not extreme like most of the other restaurants.
I would say i would have raised them more myself.
I fed my wife and myself for $25

“Locally owned by a Chinese couple for many years. In my opinion they sell the best fried rice and pork buns in the state. The buns are always fresh and warm and so delicious. I've had fried rice from easily a hundred different restaurants in both the USA and Japan and their fried rice is still one of my faves. “I was looking for a quick and affordable food spot nearby as my boyfriend and I were waiting for our groomer to get our dogs ready for a wedding. I definitely shouldn't have thought jajangmyeon as my first option but I was also super hungry and it was the cheapest thing on the menu, while I was also thinking it wouldn't take that long. Plus they were open early which was great as we were in the area around 10am! When we arrived, there was a older gentleman who greeted us then looked like he was prepping for the day. He can speak Korean and English just fine too. Once we were ready, we placed an order of jajangmyeon and egg rolls and he brought us out banchan. I did ask for more daikon but he seemed to have forgotten or maybe left as his daughter was there delivering food, tea and taking orders. She was a lot more attentive, she would check in on customers and was very friendly! Also it turns out that my boyfriend's friend who he has known since high school was that female employee, so for those saying the owners have changed, they have not.

There is plenty of seating at this food court as well as other options from sushi, Korean food and and this spot that serves Korean-Chinese food. The lighting here is a bit dark but it is light enough to take different photos. It's not too cold nor hot either. You can also leave your plates, utensils and trash on the table and someone will come get it.

The jajangmyeon was really good, I was surprised as I feel like there aren't too many places that have good jajangmyeon in Lakewood but I can say it is way better than the other places that serve in the area. I usually don't scoop up the sauce but it was actually really good. They offer kimchi, onion and daikon for their side dishes which I think is perfectly fine. They do offer refills and when I asked for more daikon, the kind female employee even gave me extra vinegar. My boyfriend said the egg roll was pretty good too. We look forward to coming back!“

The main location Operator or his second is always there, talking with the patrons, cleaning the dining room, and making sure his staff is on point. Not a giant menu of dimsum (which usually comes in 3 pieces) but each order is 8 pieces. The bun looks really good too. Always better to go in a bigger group to share. “Brought my non adventurous husband to share a family meal for 3-4 people with the idea of having it for supper as well. The flavor was fantastic. We both had two full meals and one of us will have a nice sized lunch as well. I brought home the Super Dragon sushi roll to share with my son, it also was a hit.

“My boyfriend was craving teriyaki on a Sunday which as many of you know that teriyaki places are usually closed on Sundays. However, we saw that this place opens on Sundays (they had several banners saying that they were open on Sundays too) after the original place we wanted to check out had a sudden kitchen maintenance. This restaurant is a lot bigger than other teriyaki restaurants with booth and chair seats, plenty of big or small tables, two TVs playing different sports, and it was the temperature was perfect. They have a big menu so it's easy to see the prices and their offerings, which consists of teriyaki, soups, Chinese food, sushi and bubble tea. Their prices are very reasonable and the upcharge on fried rice is the lowest I've seen but I think there's a reason for that (it's pretty bland). The cashier lady was efficient at her job but definitely could be friendlier and I wish she wasn't super snappy, there was no real rush and we were maybe their fourth order during that time.

We opted to dine in and took our seat waiting for food. They have offer fountain drinks and bottled drinks, as well as water cups. We got our utensils and sauce cups first then our food arrived not too long afterwards. My boyfriend got their chicken teriyaki and chicken katsu combo with fried rice while I got their chicken teriyaki and California roll combo. I love that they have steamed veggies as I like to enjoy any remaining teriyaki sauce with them. The California rolls were decent, not the best but not the worst either. The teriyaki sauce is pretty good, it is a great mix of sweet and savory. They are also very generous with rice as there was a bed of under my teriyaki and two scoops. My boyfriend enjoyed the katsu and the sauce that came with it was very delicious! The only issue we had was that the fried rice had no seasoning or color, I almost thought it was white rice with some veggies at first. Other than that, a solid teriyaki joint that seemed to have a good amount of people coming in to pick up orders for the most part.“

We had a fantastic experience at Peking Garden. The portions were very generous and the prices were extremely reasonable, which is getting harder to find these days. Every dish came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor.

The service was excellent as well. The staff was friendly and attentive, and you could tell everyone took pride in making sure customers had a great meal. We enjoyed it so much that we ended up leaving a tip not only for our wait staff, but also for both chefs in the kitchen.

If you're looking for delicious Chinese food, large portions, and great value, Peking Garden in Sumner is definitely worth a visit. We left full and very happy with the entire experience. Highly recommended! 🍜🥢⭐“
